The manager tried calling me to redeem himself but I was busy. Never called back. He said sorry you caught us on a bad night. It was game 7 of the NBA finals! The waitress disappeared. Service sucks! I’m done. I’m nerve coming back!

I met a few friends here for dinner on the recommendation of Unilocal reviews and happened to notice a friend had posted a review also. I instantly text her and she told me I would love it. Well not only did I sit there for 4 or 5 hours talking and eating, we were never rushed. The food was great and the staff was awesome. I am definitely coming back. It may be a noisy atmosphere but not so loud that we couldn’t hear each other. A good time was had by all !!!

Went to the Green Turtle for the first time yesterday. We had a very pleasant experience. Ordered the crab dip with pretzels and like the other reviewers, I have to agree the salt on the pretzels is a bit much for the dip. We followed the dip with a burger, fish and chips and the skinny chicken sandwich. All food was good and enjoyed by our party of 3. Will definitely try it again just hesitant to try it in the evening due to the reviews that say it is so loud. Definitely 30 plus tvs in this establishment. Give this place a try — you just might like it!

Wow I’ve been driving past this place for a while now because I had no idea what Is was. Well I’m glad I walked in ! The staff here is amazing ! Everyone constantly kept asking if everything was okay and the service was super fast. Our waitress Christin was amazing ! She was always on top of everything and very nice. The food and the drinks were also fantastic ! And the personal tv’s are a plus too ! I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely come back !

I came here with my daughter, my girlfriend and her brother. i was gracefully greeted the atmosphere was awesome, the food and drink delicious but the only reason i couldn’t give this place 5 stars was because the waitress(Marissa) forgot to put in my daughter’s food so my 5 yr old watched us all get served except for her, broke her little heart, she’s 5 and she thought she did something wrong. Sorry Green turtle, couldn’t give you guys the 5 stars.

Been the the Greene Turtle multiple times now and it is better than I expected. I have been there to watch multiple NBA playoff games and enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant. I especially enjoy sitting in the booths because they have their own TVs you can control yourself. The alcohol is very expensive but the food is better than you would expect, especially the crab dip and buffalo dip. I usually don’t order appetizers but the Unilocal deal they give for a free appetizer has allowed me to try a different item every time I visit. As far as actual service, that is the only reason I didn’t give this rating a full 5 stars. The staff appears pretty«out to lunch» mentally, most of the time. During one of my visits, the waitress was outright rude to us and it made me consider not coming back. However, I likely will be coming back for the televisions and the free appetizer, not the service.

I’ve been to the Greene Turtle twice now. Both times to watch a UFC event. This place has good vibes & good food. It’s typical american/bar food but they have an extensive menu and the food has FLAVOR. Anything with the crab dip is bomb and the ribs are really good. The wing flavors are very tasty and they usually come out hot. Most recently i had the PB& J Bacon Burger which was surprisingly good. I wouldn’t get it again(it was more of a craving/impulse buy) but i’d still recommend it. If you’re around the area and want a fun bar to chill with friends and/or watch an event this is definitely a go to spot in the area.

Been here a few times with my friends for drinks, to watch the games and that sort of thing Large selection of beers, crafts, imports, domestic, some unique ones too. The food is usually pretty decent too, big fan of the Mozzarella sticks, wings, buffalo chicken sandwich. Service is usually okay, but slow most of the time. I don’t know if they’re just always super busy, or if the servers have too many tables, but I tend to only see them when they bring the drinks and food over, not too much more interaction than that. On par with most of the other local sports bars, basically the same thing as Millers, definitely better than an Applebee’s type place though. Wish there were better deals on beers

Went here for my friends Pat’s birthday last week and it was a great time. Great service and the food was really good. I love when people on here complain about the food yet say nothing when they are actually there. My friend didn’t enjoy something and it was sent back and fixed no problem. I didn’t wait to whine about it on Unilocal so i could get free stuff. We had the meatball pizza, the edamame, the boneless wings in Chipolte sauce and mini sliders. Was it Peter Luger style eats? Hell no but it was tasty, place was spotless and the booths are big enough for all the obese folks on long island. The manager came by and said hi and we had a blast. Tv’s are a bonus i guess for folks who like sports or who have kids and thankfully i have none and hate sports. Mule’s are 5 $ on Mondays so def check it out.

