One of the best Italian restaurants you’ll experience. Haven’t had a bad meal there. The stuffed veal chop is unreal. And the desserts are amazing too. Always friendly service. Very clean and nice décor. Always a nice crowd and never a long wait.

A warm welcome. This place is really nice. I celebrated my birthday last month and my guests consisted of about 14 adults and a toddler. They were so accommodating. The service was impeccable. The food came it in a timely manner despite the fact that there was another big gathering as well along with other diners. The food was very good. Spumante is definitely a little gem.

Nothing really negative to say… just wasn’t better than average. Wife and I had Lentil soup, shrimp parm and eggplant parm. Basic food. Taste of all was okay. Nothing stood out to make me want to return. Decent ingredients, nice presentation, good service, nice ambience and okay food.

The Place is simply excellent. All the pastas are fresh and the desserts are to die for. Run don’t walk to have a great dinner here. All pasta and desserts are made on the premises. The bolognese sauce is great and you have to try the peanut butter mousse cake and the carrot cake.

This restaurant definitely deserves to have a lot more people dining on it’s excellent food with very good service. I guess that the location directly on Hempstead Turnpike, in front of a motel is off putting to many. We began our meal with a terrific bowl of minestrone soup. The broth was rich and not overly salty. The soup was loaded with many different fresh vegetables. It was terrific. Next, I had the spaghetti per la vitta– whole grain pasta with spinach, shrimp, white beans, diced tomatoes, garlic and oil. What a marvelous blend of flavors and what a generous portion. Of course, I had a doggie bag. My husband ordered the capellini di mare– angel hair pasta with clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops in a red sauce. He said that it was terrific and a more than ample amount of food. Our waiter Peter was very helpful, caring and concerned. He kept checking back to find out if we were happy with our food and if there was anything he could get us. Both desserts we ordered were SUPER; rich and creamy. One was a blueberry crime brûlée and the other a chocolate, peanut butter mousse cake — just sublime !!! FANTASTIC !! A lot more people should be enjoying the food at this very good dining establishment !!!

This place is the real deal. I had a pasta dish made with broccoli rabe and sausage with garlic and oil. The type of pasta was orecchette. That was a first for me. It was cooked perfectly al dente. The combination of flavors complimented each other. The service couldn’t have been better. You don’t want to miss this place.

I’ve been to Spumante many times over the years with my family & must admit that I enjoy it each & every time. I’m shocked it’s not busier to be honest because each time we go no matter which night of the week, there are only a handful of tables. I suppose the location in front of the Coliseum Motor Inn on Hempstead Turnpike may be a turn off to some people but I will be the first to say that everything I have ever had tried here is really good. They recently had these Chicken Marsala Egg Rolls that are awesome; they are so flavorful with real Marsala Wine, melted cheese, chopped mushrooms, & onions. The Fried Calamari is always really good & served with two sauce options: regular & spicy marinara. The bread they serve the table is also on point & they serve not only Italian bread but also these breadsticks with a dusting of garlic & a tomato tapenade on the side that is super tasty & delicious with a touch of butter & then a spread of the tapenade on top. So good. The Veal Parmesan is good quality & very tasty. I also recently had a special they offered & it was chicken with broccoli rabe, roasted pepper, & fresh mozzarella cheese in a light white wine, olive oil & garlic sauce with a side of vegetables & potatoes & it was superb. My grandfather has tried the Linguini with White Clams & loved it. Also, my uncle often gets the Veal Sorrentino & always raves about. The owners truly care about their guests’ experience & feedback & I am truly impressed with this restaurant. I hope more people find it to be the gem in East Meadow that I do!!!

I’ve been here several times, about 10 or so years ago a friend worked here. Anyway the food was always great. I live in Long Beach so it’s not exactly in my neighborhood, I guess which is why I don’t frequent it. I came last spring or winter with my brother who is a vegetarian and he loved it. Tonight I decided to stop on my way home from a business trip. I can’t believe this place is not crowded all the time. The food is always top notch I sat at the bar and the waitress was doubling as bartender and was very attentive and friendly. I had a whole grain spaghetti with fresh chopped tomatoes, spinach, shrimp and white beans in a garlic and oil. Ate all of it. Reasonably priced and made to order. I would hate to see them go out of business so go eat here!

Spumonte is one of Long Island’s best kept secrets. We have been going for years and have never been disappointed. It’s a perfect weekend dining spot — comfortable surroundings, quiet, white tablecloths and napkins and delicious home-made treats! The menu ranges from«what you’d expect» to «extraordinary!» I can’t figure out why they are not packed 7 nights a week! You can find their menu online and if you sign up for email, will get a weekly«specials» menu plus coupon! Sharing a parking lot with the Coliseum Motel might be a turn off to some — although one has nothing to do with the other and Spumonte has a separate entrance. It’s really good!

Was invited to a baby shower that was hosted here in their big private venue upstairs. The party comfortably sat 100 people and there was a dance floor. There was a bar that served up drinks and the servers were nice and attentive. There was a huge spot for the dj too. They served us buffet style and the italian food from the restaurant was good.

Hesitant to go based on exterior, thankful I went! From the service to the bread the basics were well above average. As far as the food goes the quality was fantastic and full flavored. Id come back here anytime.

We got delivery for the first time from here. It is the BESTITALIAN food you can get in East Meadow. This place serves homemade recipes that you can not get anywhere else. All quality ingredients used and big portions. We usally order from Mama Theresas but they take 1 hour to deliver and food is nothing special. I am 100% Italian and I know good food. Go here if you want the BESTITALIANFOODTRUSTME!!! Also they do not use a lot of salt. After eating at other restaraunts you cant stop drinking water and feel like shit the next day because of all the salt places use. At Spumantes you do not get salt filled meals, just the flavors of quailty Italian ingredients.

No frills Italian food done right. Don’t let the fact that this place is connected to a small motel off the turnpike fool you; they are cooking some serious food inside. The veal meatballs and homemade garlic bread were divine. Everyone at our table left happy.

On a recommendation by a co-worker who dines here often and has many parties in the upstairs banquet room, my fiancé and I decided to come here on a Sunday evening for dinner. The attachment to the motel/inn unfortunately is a negative as the motel is pretty old and run down looking. If you can separate the fact that this is a restaurant with good food, you will enjoy your meal. Please take this into consideration before knocking it. There were not too many diners inside but we were greeted by the owner(I am assuming). He was very friendly with an Italian accent. We started out with a daily special of broccoli rabe, white beans and shrimp. Delicious! I ordered the Capellini Gambieri(pasta with shrimp, mushrooms in a pink cream sauce) I added melted cheese! My fiancé ordered Girelle(home made pasta rolled with spinach, ham and cheese with pomodoro sauce) Everything we ordered was delicious. We were so stuffed at the end of the evening but still ordered cappuccinos and dessert(I could not pass up the owners wife’s home made carrot cake) We will definitely come back and try some other things.

Went here for the first time. It is not very appealing from the street as it is in a dirty hotel called the Coliseum in. That is a turn off. When you walk into the place the outside mats are filthy and there are cigarette butts all over. The décor is very outdated and the rugs are dirty and old. Our waitress was very nice. Not sure if the man there was the owner or manager but he was not very friendly. We went on a Saturday night at 6 pm and the place was empty. People started coming in but not alot. The food was not bad. It was fresh and put together well. The appetizer called Napoleon was actually very tasty. My husband had the lasagna and I had the chicken eggplant dish which were both good. It was just OK for us. I think the location, the cleanliness and outdated décor hurt this place.
