The food is NOT authentic Japanese or Korean. Their plate is covered with rice and then thinly covered with thin slices of meat. Regretted going there.

Its very addicting! I love the chicken and pork teriyaki combo, must have it 3x a week. Reason I give it at 4 star is because I’m a little upset they closed the Wenatchee location which had bigger dining room with a waiting staff. Also had a bigger serving and the fried rice tasted waaay better. Overall the teriyaki still delicious and will continue coming back.

Not sure why this place gets such good reviews. Not that it’s bad, it’s just average IMO. The building is old, tables are not wiped down, the«dining room» is vinyl chairs and Formica tabletops, ok. The food is on the pricey side for a not overly big serving of meat and veggies on top of a TON of rice. So, they make the food look bigger by plumping it with fifty cents worth of white rice. Fine. The flavors of the teriyaki and spicy sauces are very average. No culinary originality whatsoever. Still, it’s sweet and salty and spicy and it is really the only game of its kind going in East Wenatchee so props for that. That’s the only reason I keep coming back. If there were anything better, I’d be there.

We have been going to Teriyaki Js for a long time. And I’m so glad we live in East Wenatchee too because this restaurant is close to home. What I really like about Teriyaki J’s is that I can call in our order and it is always ready within 15 minutes for take out. We eat 99% of our meals from there as take out, and it is awesome for grab-n-go. Our family of four has one favorite: the teriyaki chicken. sweet, salty and always grilled to perfection. Every piece is the perfect sized bite.

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is occasionally the chicken can be really dry. But most of the time it is really good teriyaki. And on Sunday’s 2 chicken teriyaki entrees are only $ 12.99!

Over all pretty good… staff are friendly, quick, and the food is good enough warrant return business. Pros: Fast Good recipes Made to order Good price Con: No classic teriyaki salad. The cabbage thing is good but really miss the salad.

This is one of our favorite places to eat in East Wenatchee. The chicken breast and steak teriyaki dishes are great. We usually get the food for take-out, however they have recently updated the inside of their restaurant. They provide good customer service as well. Ask about the daily specials before you order!

Good food as always, but the will no longer give a cup for water. They’ll sell you a bottle of water got $ 1.00, but won’t let you have water. They say too many customers asked for water then stole pop from the fountain. Not going back.

This food is the BOMB! Original J’s have never disappointed me and i have been coming here for a few years now. In addition to that the kitchen crew and the cashiers are friendly and very accommodating. If you haven’t tried it, you are missing out.

so i’m stuck in Wenatchee, so i figure to check out somne local flavor, searched teriyaki and came across J’s Original. read reviews, decided ti give it a shot. not really a mistake but it really missed the mark, nothing special, the hot sauce was probably the best part of the meal. Egg rolls 3 for $ 5.99 a little over priced and very greasy, and yes I realize they are a fried food, but they tasted as if they were left in fryer a little too long. ordered the hot chicken with yakisoba noodles, there was an up charge for noodles $ 1.50WTH so I just paid $ 7.99 for hot chicken(didnt get the whole chicken) noodles did not taste like yakisoba noodles they were very thin and no flavor. service was quick for takeout, seemed like very few people eat in at j’s. i do not get to wenatchee but 2 times a year, will try another place before I would go back to J’s.

Went here during lunch, it was busy but they got my order in 10 minutes! I got their chicken, it was your typical teriyaki but so good! If you’re craving some good teriyaki in Wenatchee, I’d go here!

Good place — our favorite teriyaki in Wenatchee area. Friendly staff & decent sized portions.(Though we did comment that they seemed to put in less meat than in the past.) I usually get the chicken teriyaki or the chicken katsu. We’ve been going here for several years & have never had a bad meal.

If I ere rating this place only by their potstickers, it would have a solid 5⁄5! Unfortunately, I have to take off two stars for a few reasons: The service is hit and miss. Sometimes they get our order right, most times they don’t. Their fried rice… may as well just order white rice. The teriyaki is great but comes in too small amounts for what you pay. The service is also mildly unfriendly, and the atmosphere is cheap and a little sad looking. Order to go, and you should be fine. Overall the food is pretty good, if moderately over priced.

This should be listed as one of the best cheap eats. My first vote is the China Buffet in Wenatchee. J’s has great twofer specials. If your hungry these reorder fill you up well.

The judgement is decided. As of today, I find that Original J’s Teriyaki deserves more credibility than at state.(Note to self: That came out kinda smooth. I’d make for a great judge!) My my, talk about great comfort food. Rain or shine, this place holds the key. First, Original J’s Teriyaki likes to keep things simple. As you walk in, you’ll notice the inexpensive table and chairs. Do not be intimidated by the façade of it all. Think, top-notch street food. In essence, it’s the same thing. Secondly, it doesn’t hurt to ask if you have questions about the menu. This place is known for their chicken, pork, and beef teriyaki combos. All served over steamed rice, a side of coleslaw, and a fountain drink. Actually, that sounds good right about now! Alas, as you can see, you’ll become unable to resist cravings. It all pretty much narrows down to fast, simple, and good. Enjoy!

Living in Wenatchee leaves you wanting for any ethnic food that isn’t Mexican. Teriyaki is one of my favorite foods and this place was a disapointment. There was only 1 other table of people and our service was very slow, and the food was low quality. The waitress stood within earshot and discussed a few sordid details of something with a coworker. Never went back.

I’m a fan of J’s Teriyaki, ever since they opened. back in the 90’s. LOL, gosh I feel old! My hubby and I frequent this establishment quite a bit, we must come here at least once a month. We even keep their bottles of regular Teriyaki and Hot Teriyaki sauce in the fridge at home. My favorite must be the Super Combo, which has pork, chicken, and beef. My previous favorite was the steak until they discontinued it a few years ago. sigh… How I miss those days!
