I really want to give this place the benefit of the doubt but can’t. I’ve had two bad experiences with them. The good news: they have great egg rolls and Hmong pepper sauce. The bad news: their take out system is awful. Twice now they’ve forgotten to make my order. Their Pad Thai is just okay. I prefer Egg Roll Plus.

Located at the old Pad Thai, it serves similar food, just not quite as good. Sit down and take out, Singha is very casual. It also serves things Thai hot, not American hot — so be careful when you order The Thai coffee and Thai tea is very good, as are the appetizers. The main dishes I have tried are good, but not spectacular. Also, the portion sizes are not as large as Pad Thai served Overall, good food in a casual location. Mali Thai in Chippewa Falls is better, but Singha is fine for casual dinner with good food

My wife and I have been eating here for the last few years and we disagree strongly with the negativity seen in most of the other reviews. Yes the atmosphere’s bad — but both the food and the service are consistently exceptional. With my wife pregnant again we’ve been eating in or ordering out at least 2x/week for the last month. We ask for fresh spring rolls(not on the menu but $ 3 for 2), pad thai, red curry, and tom yun goon. I don’t see us switching it up now, we love each item.

Food was so-so and service was dismal. I specifically ordered vegetarian food, my soup was sent out with occasional pieces of meat. Also, my soup and main curry dish were brought out simultaneously AND check was presented within a few minutes of that. Don’t bother to waste your time with this place. Just my two cents.

It’s alright, but others in the area are a bit more consistent and high quality. The Pad Thai I had wasn’t all that great; the noodles were soggy and overcooked, the shrimp was overcooked(and had the tail shells left on), there were odd, random pieces of tofu in it, and the whole dish smelled a ‘musty’, which wasn’t super appetizing. The shrimp, in addition to being overcooked, had the texture of something that also had been frozen for a very, very long time. I’m not sure which combination of spices it was that made it smell like that, but it wasn’t too pleasant; most other Pad Thai I’ve had has been very fragrant and full of fresh basil. The only green here was a few chopped scallions. On top of all of that, it was pretty bland with an aftertaste of something incredibly sweet(reminded me of the sweet dipping sauce for egg rolls). I’d ordered hot in terms of spiciness and it didn’t even have a mild bite. The only things that appeared fresh were the cucumber, lime, and bean sprout garnishes. Just to make sure it wasn’t me, I asked several co-workers to have a sniff and a bite, without mentioning the above and got similar reactions. The egg rolls were fantastic, though! Crispy, not greasy, well stuffed, and perfectly seasoned. However, I can get good egg rolls AND good Pad Thai at two of the other local Thai restaurants, so I don’t think I’ll be back to Singha any time soon.

Absolutely the worst Thai I have had in a long time… but on par for the Eau Claire area. It’s amazing what passes as acceptable Asian cuisine in these parts. My wife’s Musaman curry was okay, but nothing exceptional and tasted like a box curry. My Pad Thai was bland and I had to add Satay peanut sauce(the satay had good flavor but really dry) to give it flavor and for some reason chicken Pad Thai also includes random pieces of tofu… maybe they ran out of chicken at 530 pm? Save your money for a trip to the Cities and go to a respectable Thai place, like Supatra’s Thai Cuisine, where the food is amazing and they even have Salad roles…

I like Singha. It’s fine and reliable for Thai basics. They will actually make things spicy for you if you ask. I’ve had the red curry, the vegetarian egg rolls, the tom khai soup, the shrimp pad thai and the drunken noodles. It’s not on the menu, but sometimes they can make fresh spring rolls(the unfried kind) if they have the ingredients. The ambiance inside is pretty low-budget/bare bones. I usually get take-out. They get slammed on Fri and Sat nights and once they forgot to put in my to-go order so it took almost 30 minutes, but they gave me a coupon for a free entrée which was nice. And they are open past 7pm and on Saturdays, so they have the edge over Egg Roll Plus in that regard.

We wanted to eat here once before and the line was out the door. maybe a year ago so we went elsewhere. Then we came back and the sign outside said CLOSEDFORREMODEL ok… we came back a month after that and we noticed the name of the place had changed… odd(formerly PADTHAI). We think cool its going to be redone inside. Um everything was the same when we were there before. So was the health department there? The food was not great like we had read on Unilocal. The egg roll was good but the chicken PADBAIKRA-PAUL was with literally 3 strips of chicken 2 pieces of assorted vegies(each). And it wasnt cheap! The place is really very very run down and dirty. Service so slow for only being 3 couples in there. Wont be back… so sad thought I would love this place.