Went here for the first time earlier this week, and just went back again last night. The service was great and the selection was fairly priced and presented really well. The wings are so delicious, I highly suggest trying them. The fries? Amazing. Very crisp, not burned edges or soggy. I ended up having the cowboy burger. Which is a burger marinated in Bbq sauce with frazzled onions on top. I’m usually not a fan of these burgers anywhere but oh my gosh. My new favorite burger! I had fish & chips last night. Beer battered in yuenglings’s. The slaw on the side was again, delicious ! Fries amazing and the fish was so crispy and amazing. Try to sit with Lorraine. She’s really a doll. We went there on a Sunday afternoon, the food took a real long time to get there the waitress wasn’t that friendly. We order sangria and it was real weak like no alcohol in it, same thing with the patron margaritas… Will not be going back anytime soon

So, this establishment has a few positives: so many flat screen televisions everywhere you can’t miss any game that may be on, managers who truly help the servers by serving food & greet guests warmly & appreciatively, servers who are very friendly & attentive, decently sized flat screen televisions at each booth for you to be able to watch whoever game you want & you can control the volume on your personal television, as well as a rewards card that you can sign up for & you get 100 points just for signing up & you can even use the card the same visit when you pay your bill. When you reach 200 points, you receive a free appetizer. Also, when you check in on Unilocal, you unlock an offer to receive an appetizer gratis. I noticed just now that even though I checked in & used that offer last night & it was marked as used by used the manager, the very next morning there is another offer for a free appetizer available, so it is nice they are promoting their business & giving guests something complimentary each time you check in. However, there were also many negatives about this establishment: when sitting at a booth, the table is not really wide enough, so you have soooo much space between you & the table, which for me at a whopping 5’0″ having to lean over for the duration of my visit, I was incredibly uncomfortable & my back actually hurts, as odd as that sounds. Also, in all honesty & not to be unfair but the food really is on par of Applebee’s, which is not a good thing. The food is very generic, overly salted & nothing we received out of many items were actually served hot. When I order food at a restaurant, I expect hot food. Another thing that I find alarming was just how loud it becomes in the restaurant. Not only do you have control over your own televisions to create noise at your booth, but they bump the sound of the game on at the time so loudly on the overheard speakers, it’s actually alarming. I know that sports bars & grilles are supposed to be loud but this was literally the loudest restaurant I have been in in a very long time; it’s virtually impossible to hear the person you’re dining with. Ok, so now let’s talk about the food, oy vey. So, everyone raves about the crab dip served with soft pretzel strips. The pretzels were actually good but the crab dip… it does have a good amount of crab & tastes like crab & the Old Bay seasoning is a nice touch, but the cream cheese mixed in with mozzarella is so overdone that it’s hard to eat. Don’t get me wrong, I love cream & I love cheese but it was just too much; this appetizer was hot. We then decided to order a bunch more of the appetizers to all share with our beers, so then we ordered fried pickle spears, the blackened chicken quesadilla, the sliders with straws, & the chicken tenders. The breading on the pickle spears & the dipping sauce were simply gross, no other way to put it. This appetizer was lukewarm at best. The blackened chicken quesadillas were not even warm & didn’t have any sort of heat when the chicken is supposed to be blackened. The sliders were cold, not just cool but cold. The onion straws they are served with were cold too & super salty. The mini potato buns they sliders are served on were not even toasted & ice cold. Booooo!!! The chicken tenders, although warm were seasoned with so much pepper they had the most spice out of anything & a chicken finger is a chicken finger, why is it making my nose run with spice… and I like spice! The dipping sauces are all super generic tasting & ive had better sauces from bottles better than these & I am sure they are from gallon jugs & not made fresh. In fact, nothing tasted like it was made on premises except maybe the crab dip but it just wasn’t to my liking. Since we were drinking, having munchie mania, & wanted to have a little something sweet & were taking the table up for a while watching the game, we shared the brownie sundae with peanut butter sauce & Reese’s pieces. Ironically, the dessert with ice cream was the hottest thing we ordered & it was decent. I really don’t even know what I would order of I decided to stop in again but since it is within walking distance from home, I may give it another shot in the future to watch a game but with no expectations of anything stellar. This is a place to go to to just get a beer, & if hungry enough, maybe I’ll try boneless wings or something.

I tried The Greene Turtle for the first time last night and had a pretty good time. They have a great menu selection(for both food and drinks) and the venue brought out a pretty large crowd. I felt the bartender started off giving good service but became super not-present towards the end of my stay. To pay my bill I literally had to shout«ISANYONEGOINGTOTAKEOURBILL?!» After being ignored by bartenders for at least 15 minutes. A young lady named Gabby helped me at the front door when I wanted to purchase a t-shirt. She was outgoing, fun, and all around wonderful! She gave me better service than my own bartender did at the bar. I told her this, and she told me she would love to get behind the bar. LETGABBYBEHINDTHEBAR! She’d make a wonderful and pleasant bartender! :).

So I decided to give the green turtle a try since I heard it was good restaurant that was kid friendly. I went with my family and 2 yr old son for dinner. The drinks were good but the sweetened iced tea was pretty sweet. There was free refills as well. We got the crab cake sandwich, bourbon burger and the spicy jack stack plus the kids chicken tenders. The sandwiches cane with kettle chips which were like a thicker potato chip. We upgraded to sweet potato and regular fries. The sweet potato were good. The crab cake was not bad. The spicy jack stack was not spicy at all. The bourbon was good. I was a little disappointed that my son did not get a little turtle or a straw. We were not even offered a kid cup for him either. Overall it was just ok and I don’t think I would go out of my way to go there.

