I wouldn’t send my WORST enemy there!
I went there for the first time on a friends suggestion! Number one… a very BITCH crew! Number two… said one price then up’ted it x5!
Number Three… directed me to a different operator (hadn’t asked for HIM) and most of all… when I asked them why they were jerking me around… THE OWNER SAID «I’M CALLING THE POLICE.?I’M WANT YOU TO LEAVE THE SALON… UNREAL AND SO UNPROFESSIONAL.
A REAL NIGHTMARE!

R Salon is a real finder. I called on Saturday at around 3 pm to learn that Christina is available for my hair cut at 4:30 pm. Not only she cut and styled my hair beautifully, she also spend some time making my highlights looking natural and vibrant. I loved everything: the professionalism, the atmosphere, and the fact that I was able to get an appointment with Christina the same day I called. I would highly recommend this place to all my friends.

R Salon is magic! I go in feeling old and tired and I leave feeling like a million bucks! The entire experience is worth every penny! Christine usually does my hair cuts and blow outs but I would recommend anyone! Everyone is so professional!

Came for highlights left with none plus brassy and red looking hair. On top of it my hair in the front was burned off so now The front hair is broken and it looks horrible. The best part of it is that the hairdresser was constantly saying how nice it looked after my hair being soaked in glaze for 20 minutes there was nothing except for my reddish spots on my hair. It is a disaster! I Spent $ 200 for my hair being ruined literally!!! bad choice I decided to try this place based on their review and trust me do not step in unless you want to spend money to look worse than before. I don’t even want to go there for correction not to end up with something worse.

If you live in the area, look no further. R Salon is the best. Just had an amazing color and cut by Tommy. Thorough consultation and meticulous craftsmanship. He is a true professional. The staff is very nice too. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Before this I had the same stylist for 16 years before I moved to Edgewater. I was very skeptical about trying someone new. My hair looks and feels great! I’m beyond happy. See you again soon Tommy!

I have found a jewel. Christine is an artist, and to top it off, she listens to what you want and has a true gift of knowing what looks best on you!!! Unlike others who so what will get them more $ and not care about your needs. She is caring, truly talented and really gets it!!! I so recommend her!!! I am never leaving!!!

I went to this Salon on a recommendation from someone. My hair is baby fine, colored and pretty damaged. Christine took the time to really consult with me about how to fix the color and ultimately get my hair to where I want to be. Some salons give you the whole sales pitch what products you must have in order to look good. She is a true professional as SHE made me look good. I have been looking for a «home» for a long time and I believe that I have found it! The salon itself is nice, clean and comfortable but Christine is what will bring me back again!

2^nd time here, first review, and once again, very happy. Christine is AMAZING! So friendly, honest with what she does, and highly professional & talented. I’ve really never been so happy with a hair salon. All the staff is pleasant and I’m so happy to have an excellent place nearby to keep coming back to.

I’ve been going to R Salon for at least 3 years and it has been a great experience every time. I’ve moved away from Edgewater now and I still go back because I haven’t found another salon that I like as much as this one. They always have availability when I need it (I like to go on Saturday, a busy day), the prices are really reasonable, the salon is clean and professional, and the haircut I get is always great and lasts a long time. Tommy has been cutting my hair the whole time, he gives a great cut. He listens to what I want, but he makes suggestions about what he thinks looks good too. I have recommended this place to a number of people and would continue to recommend it.
My husband sees Christine, and she does a great job on his thick curly hair too.

Christine gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had in my life. I cut off about 10 inches from my waist length hair and she gave me a trendy but practical cut. I was super nervous to chop all my hair off but She gave me the confidence to really go for it and I’m glad I did! When i Got to the Salon it seemed that her previous client was running a little overtime, but she gave me a free conditioning treatment while i Waited. I love when places make an effort to Give their customers great service when things may not always run smoothly. Needless to say I will be back here for my next cut!

