As a disabled veteran, I travel past this store at least 6 – 8 times a month on my way to my treatment and rehabilitation after my recent spinal surgeries. I have stopped here many times over the past 10 years, but a recent stop for a soda totally changed my mind as to where VETERANS should spend their money. ITCERTAINLYWON’T BEATTHEPALSTOREANYMORE. WHENTHESODAHAS A PRINTEDONTHEBOTTLEPRICE, «‘SUGGESTEDRETAILPRICEOF .99CENTSAND I WASCHARGEDALMOST1DOLLARAND75CENTSTHAT’S RETICULES. When I asked the manager why so much of an increase, I was told that he can’t make enough money at that price. I’m SORRY!!! If I saw the MSRP on a car listed at $ 20,000. The dealership would have it listed much less than the MSRPNOTHIGHER. GETWITHTHEPROGRAMORLOSEYOURBUSINESS. INCREASING Posted prices is illegal! I give it 1 star because its a full mini market. Just needs better prices, considering it’s location, I feel that all PAL market is doing is taking advantage of the low income folks because it’s the only market within walking distance. Trust me when I told him that as long as he CHOOSESTOMARKUPPOSTEDPRICES, I WILLCHOOSENOTTOSPENTMYMONEYTHERE. I WILLALSOMAKESURETHAT I PASSTHISONTOALLTHEOTHERVETERANSTHATMAYSTOPTHERE.

Down the street from facebook, what can you say, the only decent store that’s in and out from University. Too bad the parking sucks but why not. Its Palo Alto’s east side.

This place is conveniently located if I need to pick up some soda etc since it is on my commute. Could be intimidating if you are going here for the first time given the location in East Palo Alto. I like the little stall they have outside serving pupusas.

They woulda been a 5. But my girl with the braces dont work there no more. she was FINE! The other ones are.uh.so-so. Other than that. I can’t stand the wankies who hang outside the joint mean mugging the small ppl but act like straight p0000sy cats when a bigger dude(like moi) walks past. Most of them are some young knuckleheads with nothing to do. Never mind them. The big Samoan dude working security already has ‘em in place. Prices are kinda ridicolous for som stuff compared to bigger stores. BUt the check cashing is great, and really low. So don’t be afraid friends! EPA is safe now! (hahaa.just kidding!)

hehe… (*nervous laugh) um, i do this to myself sometimes, i don’t know why… it’s not the most self preserving of acts but i can’t help it all the same. i stopped by this quaint, east palo alto liquor store after eating at the taqueria next door. i had a major hankering for a huge bottle of dasani and a 40 of high life before the bjork concert at shoreline. i COULD have gone to the gas station down the road but that would have been dumb considering i was right there. what can i say? it is a liquor store in EPA. it wasn’t like i was being a tourist so i side with the mean lookin dudes out front. it is what it is.
