Really enjoy this place. Comp chips and salsa are the best. Nachos Cowabunga are perfect late night snack for a group of friends. Nice salads for lunch as well. Ask for the Hornitos Margarita… nuff said.

DISGUSTING food!!! I don’t think I have tried worst Mexican food in my life. We sat at the bar and they gave us the actual menu, it took such a long time for the girl to come back to get our order. After we flagged someone down to take our order they said sorry we are serving late night menu. We ordered the taquitos and minutes later they came back and said they didn’t have it and suggested the chimis?! so we got that and burritos. The food taste so bad I had a bad after taste in my month. My stomach started hurting just horrible. No flavor in the rice and it was hard. The beans are just gross. I understand it’s not authentic but please can you put atleast alittle bit of love in your food. The only good thing was the original margarita. It’s not even like the service at the bar was that great to make up for the food. It took such a long time for them to swipe our card. Might go back idk

I can’t even give one star. First with with my children, the table was coated with leftover food. The server did try to wipe it down with a spray and cloth. Still filthy!!! Went back«National Margarita day» tried to have one for the first time in my life. The drink was good but after two drinks, I went home for dinner. I returned and after my third drink they would not serve me anymore, after a five hour period. This is a place i would not recommend to eat or drink. Don’t get fooled by the kids eat free on Saturday promotion, as i payed full price for all. As well, the margarita monday promo is a scam just to get people in the building. there were no giveaways or promos going on…

We came here because we were going to a hockey game. We arrived at 1230 and find they served until 2. When we asked where our food was the waitress said it would be right out. Which it was but it took an hour and a half. The food was wrong I asked for a steak chimichanga and it was a steak burrito. My friend asked for a beef burrito and got chicken the food wasn’t good and the service was horrible. Out server didn’t come back and check on us and didn’t ask if we wanted other drinks. We were the only people in the place until one when a group of four came in. I don’t understand what the hold up was.

I really wanted to like this place. One of my friends has been telling me for months that we «have to go to Margaritas,» but I just don’t see what all the buzz is about. The place is sooo cheesy. Reminds me of the«Casa Bonita» episode of South Park if I have any fellow fans out there. Just a huge gimmicky place full of sub-par food. PROS: The margaritas were good and relatively inexpensive considering their large 16 ounce size. Felt pretty nice off two. The perfect buzz for a night out with friends. CONS: Everything else sucked. The place was filthy. Tables looked like they had not been wiped between customers and were coated with sticky slimy stuff. Gross. Service sucked. Our waiter was a nice guy, but he just kept dropping the ball. Didn’t bring us napkins or silverware. We had to ask twice. Come on. Took forever to bring out food and drinks and kept forgetting orders. Didn’t bring us water even though we asked. Now, don’t get me started on the food. A friend and I shared the quesadilla thinking it was going to be a large portion. It was soooo tiny. Like four little bites. It tasted like fake butter and fake cheese. Actually made me feel sick. The chips and salsa tasted stale and store-bought. Needless to say, I was not impressed. All in all, I would not return.

The food was so salty including the salsa. It was very disappointing. Service was not bad but when you can’t eat the food why even bother. I would recommend going elsewhere.

Atmosphere was decent. Went with a party of 20 and food was very salty. Especially the salsa. Nachos were amazing and love the street corn. Probably won’t visit for a while unless in craving nachos

This place seems to get a bad rap but if you come in unbiased its a pretty cool place. The inside is pretty cool with some music and thematic décor that really makes the place feel like you are somewhere else. The lighting is cool too but the food was pretty great as well. The chicken was grilled to perfection with warm chips served as well as fresh tortillas.

Horrible service. Nonexistent waitress. Manager had to take my money. I wouldn’t come back.

If I could I’d give no stars I would. I have been coming here for many years and it’s sad to see the service go into the toilet and the drinks get watered down. The parking lot was maybe half full for a Thursday night but walking in there were plenty of empty tables. The host didn’t have any menus and didn’t know which table to seat us at. Our waitress was there in body but not mind. She lacked training and a personally. Never asked how our food was, never asked us of we wanted drink refills had to ask for ice water. Had to ask twice for guacamole. I’d ordered tacos and was not given any extra napkins. And to top it off have us the wrong check. I’d advise GOSOMEWHEREELSE. So not worth the money.

Nope. This place is big, open and empty. Has huge potential. Wait staff was kind and attentive. I left them a nice tip. Chips seemed store bought and stale. Salsa seemed to be from a can. Tacos could have been great but the meat… again you guessed. Seemed like it came from a can. The food wasn’t awful, like I said. The tacos were ok and had huge potential. Maybe I was there on an off day. I’ll go back sometime and try again. But my hopes will not be high.

It was just OK. The atmosphere was sort of outdated and the dining area was very large, and open, yet not busy. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The pork tacos were very salty. Also got the chicken chimichanga, decent size portion and flavorful guacamole. It’s a good place for a quick bite to eat if you’re looking to get on and off the highway easily, but not a place where I would frequent.

