So I call up, order one of the smaller christmas trees for delivery to my house. They said it was $ 100. Ok, a little overpriced for their smallest tree-but I am a business owner myself and support small businesses. He tells me that they will deliver AND pick up the tree. They come, I even tip the guy, which I think it was the owner. Then January 7th, I call and text the same guy to come get this tree-and NOTHING! No call back, no text, nothing. NADA! For $ 100, that includes the service of getting the tree. They did not care-they got the sale and moved on. They are not a stand up company, they do not follow through. The reason why we ordered a tree for delivery is because we business owners and very busy. The fact that he was too busy to come pick up the tree? Horrible business practice. It took me 5 months to write this because I am busy-which is why we chose someone to select and deliver our tree. Not good business follow through in place, what a shame.

this is our 3rd year getting a tree from Kevin’s lot… super friendly staff, fast delivery and set up and great quality tree’s. It is now 1⁄7 and we have had our tree since around 12⁄12 and barely any needles have fallen off and the color is still a vibrant green.

We arrived yesterday before 6:00PM to the lot and were shown a few trees and settled on one. We requested to have the tree delivered and were told we would get a call when they were on their way. We waited until about 10:30PM and finally called to ask where the tree was. There was no answer so we left a message. Kevin called back and told us he was sorry and they were very busy and they could get us the tree in 40 mins! after 11PM. I then asked if he could just deliver the next morning. He advised yes. We were hesitant as this is already unacceptable for a company to wait until after 10:30 to even reach out to the customer. He told it would be no later than 10:00AM. Now to the next morning. It was around 10:30 when I called them as the tree had yet to arrive. Again, no communication on their part. I spoke with Kevin again who advised the delivery driver was not there yet and he apologized. I asked him when we would get our tree. He said before noon. Well, noon arrives and I called him once again and he then asked me if I could wait even longer. Well, I had had about enough and told him to cancel the order. I told him they should have told us how long it would have taken to have the delivery service done. I also said we could have had the tree put on our car ourselves but since they advertise this service, it seemed convenient. He then said, well they could have done that. I explained to him that thats not the point, they provide the«service» and clearly it was a problem. He then told me «It’s not like this is a pizza delivery service. I apologized to you already, theres not much more I can say.» The demeanor in which his tone changed was not professional and essentially as if we should have just accepted the lateness and lack of customer service. This is not how businesses should be run, wether you’re a pizza service, a tree service or anything else. Customer service is customer service wherever you go. I would highly recommend finding your tree somewhere else.

I wasn’t so sure what I wanted in a tree and was unaware of how much it should cost. I paid $ 70 for what should be one of the better trees(limited needle fall) on their lot standing at 6ft. Once I got home we took off the netting, stomped it on the ground, and tons of BROWN needles fell off and brown leaves. I should’ve bought a rake too! My tree was dead inside. Lesson learned, I’ll be better prepared for next season and find some other tree dealers.

Kevin was great, I texted him all my details and the tree was delivered within the day. Normally, we would take it home ourselves but my husband blew out his knee and a 6 – 7 foot tree is too much for me to handle. Dante called before arriving, set up the tree beautifully and was very super nice. Would recommend in a heartbeat!

We just moved here from North Carolina — concerned we would not find fresh trees. Kevin’s Tree Barn has FRESH trees from Banner Elk, NC! The staff was super helpful with great attitudes: trimming the base, bagging the tree, tying to top of car. If you want a great experience, go to Kevin’s!
