Papa John’s Pizza

So first let’s start with the fact that I love Papa John’s pizza. I recently moved to Newark but used to order it from my old Papa John’s all the time. Expecting the same level of service, I decided to order Papa John’s here.
So first off, the pizza took one hour and thirty minutes to arrive. 90 minutes for a pizza delivery. Obviously after an hour, I called to make sure they had the address correct. She informed me that the driver was leaving now. I received no apology, leading me to believe that this is probably a normal occurrence for them and doesn’t warrant an apology.
Then, she proceeded to tell me that there is an additional delivery fee on top of everything that I had paid for. This fee did not show up on my online receipt, leading me to believe that they are scamming their customers and taking extra cash and pocketing it.
The pizza was average.
Long time customer of Papa Johns. But will never be buying from this branch again and I would recommend all of you go to any pizza place but this one. Happy eating!
