I like this bar, my band plays here every so often. The bartenders are nice, the prices are average, and the music is great.

Absolutely a horrible place, smells like drugs in the whole place and very dirty. Will never get even close to this place again!

I have to come back here, to be fair. The bartender was nice, which was a shocker to me. My brother called me over to the bar from our table as he was getting drinks. She needed to see everyone’s ID’s before giving him the drinks. Not a huge problem, just… that doesn’t happen often in my personal experience. I didn’t eat anything, but my bro and hit GF liked the cheese fries a lot. A LOT. They have a pool table and some games in the back which was pretty cool. Very metal and punk rock feeling. I want to come back, but not because I was in love with the place… I dunno why I want to come back lol

Went here for a show last Friday and it was an interesting experience to say the least. The venue itself was kinda small, but then again it was a bar so I won’t question it that much. The bar kinda had a whole«local watering hole» meets«Cheers» meets«punk bar». Does that paint a picture? While the show was fantastic, my one complaint was that the dance floor was relatively small. As someone who likes to dance, this was a giant no-no. Another thing that irked me was the bathrooms. As someone who’s a little claustrophobic, this was a nightmare. It was about as big as my closet and there were 3 urinals and a toilet in it. Mind you, the toilet didn’t have a door. The saving grace of this place was probably the beer. They had a nice $ 4 draft special after 10 and even the beers beforehand were cheap which I appreciated greatly. There’s a very slight chance of me going back here but overall it’s not the worst venue I’ve been to.

It was a quiet Sunday afternoon and we were greeted by a welcoming and friendly bartender and had some really great burgers, delicious fries, and cold beer. When out hiking we always look for a good local Pub to enjoy a lunch at afterwards and Mothers was an excellent choice. Don’t expect Friday’s, Chickee & Pete’s, or similar, as this is a local place not a chain. It has character and feels like a good local bar should. It evan has a pool table to round out the atmosphere. Definitely check it out.

Don’t worry when the locals stare at you when you walk in — it’ll pass! Went in Monday around 6:30 pm. Pretty empty, but the staff was great and attentive. We ate a bunch of apps — loaded fries, onion rings, mozz sticks, cheese steak eggrolls, and wings. The mild and sweet and spicy were VERY spicy but the honey BBQ was amazing! The food was very good!

I really liked it here. I don’t say that about a lot of places, but Mother’s has the sort of laid-back, dive-bar type feel like I like. They have an awesome Jukebox system which had every song I searched, and our bartender was a very chill guy, and he definitely hooked us up on drinks. He even poured us shots for my engagement to my fiancé.(he over poured and it ended up being four shots each) FOFREE. The food is decent too, and overall we had a really good time here. I only gave 4 stars because the crowd in there can be sort of sketchy but I mean it’s Easton.

I was only here for drinks on a Saturday night. Loved the Quoits boards, beer menu is mostly big corporate brands. Overall had a good experience. Prices seem ok.

Mothers is Easton’s dominant dive bar, and it’s exactly what you should expect after reading that statement. A small storefront gives a glimpse inside while a couple tables sit near the handful of steps leading to the front door. Once inside you’ll find yourself in a narrow but long establishment, with the bar running along the left for about half the length of the place. Past that is an open area with a table or two, a pool table, and sometimes a quoits game. It’s somewhat dark and while it’s ostensibly an Irish-themed bar, there’s no consistent element of design. This being said, it’s cleaner than one would expect a dive to be and the disparate elements come together well enough that nothing is too jarring or unpleasant. There’s a couple televisions in the bar, usually set to sports, and the music seems to be entirely at the whims of whomever is using the jukebox. This leaves to lengthy periods without music, and wildly varied styles and themes of music when it is playing. The food is usually made quickly enough and isn’t bad at all. The menu is the standard ‘bar food’ fare, and isn’t demanding of any great compliments or derision. Don’t go expecting gourmet samplings, go expecting the sort of food that goes well with a night of drinking. The drinks are good, though the skill level of bartenders seems to vary a good bit. The selection is satisfactory to any but those with exotic tastes, and the prices aren’t bad at all. There are often all number of specials which are usually worth taking advantage of. Mothers doesn’t have many ‘events’, but they do occasionally bring in a live band. On these evenings, the place becomes uncomfortably packed and incredibly loud. The clientele are a mixed lot. The bar clearly has a large group of regulars, but seems to attract a broad cross-section of other Easton denizens. Earlier hours will even find kids and families in the place, while the later evening will sometimes draw in college-aged patrons. Mothers is not likely to be a place where you’ll meet new friends or get yourself some phone numbers. It’s a place to start your night or finish it, a place to grab an affordable bite while maintaining your buzz, a place to connect with old friends and say your hellos to your social circle. It does not pretend to be anything but what it is, and it succeeds well in maintaining itself. If the growing number of competing establishments will leave it in the dust is something only time will tell, but I expect that Mothers will be a staple of downtown Easton for some time to come.

