Super friendly folks. Great Sopes! But one of the persons at the table found a hair in her quesadilla. No bueno Señor Juve! No Bueno.

When in EPA, my go-to taco spot. Carne Asada with everything, add Avocado or El Pastor Tacos are my favorite… the tortillas are thee best. Flautas are also really good.

Tried this place today for the first time since it’s only a 5 minute drive from my office. Got 3 Carne Asada tacos to go, no onions. My food was delivered efficiently and the service was pleasant. The tacos were ok. The salsa was on the spicy side, which was also ok, but they were pretty salty — and I like salt. If they hadn’t been so salty, I would have given them 4 stars. Would try again, tho.

This place is a peculiarity of sorts. In my head I call it «Tres Hermanos,» perhaps a reflex to associate this place with the authentic awesome Mexican food that they serve here. It’s that good, it will blow your mind, at least apparently the language center part of your brain. I had a friend come from out of town in Colorado. Being a native Californian, he yearned for that genuine Mexican food which one can only find in the Southern states bordering Mexico at non-fast food restaurants. I took him and his gee-eff here, and they were not disappointed. Each of us got tacos, three tacos with three kinds of meat, and rice and beans. They called the order number in espanol. «OCHENTA Y DOS?» Finally, those three years of high school Spanish fulfilled their purpose. «Yes, och-ochant…eighty two. Thank you… Gracias.» Nailed it. We went back and demolished those tacos — played a little guitar, a bit more slowly than usual, but with a glowing sense of satisfaction.

Food is decent, but you can get the same thing anywhere else for half the price. 2 stars for entire experience. Earned stars for the food, only. This place has the same interior, food, and service as any authentic Mexican restaurant in South Bay. But charges you significantly higher. Not worth it. There’s absolutely nothing outstanding about this place aside from the price. A plate of enchiladas for 13.95 — makes no sense.

BESTTACOS!!! The wife and I come here so often it not even funny. The asada and Carnitas are so good here. So flavorful! They would be perfect with handmade tortillas but im just dreaming over here. The tacos are to die for dont let the whole in the wall look scare you away.

Yes, it may not be very clean and yes, they may have homeless people come in with booze now and then but oh is the food delicious and amazingly priced. My wife craved this place when she was pregnant at least once a week. I crave it even more. Amazing authentic Mexican food. Clean up the atmosphere a little and you’ll easily deserve that 5th star!

I ordered three tacos and 45 minutes later I walked out with no food and no refund. The kitchen was very poorly run and it impacted everyone’s order. I drove to another restaurant to eat.

It already wasn’t very clean inside however the reviews were good so I thought maybe it was a hidden gem. But once I found a hair in my tamales and a homeless guy rolled in with his beer I was done. Oh and the tamales were dry.

This place is great. The food was reasonably priced and well prepared. I had the three taco combo, beef, grilled pork, and fish with beans and rice, a ton of food for under ten dollars. They ask if you want onions with your tacos upon ordering. I said yes. They were finally chopped and not overwhelming. The cashier was great and helped recommend a good apple soda to go with my food. They bring your food to you on glass plates. The utensils are plastic.

They were ok. The super burrito was tasty but I have had better and the shrimp tostada was disgusting. So watery I had to pour it onto another plate and it made the hard shell soggy and gross. I won’t be back. Very disappointing.

Horrible… I asked for a tostada d camarones and since when do they put ketchup in it. It was nasty and I wanted my money back or get it exchanged or somethig and they couldn’t do it. Disappointed never again. Grullense is wayyyy better in rwc.

