Nice atmosphere, hip crowd, unique décor, the staff was very friendly, the beer and cocktail list was extensive, and the food was good.

Love coming here. Atmosphere is fun, dark, and mysterious. Burgers are outstanding. Blithering idiot sauce is a must try. I put it on everything! Their wings are fantastic. Their frites are delish! Everything is home made. Been coming here since they had which brew.

Came with friends for restaurant week service was horrendous. Food was mediocre for the price. Everytime I come here it gets worse. This is probably the last time I come with there being better places in the area. Last gripe, the beer is over priced when compared with other places.

This was my second time visiting. The first time I did not enjoy my meal at all, but I decided to give it a second try. First my Coke was flat– but that happens at a lot of places. My appetizer was awful– the pork mac & cheese. Would rather have been served Kraft out of a box. Tasted like nothing. The cheese was not good and the orecchiette was disappointing. Fish & chips was the worst meal i’ve ever been served in my life. Not what I was expecting and no matter how much vinegar I used I still could not consume this huge chunk of tasteless fish that looked about the size of a forearm. If it was prepared correctly perhaps I could have enjoyed it. However my friends enjoyed their burgers, could be the only thing they have going for them here.

The black and blue burger is amazing! The staff are very friendly, too. The only complaints I have are that the menu is very small and doesn’t change much. Oh, and bundle up if you go in the cooler months. It gets pretty chilly in there!

Had a great visit to Black and Blue tonight. Wonderful craft beer selection and great Halloween type atmosphere. Food was awesome, we had the pomme frights and white pizza. Best white pizza we have had since leaving northern NJ. We will definitely be back.

Great place for a good beer, friendly service and great food. Bar /Pub food kicked up a notch, and other options if you want vegan or more«entrée» like items. It is tucked in a neighborhood and it is what is — check menu and drink options if you’re picky. We go several times a year, and the staff is very friendly to our 10 year old daughter —

Like a most recent review by(Kevin-louis B. in Sept of 2015) — we too tried again. It’s really unfortunate this place could really stand for improvements yet doesn’t. We too had a problem with wanting a drink, non carbonated and had to settle for tap h20. This really is UN-like most other places comparable in the city. I have no idea why this is so difficult for them. We were never offered the evening special(had looked prior on line) just handed a menu and clearly not updated from the prior time we were in. For the price and the food there simply are other places better in town. The décor could really be improved by a simple trip to a flea market instead of so much new fake things. We get what you are going for but tack too? It’s quite a shame. We really wanted to give this place a try and it’s not worth it.

Gave it a second chance and it was more disappointing than the first. Do you have non-alcoholic beer? No, we don’t. Do you have any hefeweizen beer? No, we don’t.(It turns out that they have several wheat beers but the wait staff doesn’t know what ‘hefeweizen’ is).Do you have iced tea? No, we don’t. Do you have sparkling water? No, we don’t. Do you have any kind of bottled water? No, we don’t. Do you have dijon mustard for the burger? No we don’t. Enough said… Music is very loud. Service is mediocre. Food is average.

Went here on a whim with my wife and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Not quite sure how to explain but a cup of goth, dash of Halloween, and a drop of funeral parlour and mix well. Service was very very friendly, a bit slow on the delivery of food, but special requests were pulled off without flaws. Burgers are what seems what many get and wife had one before that said was very good. This visit we had a few other items and all were solid and well worth their price(and I felt prices were reasonable). Some items on menu were creative, but also plenty of pub style take offs as well. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Parking does kind of stink. My advice is park against the courthouse area. This neighborhood is changing for the better, but parts still have a way to go.

Very interesting and eclectic place. I am a fan of the interior décor which has a Halloween vibe to it. They have an entire drink menu devoted to absinthe which is cool if your into that plus lots of craft beers. They offer a variety of menu items but have delicious burgers!

One of my favorite places in Easton. I really like the interior, it’s got a cool dark vibe. Also, they’ve got a great beer and drink selection for such a small place. The food is always good, love the blackened tuna bites. Recommend.

Cozy funky ambience– think Halloween meets gastropub, awesome beer selection and delicious affordable pub food. I’ve been here several times and the food and service are consistently on point. Easton has a lot of restaurant options and Black and Blue is a great go-to!

One of my favorite places in Easton. It has a Gothic, Halloween décor, which is definitely unique for the area. They also have a great absyinthe selection, which I don’t know any other place in the Lehigh Valley that can match that. Get the black and blue burger paired with a glass of Weyerbacher Insanity. It is a winning combination. Also, if you are getting a table for two you may be treated to some very comfy chairs ;)

Really like it here. Interesting gothic-esque vibe, with a fun mix of people young and old. The menu is interesting too, with a good beer selection. There are no TV’s so no sports playing — huge plus for us!(o: Only complaint is that they’re often closed when we try to go…

This is a cozy, neighborhood restaurant several blocks from«downtown» Easton situated across the street from the courthouse. Parking can be a little challenging at times, but that shouldn’t deter you from the ample craft beer selection. Just be prepared for a dimly-lit, almost gothic-style interior… which isn’t a bad thing, just can take a moment to adjust to… not to forget some of the scantily-clad servers and bartenders, too — so the place certainly has character. All said, this is a comfortable stop with attentive service. Not a bad place to enjoy a beer or two for sure.

So much beer. And that atmosphere! Of all the bars in Easton, Black and Blue takes the cake for style. Nothing else compares.

Really mix feelings on this review. First to walk in and from a bright outside it took a while for eyes to adjust. They went to sit us at a darker table and had to move to one that had a little table lamp. Before sitting they told us the specials, please let us sit. Many speciality drinks, just give me a plan drink. The appetizer was something with cheese, when it came out the cheese could not be cut, but was ok. My dinner was the speciality hamburger, yes big, but after the first bite nothing special. She got the chicken Caesar salad, to much vinegar to the point could not finish it The service was excellent, the décor just wasn’t me and the food was not special. Would I go back, probably not, sorry

Black & Blue is a nice, but small, neighborhood restaurant and bar across from the Northampton County Courthouse. It’s location away from Downtown Easton’s regular business district made it take a while to visit the business. Inside, the business is perceptively small. We went on a busy night, so that may have made the venue seem more cramped than usual. They have an L shaped bar that can be difficult to navigate around if the place is packed. As a bar they have a pretty solid microbrew selection and serve their beers in miniature«yards» of beer in a holder that doubles as a handle, a pretty cool concept. They have a nice wine and cocktail list, but weren’t accommodating if a mixer you want isn’t on the menu. While we were here we also sat down for dinner. I had the Black and Blue burger which was delicious and perfectly cooked to medium as requested. The melted bleu cheese, crisp applewood smoked bacon make the burger absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend had the Chiappinelli Roast Beast, which she described as delicious. The service here was satisfactory, the ambiance«so-so,» but the food is fantastic. Not the worst place I’ve visited and certainly not the worst. A-OK for a visit.