The service at this establishment is definitely A1. It was my first visit and I was really really impressed. The efficiency of my service, friendliness personality was like a dream come true. She was very attentive and wrote nothing down! The time between ordering and when the food arrived was minimal. I didn’t feel a wait at all. As well as upon arrival, I was seated immediately and this was a weekend! Now for the real part, the food! Scrumptious! Everything was delectable, every taste bud brought to life! Delicious! From my photos, you will see what I ordered. The cleanliness of the restaurant is definitely up kept. The view allows you to see the beauty in Long Island. Family or hangout place for friends! I Generally an excellent place to dine. I believe their menu targets every consumer that comes in. Done her whenever you get the opportunity.

This place is OK. The parking space is very limited. The service is decent. Our waitress was a bit rude at the beginning, but was better towards the end. They have a rewards program. They give you a card and you accumulate points and specials during your birthday. Also, they have a wide variety of American type of food and drinks. It’s a cool restaurant to stop by. There are TOO many TVs so be aware of that.

Can’t say enough good things about The Greene Turtle! Everything was amazing! I ordered the Chick N Ranch sandwich which was so fresh and flavorful! My boyfriend got the Chesapeake Burger which is bacon cheese and their signature crab dip. He said it was the best burger he has ever had. Our waiter, AJ, made our night. He made the whole experience personal. He was so attentive to us, funny, friendly, and has an incredible memory. Our drinks were never empty. He is extremely knowledgable and works hard to make your experience excellent. If you can request a table with AJ, I highly recommend him! Drinks drinks drinks! I ordered the Pineapple Iced Tea with Absolute which was delicious! Their drink menu is insane! The manager was really nice. As we left he thanked us for coming and just made it seem more neighborhood friendly. Join the rewards program! I can’t wait to go back!

I’ve be wanting to come here since it opened and I wish I would have — everything about The Green Turtle makes for a fun and delicious dining experience. I highly recommend getting a booth as each booth has its very own TV and capability to change the channel and volume. The food was perfect. We ordered the buffalo chicken dip to start, boneless wings, and either buffalo chicken sandwiches or burgers. Everything was cooked perfectly. The waiters and waitresses were nice and very attentive. The Greene Turtle is a must go! I’m secretly hoping it doesn’t get too popular though, so the wait isn’t too long in the future…

The Greene Turtle has been bookmarked for me since it opened about a month or so ago. I know there’s one on Hempstead Turnpike but in Franklin Square. There used to be a Hooters where this location is currently and I’m glad TGT replaced it. We were greeted with smiles and they even gave the kids a little plush turtle, crazy straw for their drinks, as well as crayons. I thought that was a great touch. We started off with the crab dip appetizer. It was accompanied by warm soft pretzels for dipping. This was overloaded with sodium. I had to use my knife to scrape the salt off of the pretzels. If you can get past all the salt, it has potential to be a really good app. I decided to go with the Buffalo chicken sandwich for my entrée. It was really good but lacking Bleu cheese. My server brought me over some in a little cup after I expressed my concern. The chicken was very fresh and it was perfectly crisp. The bread was super fresh and I devoured the sandwich. My friend went with the crab soup and fish tacos. The soup she enjoyed but noted she’d had better. The tacos were a disaster for her. She had to send them back twice because she felt they weren’t cooked properly. They apologized and removed it from the bill and she decided to get the same sandwich I ordered but to-go. This place is great if you have small children. What I love is that the place is crawling with televisions. Tvs on pretty much every booth. We had our on remote on the wall and our daughters got to watch nickelodeon as we talked and ate. They got the small cheese pizza with Apple slices which they enjoyed. I want to note that the booth tables don’t seem to be large enough. The gaps between the booth and the tables are very large. My daughter ended up falling through the gap and hitting her head. The manager came over quickly and even brought me a bag of ice for her head. Since she was crying he offered her ice cream on the house which turned her frown upside down. All in all this is a solid restaurant. Even though it wasn’t 100 great I can chalk that up to them still being on their grand opening. This place has a lot of potential. The managers and staff are very friendly and accommodating. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back– whether it be with the kids or to watch some sports games.

Came here the first Saturday night they were open. I have never been to a Greene Turtle before so I was very excited! We were greeted warmly at the door by the energetic staff and seated promptly. Our waitress Jenna was very sweet and attentive. We enjoyed chatting with her all night. My friend and I started with a few drinks; I got a peach whisky iced tea and love it! They gave me the whisky shot to pour in it, which was good because I barely tasted it when I mixed it in. So delicious! We also got fried pickles, buffalo chicken nachos, warm pretzels, and wings; all were so yummy! We ended with the huge shell M.I.A. Mimosa bowl to share. I can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu! Great job so far guys!
