Velvet has the best ice cream ever! Cookie Monster is my fave — blue moon ice cream w/​cookie dough and oreos in it! I’ve never seen this combo anywhere else but it’s awesome. Their waffle cones are some of the best I’ve had too. They’re never stale and are actually pretty flavorful. Highly recommend Velvet!

Here now trying to get fudge. Another customer is outside too. Hours on door say they open at 11. It’s 11:15. No one inside, no sign, no one answering the phone, no explanation on voicemail. Fudge fail.

The most delicious ice cream I have had in a while. It has chunks of fudge inside of it. Everything is so fresh and the ice cream and everything here is made fresh daily. You literally watch them make it.
Highly recommended place if you in the food for a sweet fix.

O M G. Best ice cream in East Lansing! I was enticed to come in because of the smell wafting outside, and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere is great, and the service was extremely friendly. My single size waffle cone was $ 3.95, and it was enormous. All the ice cream is homemade in store, and it is delicious. Sorry MSU Dairy Store, this place has ya beat. They also sell chocolates and homemade fudge, of which I was offered a generous sample.
This place is great! I highly recommend it and I’m happy that it’s conveniently located.

This place is easy to find. All you have to do is let the sweet scent of fudge, candy, and ice cream lure your body into the shop! Other then the delicious smell that fills the store, the interior design of this place was very thoughtfully put together. Definitely a great atmosphere to go on a cute date! And well. For their ice cream, it wasn’t anything spectacular, but still delicious and reasonably priced.

Everyone needs to check this place out. Not joking this place is heavenly. I got the salted caramel nut ice cream and it was to DIE for. They let you try any flavor you want just to make sure you get exactly what you want. Everything in this shop is handmade from chocolate truffles, taffy, caramel apples, to gummy candy. This is a place for anyone with a sweet tooth. Now if you are lactose intolerant they do have sorbet. When I say everything is homemade I mean that the cake batter ice cream has homemade cake pieces loaded in it or the banana cream pie actually has real bananas. None of the artificial flavoring of foods. You need to try this place!

I went to Velvet on a date. He was a little leary of trying something new, but we were both glad we did. Whenever possible, I try to avoid dairy (I know… why go to an ice cream shop if I want to avoid dairy…) They had MULTIPLE flavors of homemade sorbet (dairy free!) to choose from. I ultimately got a waffle cone (homemade, in the store) filled with fresh peach AND piña colada flavored sorbets. He got the Mackinac Island Fudge Ice cream and said it was to die for.
I can’t wait to go back.

Best ice cream, fudge, and candy/​chocolate place in the Lansing area! Reminded me of Kilwins a little bit. Everything is homemade and the workers there are soooo kind and gave me HUGE scoops! I got two cones both with two large scoops for $ 7!!! Amazing quality, taste, price, décor, location. Awesome to have this in EL!

So glad this place opened! The area needed a unique dessert spot and this is it. The store offers a wide variety of ice cream as well as fudge. All homemade. They also have truffles and candy corn. The staff is very friendly as well. The toasted coconut ice cream was fabulous! Will definitely return.

I’ve been waiting for a candy/​fudge/​ice cream specialty shop to come to my home town!!! Location is right next to campus with all the other great food places so getting here and finding it is no problem!
You can get samples of fudge and ice cream which it awesome because everything looks so delicious you’ll have trouble making a decision!
Fudge is the real deal — they relocated from mackinaw island so this is genuine mackinaw island fudge!
Also… HOMEMADE WAFFLE CONES. Yum!
Couple who own is are super friendly– you can tell they are passionate about their shop!
Love this place! This is my new «place to be» when going to campus!!!
