Black Forest Acres II

Had tons of good stuff. Very limited selection of prepared foods but I sampled a bunch of different items and they all were delicious. I’d rather have few options and have them all good. You can tell the ingredients were all top notch too. I’m just traveling through but if I lived I the area I’d frequent this place for food shopping. Prices were all on par if not a little less then comparable stores in the northeast

Great place for everything natural and healthy. They have all the foods that are hard to find. Big selection of herbs and vitamins. Produce is always fresh too. Very helpful staff.

Ever come to place so hipster that they have to name it Black Forest Acres II? This is exactly that, the same old, organic, overpriced, hipster, small market. I would stay away from the produce here as their is limited selection and it doesn’t seem very fresh. I do give compliments to the staff here — they are very helpful and do not mind talking to you about your specific needs and helping you find what you are looking for, but it still does not justify the $ 6 price tag on the small Apple Cider Vinegar bottle that I bought. I might go here again if my bank account gets too full or if I do not feel like turning on the furnace to burn my cash. In reality this may be a store for those who are looking for very specific organic or gluten free products and do not feel like going to the city (I think I counted 20 different types of gluten free pasta).

It’s small but has quite a lot packed in to a tiny amount of real estate. They stock many supplements, packaged goods, beverages, and dry goods such as oats, rice, flours, and dried beans. The produce section is tiny and sort of sad, so you’ll probably wind up going elsewhere for that.
There are usually only one or two people working here at a time, so if they are both involved in extensive conversations with other customers regarding nutrition and supplementation, you may have to wait quite a while to check out. This can be a pain if you’re in a rush, but the employees ARE very knowledgeable about the products they sell.

Good place for health food and vegetarian products. Not a lot of other local options. Only place locally for decent vegan «butter», and certain types of flour.
