I went to this McDonald’s and the manager or assistant manager scolded me for asking for 5 ketchups. He said something about how much money it cost. That’s a big no-no in customer service what he did to me. It makes me drive out of the way to the other McDonalds in EPA. The employees seem to be really nice and put up with his crap. I hope they get better management.

I haven’t seen any of the horror stories of service here. Anytime I wanted a quick meal, I just walk in, order my food to-go, and get out. Register people have always been nice to me. Also no horror stories about homeless people here. But maybe I’m just really lucky. This shopping center isn’t too sketch compared to the rest of north EPA.

This is the nastiest Mc Donald’s I have ever been in. To start, the homeless lady literally sitting at the front door should have turned me away but I was hungry and had to go to the bathroom. That was where things turned further south. The bathroom was disgusting, soiled tissue and paper towels all over the place. Ugh. If I wouldn’t have had to go so bad I would have just left. Then the lady behind the counter… Let’s just just say that it does not appear that anyone working at this location has has any training in customer service. Note to self… Next time thru E. Palo Alto just hold it.

I love the breakfast only at McDonalds. Love their coffee. This review is on the service, which sucks. Maybe its a language barrier maybe they just Dont listen and understand but its frustrating that every time I go there they mess up and give me what I did not order! All in all they need some diversity up in there, it’s refreshing to see people of all types.

Alright, so, I do review quite a bit of fast food. Typically, when it annoys me. This McDonalds, annoyed me. I used to come here quite a bit. I work late, I commute a lot, sometimes I just want some hot food to get me home so I can go to sleep. Notice where I say I want hot food, one of the reasons I don’t patronize this McDonalds anymore. When you pull up, there’s a queue. That’s alright, it’s one of the only drive through places on University, just about everyone else probably has the same idea as me. I once downloaded a book halfway through my wait on their WiFi. However, when you get into line, you become part of a secondary queue as well. The homeless people. I’ve been through here several times, and there’s always a line of people begging at the car windows. It’s kind of creepy if you’re a lone person in a car, and there’s a bunch of people just milling around, coming up to cars, knocking on your window. I had one guy ask me to buy him some food. Sure, I can spare a buck to buy someone food. Nope, he gave me HISORDER. He wanted a large Filet of fish with a large Hi-C to drink. Now, I’m not made of money, and I already have a dependant to support, so I backed up, told him that I couldn’t afford that, and GTFOed. Last time I’ll visit that place, and drive 20 minutes in the opposite direction and go to the McD’s in Fremont instead. Secondary complaints are, apparently the staff is new each night, and it’s like they’re working in a reality show where people who have no idea how to work in a McDonalds are working in a McDonalds. The orders are wrong, the fries are always either cold and hard or cold and limp. The burgers are irrationally greasy, even for a Fast Food joint, and in the event that they are actually hot, so, once, I could have sworn that they’ve been sat on. Overall, I cannot justify giving this place more than a star. If I could give it less, then I would. There should be an option for ‘Hell no, I will never visit this place again’. Because this one has earned it.

WHATISGOINGONHERE?! Literally the worst McDonalds I’ve ever been to. It feels like every time I come here, the workers are still trying to figure out how things work. Just going through the drive-through means you’ve committed at least 20 minutes of your life to waiting for some fries. I’ve seen people on Chopped make 4 plates of gourmet food faster than these guys can slap together a fish filet. IT’S LIKEONESLICEOFCHEESEANDSOMETARTARSAUCE.

This location in East Palo Alto is a little dicey but hey, when you need food, you need food. Went to the drive through and they forgot part of my order and also forgot to give me a straw. Really folks?