This location on Bayshore is a bit harder to find than their other branch on University in the heart of East Palo Alto. I’d argue it’s more hidden and while people like to say it’s across from Ikea, it’s literally on the other side of 101 from that whole Embarcadero complex. I looped around a few times but found a large parking lot adjacent to a 7 – 11. I’d argue it’s more 7 – 11 that’s sketchy(why are they always sketchy) than Three Brothers. Inside, you find a fairly clean and organized space with an easy to read menu and, depending on your arrival, a long line to queue. The burritos and tacos are especially popular but they also offer pricier options including soups(why are the soups always so much more expensive than their other fare) and full plates. My order: Horchata — $ 2.50. Standard. Tacos — $ 1.50 each. chose lengua(tongue) and cabeza(head). Served open style on two fried tortillas and topped some light salsa. Meats were flavorful but I like the soft tortillas of Los Gemelos more. Menudo — $ 9.95. The other soups including caldo de res(beef bone) and seafood were pricier. I’m not even sure I love tripe(maybe like it?) but I’m always tempted to order it whenever it’s on the menu, just to be adventurous. It takes a longer time to make and about five or so orders after me got their orders before my soup was ready. It’s a large bowl and served with a platter of hot flour tortillas. Plentiful tripe, piping hot broth and a large beef bone in the middle with gelatinous tendon and beefy parts. Add the raw onions and peppers and it’s quite a meal. I love tendon but after about 10 or so pieces of the very well cooked and tender tripe I was done. Probably didn’t need the tacos as I was full! Overall, think this place might be better than the University location and a bit closer on the better side of 101 though still East PA. The easiest way to get here is to go to the Fresh Market and keep driving. I believe they accept credit cards(saw a swiped but may have been AtM) but most pay cash.

sketchy area, more so than the other location. chimichanga al pastor, fried crispy and folded into a square so more crispy tortilla, and carne asada taco salad – ginormous.

MEXICANSOPAS Soup Heaven! Tony knows of this«hole in the wall» restaurant(please don’t take offense Tres Hermanos), as some of the most authentic restaurants are just that, opposite of pretentious in every form possible, and he wanted to share his great discovery with me. This restaurant sits along a frontage road in East Palo Alto, just opposite IKEA and parallels the 101 freeway. As in their name, I could have ordered some delicious looking tacos, but was craving their fried Chimichanga which is shaped in a unique square. One may choose either chicken pieces or shredded chicken; I chose the latter. I loved how I could pick up my four sided crispy quadrate and manage to take a big bite of it without the integrity of my Chimi falling prey to a soggy form. It remained perfectly intact until the final delightful bite! The chicken was tasty and topped with guacamole and sour cream. On the side, were lettuce, tomatoes, radishes, Spanish rice and beans. Everything about this dish resonated authenticity. Their refried beans was one of the best I’ve ever tasted; it was smooth and flavorful. I also enjoyed eating this dish with a side of salsa, which tasted fresh and homemade. Now…my husband’s soup was out of this world! I can’t say that I’ve had a lot of Mexican soup before, but I really don’t think one would have to in order to say that his Caldo de Res was purely soup Heaven! It was made with cabbage, carrots, potatoes, corn and a generous portion of beef. It was so savory good! With our subsequent visits in the very near future, I will definitely try their other offerings: tacos, burritos, enchiladas, Chili Verde, quesadillas, tortas, fajitas, fish, nachos, and a number of other soups.

OMG this place is terrible. The counter was covered in dirt and dust and I didn’t want to put my purse down to get my money out. The menu board was just printed sheets of paper that were so faded I could barely read what items they had. I opted for the beef enchaladas and they were terrible. The beef was the consistency of beef jerky-it was tough, dry and flavorless. The rice was just okay, but the beans, omg, they smelled so bad. There was a harsh chemically smell coming from the beans and I found a hair in them. And the prices are not what people are saying in their reviews. I didn’t see any of these dollar tacos people are referring to. My plate of dog food cost me $ 15. This place is disgusting, I don’t understand how anyone could give this place anything higher than a 2 star rating. Terrible, disgusting and such a waste of my money.

Came here before a trip to Ikea. They have very cheap tacos! I opted for the 3 tacos plus rice and beans for around $ 7 — great deal! I ordered one carne asada taco, one carnitas taco and one tripe taco. What I got was one carne asado taco, one carnitas taco, and one shrimp taco. I can’t really be too mad that they screwed up my order. There was a bit of a language barrier and although I really wanted to try the tripe taco, the shrimp taco ended up being the best tasting of all three. The rice and beans were on point. And although I’ve had better tacos, this place has a lot of promise. They have a variety of popular mexican foods and I wouldn’t mind coming back here to give this place another shot if I’m in the area. It’s cheap, it’s tasty, and it’s mexican. Oh, and they specialize in tacos!
