Don’t normally stop here, but it was convenient that day, picked up a 12 pack and a bottle of wine. The wine was on the shelf for $ 6.97, but the price tag was upside down… turns out they charged me $ 12.50 and said the $ 6.97 price was for the smaller bottle which wasn’t there or available. The proprietor said «that’s the way we do things around here» and rather than offer me the posted price, was OK to see me dissatisfied and leave to never come back again rather than eat a couple of bucks (their mistake) and keep a customer happy. Because, you see, it’s not only me you’ve lost as a customer, it may also be anyone who reads this post and believes in the power of social media. I will shop there again though, when I see the“going out of business sale”

Called to see if they carry a limited released from Narragansett Brewery — their Imperial Black Steam Lager — and a gentleman answered, and seemed nice enough, indicated he had a couple of patrons in line, that he’d ring them up, and then follow up on my inquiry…
…apparently puts the phone on the counter, and I can hear people being serviced, the opening of paper bags, register clicking, and the chatting from a female associate, apparently also ringing people out…
…up to 17 minutes, and no pick up, even when the ringing slows to a crawl.
I’ll not get that time back, and I’ll not be going back to Towne Line…‘cept to pop in and tell them to put their phone back in the cradle.

I have been to Town Line Liquor a few times. It is a small shop, but they have all the old standards.
I went in a few weeks ago to grab a bottle of wine and was looking for something specific. The man working asked me if I needed help, and when I told him what I wanted and he realized they do not currently carry it, he gave me tons of options that were similar. I tried one and it was great!

Pretty small liquor store but has the standards and good prices. Open every day except Christmas Day.