I’ve had a few visits since my last review in April 2012. Drinks were awful, I ordered a Captain and coke and my girlfriend a vodka cranberry. The drinks were $ 14 for 2 doubles. The value was terrible considering we didn’t drink more than an ounce of our respective drinks. Avoid their standard well alcohol. Mixed drinks are served in plastic cups. My recommendation is to stick with beer. They have a jukebox and a pool table. Depending on who’s making the music selections, it can destroy an open demographic of customers in the establishment. The jukebox volume was relatively loud during our visit. Overall, Mother’s appears to be a solid college hangout. The location is not appealing to the masses, but has a reasonable niche in the Easton bar scene. The drink quality needs a lot of work, the poor quality of the mixers was very disappointing.

Mothers Bar & Grille is a must visit if you are just traveling through town and a hott spot if you are a local! With a kid friendly atmosphere during the day along with great food & drink special it makes for a great family experience. Weekend entertainment is always going on and fun pub atmosphere makes it a great place to grab a pint with some friends. Philly cheesesteak spring rolls, the dip trio, and their other homemade meals are to die for! Get to Mothers!

Well, the drink I had sucked. But it’s a fun bar if you got friends and are already drunk. Go when there is a show and it’s much better. Stick with beer.

One of my favorite bars in Easton. Spring-Fall their is seating available outside and their drink price is decent. Quoits available in the back. Amazing perogies.

Surprisingly kid-friendly during the day, this bar has great food, and a nice kids’ menu. Unfortunately their service wasn’t the fastest in the world. Good beer selection too!

Good beer selection but the crowd can get either old and swinger-like or ready to fight at any second.

We stopped in before happy hour so had to pay $ 5.50 for a tiny cup of rum and coke. Very disappointing! Place looked like it could get packed and be a good time but when we went we were the only ones in there, which was fine bc we were doing a late afternoon/early evening bar hop in Easton. We figured we’d be the only ones out before 5 on a Thursday. Didn’t try the food and only stayed for a drink, but if we were back in the area we’d give it another go and take advantage of their drink specials!

I was here a number of times prior to this weekend when Mother’s was under previous ownership. I am pleased to say the new owners have turned this establishment around 180 degrees. A friend of mine and I had dinner here and the menu was most of what you would expect at a pub, but tasted much better. They have daily specials and are always adding onto the menu. Service was fast and friendly. The owners, 4 brothers, were accommodating and attentive; they seem to really care if you enjoy your experience at their establishment. Overall I would say if you are in Easton, go grab a pint and some grub at a fine up and coming restaurant.

I’ve been here once and had a really good time. It’s a typical bar scene with beer and food. If I went out more in Easton I’d go here.

Cheap beer and a decent selection of tap beers. decent bar food, try the wings they are damn meaty and always please my belly. they got quoits in the back which is always a plus for a bar in my eyes. two pool tables and they have bands every so often. it can get crowded due to the way the bar is set up. you will be asses to elbows on the weekends. but the bartenders are cool and/or hot i been going for 6 years now and its my regular so i know most by name. anyways, go there and have a cheap beer and a cheesesteak wrap.