Do not come here unless you are looking for a mediocre meal at a ridiculous price! Very bad place if you’re looking for a good meal! :( I came here with my mother and a close friend. Once we were seated, the server was very kind and funny(we even exchanged a few words in Spanish, she was so nice). I decided to share the fajitas with my mother, seeing as we were not too too hungry and it appeared to be a large portion. My friend ordered the«Gringo Burger». We waited too long for our food, way too long. The food arrived separately, first with my friends’ «Gringo Burger». He opened the burger to see it drenched in a sticky yellow goopy cheese with peppers, I would say almost the consistency of a cheap nacho cheese. It was sent back and the server was kind enough to comp the meal. Our fajitas came finally after the burger was sent back. As we ate, we could taste how under-seasoned the rice and meat was. At most it was edible, but we were already tired so we just put a lot of salt and pepper and hoped for the best. My advice to you; stick to going for happy hour drinks if you’re coming here at all. My mother ordered a margarita and thought it tasted pretty good. The only reason I’m giving a two star rating is because of the kind server.

This place gets two stars for their drinks and for serving food late. But with that I have to add that the food is not good. My tacos literally fell apart as I ate them they were so soggy and the beef was so tough I could barely chew it. My boyfriends carnitas tacos were pure fat and the«chipotle bbq sauce» tasted like extra salty bbq with a TON of red pepper(mind you we love red pepper, this was just an absurd amount) Prices seemed okay at first but when I saw what you got for them, I now am completely disappointed. I wish I didnt waste my money on the«tacos»

I hear that the food and service USED to be great here. We came because of a fundraiser where 15% of our meal price would be donated to Art Center East. It was a Thursday and we arrived about 7:15 with another couple. Service was very slow and our waitress didn’t always get things right. Neither she or the manager were knowledgable or helpful in navigating choices for gluten free dining. So, I played it safe with a salad with salmon. The food was bland and uninspired. The salmon was the tiniest serving I’ve ever had on a dinner salad. That was okay since it was pretty dry and fishy tasting. The other three people with me felt similarly about their good. I can only complement the pitcher of margaritas. We won’t be back.

Sub par at best. I don’t know why we come here; its an awful place to watch sports, so don’t come here for that. The TVs are small and oddly positioned. The food is not authentic, and overall just not very good. I like the sangria. PASS.

I came here for happy hour and had a good time. The margaritas could be stronger, but the space is huge, and the vibe is chill. The quesadillas were hearty and packed with cheese. Happy hour ends at 6pm, so be sure to get here in time!

My friends and I met here after work and sat at the bar. Matt the bartender was super attentive. He probably brought four rounds of chips and salsa for us, without any prompting. We ordered one of their original margaritas($ 5 during happy hour, which is from 3−6pm), guacamole($ 5, another happy hour deal), two veggie burritos($ 11.99 each), and one quesadilla($ 7.99). Some people may be a little wary of the entrée plates that were so hot you could almost burn yourself touching them, but I loved the fact that they kept my food warm while I ate. And it took me awhile because my burrito was huge! I told Matt I was lactose intolerant(I’ve found that’s the easier option for people to take my vegan diet seriously), and he assured me that he would put in the order without any dairy. Even when the food came, he checked with the other employee to make sure, which I really appreciated. I would probably rank the food below Chipotle, but I do think the price, quality, and quantity is great when compared to other sit-down restaurants. I’m giving four stars because of the service, which I think was excellent.

My best friend and I stopped in for a margarita one night to meet up with one of her friends. Pretty standard margarita menu, I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita and she ordered the mother of all margaritas, the heavens to mergatroid! 7 different boozes all in her one margarita! We also it chips and salsa which are pretty standard for a chain Mexican restaurant. The service was quick and friendly and since I was the DD, I drank diet cokes the rest of the evening. When her friend arrived, he ordered coronas and was happy with that. We’ll always be back for the margaritas and the relaxed atmosphere.

I’m a fan. I mostly like the drinks here– the margaritas are yummy– but I’ve had a few great salads as well. I was a bit disappointed with my salad most recent visit. They seem to have changed the dressing I’m used to getting with my steak salad, and it was a bit lackluster overall(the lettuce wasn’t super crisp, and the meat was OK but not perfectly cooked like I’ve had it before). The free chips(warm and fresh out of the oven) are great, and are served with a fresh, slightly spicy salsa. I’m not a huge fan of the nachos here, but that’s a personal preference. I have a friend who always gets the enchiladas and loves them. You get a lot of food at a really affordable price, and it’s a pleasant setting. I agree with Lesley Q that the best seats are the comfy, half-circle booths in the bar area. I always grab one of those! Also, the bar area plays better music than the dining area, so I always prefer to eat there :)