I never liked fast food and would never get any deal on Living Social again. Sent this letter to the Corporate. Will update if they ever respond. December 11th, 2011 17:25 pm Store #: 25758 Our family visit McDonald’s almost every week, wherever we are for a quick bite to eat. But never have I experienced this at any location. As with any family, we like deals and bought several Living Social deals. Five Big Macs and Five large French Fries for $ 13. Using a coupon does not mean that we should be treated as criminals. We paid for the deal and we are using the coupons legitimately and by the rules stated on the back of the coupon. We used 2 coupons, one for a Big Mac and one for a Large Fries. They said that we could only use one coupon per visit. But it states clearly that we could use one Big Mac and one Large Fries during any 2-hour visit. Speaking Spanish while a customer is making a purchase, clearly talking about the customer. So unheard of. It was absurd. Treated us like criminals. We only got the name of one manager, Kathiya. The other one was just saying«no, we only take one coupon.» and clearly made it uncomfortable for our entire visit. She had thick eyeliner on and her name tag was not clear. Horrendous service. Terrible experience. Please educate your staff if you are running a promotion. Updating with a response: Hello Mrs. Tran: Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at the McDonald’s located at 1721 E. Bayshore Rd. As the area supervisor of this restaurant, I hope you will accept my apology for your unsatisfactory visit. I appreciated the opportunity to personally discuss your concerns with you on the phone and wanted to follow-up with this letter. Our goal is 100-percent customer satisfaction and that means friendly service with every visit without exception. McDonald’s restaurant employees receive specific training in customer service. I’m sorry you feel we have let you down. Please be assured, I am following up at my restaurant to address this issue. Your e-mail serves as a valuable reminder that our customers are our number-one priority. We truly appreciate your feedback and again, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future. Latasha Pettis McDonald’s Area Supervisor Ravenswood 101 (650) 328‑2184

If you want to meet someone who really hates her job, you gotta come check out this Mcdonald’s. The woman who rang me up could not pay attention or probably could care less about our order and kept messing up. And then it took her forever to get our food because she was so out of it. She had to keep asking her coworker how to do things, and even her coworker was getting really annoyed. I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 because she let me choose which Sanrio watch I wanted… while I waited for 10 minutes to get my Happy Meal.

I normally wouldn’t bother to give McDonald’s a review, everyone knows what it is. Like most Americans I’ve eaten at McDonald’s my entire life and know what is should be like. I just wanted to point out how bad this location is. I’ve stopped by this McDonald’s many times as it is close to where I live. The drive-thru line is consistently long often taking 10 – 15 minutes to get through. What I really like to know is with that much traffic how do they manage to make the fries taste like they have sat under a heat lamp all day? The burgers don’t even taste like McAnything I’ve had anywhere else. I do generally like McDonald’s, why did they have to put the worst location ever near my house?

Unilocaling about mc donalds feels a bit strange. I can’t imagine anyone who hasn’t been to a McDonalds before, which makes writing a review for it pointless. This McDonalds, across from ikea, is an exception and is very strange. It’s close to work, and I do have McD cravings from time to time, so i come here when i do. I prefer going in because i’m convinced it’s faster than drive thru and it’s less likely they’ll mess up on your order. As I eat my meal, I study the nutritional information almost everytime in disbelief thinking, this must exceed my daily intake of fat, sodium, and protein. It says it’s only 1/3−½ of daily intake. I assume it must be the lack of fiber that makes people fat. As I walk out, there’s a female employee sitting on the table next to the exit saying«thank you have a good day» to every customer. Initially, I thought she was on her break and just being friendly. BUT she was there every single time. I began to realized that this was her job.

What is it with me and fast food lately? Against my wishes, I’m becoming a connoisseur. Came in today to get breakfast before a full day of studying. We got two sandwiches and an order of hash browns. Simple order, should be fast. However, in the time it took to order, my stress level increased signficantly. There was a confrontation to our left, which involved two people behind the counter and a man-woman patron team, arguing about what they ordered and what they actually got. In addition the dude helping us was having trouble getting our order right and kept asking questions, which I suppose was a good thing — better than making an ass out of himself and us. Extra star because I have found a new love: bacon, egg, and cheese McGriddles. Mmm, yummy salty-sweet goodness. Although at 21g of fat a pop, we’re going to have to keep our rendezvous at a minimum and on the down-low.

Not a frequent McDonald’s consumer by any means but I have stopped by this restaurant on a few occasions to utilize their drive-through when working late. Of the 4 or 5 times I have used the drive-through, they have screwed up my order at least half of the time. Honestly, how hard is it to order a drink and something off the $ 1 menu. Worst thing though is the service time using the drive through at night. I have waited up to 10 minutes when there were only 3 – 4 cars in front of me. If you want some fast food late at night, I would recommend going a little further down the 101 to the In-N-Out Burger.

This McDonald’s in close to my work so I go here regularly. Everytime I walk in I get stared at because I am usually the most Anglo looking person in the place. No worries though. I’ve never had a problem with the service(unlike poor Mimi) but I have realized that the service does tend to be slow here due to errors.