I have been coming to R Salon for at least 2 years now and have never left disappointed! My brother in-​law started coming to see Tommy, and then brought my sister to see him. I live in Virginia and loved her haircut and color that I made the 4 hour drive up to see Tommy for my hair. He did such an amazing job that every few weeks I drive back from Virginia to get my hair done with him. I’m constantly getting compliments on my cut and color! He now also has my mother coming to get her hair done by him!
Tommy really takes the time to listen to what you want and makes sure you’re happy with your color and cut. I’ve never felt rushed by him and feel like he truly takes the time to make my hair perfect.
The team at R salon are so nice and welcoming! I also love that I’ve never had any issues scheduling an appointment with them.
If you’re looking to try out a new salon I’d hands down recommend Tommy and the team at R salon!

My hair went from brassy, dull, and dry to beautiful golden locks! I called the salon and spoke to Tommy, the owner. He was extremely helpful and patient with all of my questions. He booked me the next day with Christine, who was professional and knows her stuff. I had the balayage highlighting technic and a haircut. Her assistant was also a doll. Nice people, excellent service, and relaxing atmosphere.

Great! I recently moved to Fort Lee and was looking for a new salon in the area. After reading favorable reviews I decided to give R Salon a try for the first time and Im very happy I did! The salon was packed when I arrive, around 11am on a Saturday morning. The staff was very friendly and personable. Nilda was amazing and took the time to chat about what I was looking to do and made sure I was comfortable. I am so so happy with my cut and will absolutely be back again!

The Best! Before I found R Salon, I was the type that would move from salons to salons. I was never happy with cuts, color, service, etc where ever I went. One day by luck I found Christine and I’ve haven’t been to another salon ever since. I usually go there with a style and color in mind and she always does my hair the way I want it. I get tons of compliment from my friends and coworkers! The atmosphere of the salon is comfortable and not pretentious and expensive.

I would love to give this place more stars, I’m new to the area and am excited to try out new places. I’m not sure if I expected more from R Salon because of the Unilocal reviews, but it seems to be a small notch above the typical hair salon.
I had an 11 am appt with Tommy, but didn’t get seen until 11:20. He was finishing up with his client and since it was a Friday morning, he was the only hair dresser in.
After waiting 20 minutes, Tommy sat with me for a few minutes to discuss what I had in mind, and I had my hair washed and was seated to be worked on in no time.
Five minutes into our time I realized that Tommy was the owner and well worth the wait. He takes his time, seems to take pride in his work, and provides a good haircut experience.
I would give the salon four stars, but I’m going to wait and see how this haircut lasts. He offered to trim my bangs whenever I needed, he said just stop in, and I’ll definitely take advantage of that.
Tommy is great, but he’s the owner :) Salon seems slightly above average, but I will continue my quest for the 5 star salon… stay tuned for an updated review.
As of 11÷26÷12, I’ve changed my review to 4 stars. The haircut looks great and Tommy trimmed my bangs wonderfully at no charge as promised.

I just got my hair magnificently done by Tommy at this salon. I got a cut and color done for $ 120, which I think is very reasonable. The stylist was friendly and paid attention to detail. I also got an eyebrow threading for free!
I’ll definitely go back.

I think I found my new hair salon in Edgewater! Came in frazzled after a long week and walked out feeling relaxed with a great cut. Tommy is a hair genius!
Before washing, we had a quick consultation. I have been very neglectful of my hair since moving back in the area and in this horrible summer heat, have ‘trimmed’ my own hair at home with disastrous results. (bad bad bad, I know). Tommy completely reshaped my hair, while respecting my wish to keep it long. He has a very easy, calming manner … so soothing I almost fell asleep in his chair.
His staff is very nice also. R Salon is sleek and modern in décor but laid back and friendly in atmosphere. I will definitely be going back.

First time coloring my hair in over two and a half decades of life… and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Tommy (the owner) takes very good care of his clients. From the moment I walked in he was extremely prepared, receptive, and showed full attention. We took a moment to discuss the game plan, coloring options, the cut, etc. And then we were off! It was a pleasant and simple experience from there. The staff also offered me a discount off their other services while I was waiting for my color to set in and I chose to do my eyebrows with Ava, who did a wonderful job. I walked out a new woman… I’ll pay anything for sexy alter egos any day.
