We visited Jason’s on a Sunday night and had a very enjoyable experience. Jason’s is part of the Jacky’s Galaxy family of Asian restaurants and the quality is similar to others we have tried. Décor is really nice and bright. It’s a fairly small restaurant and seems to do a good take out business. That being said, it’s a very nice dining in experience too. We ordered a mixture of sushi, soul, noodles, and pad Thai. All were so fresh and portions were huge! I had the wonton soup(delicious and huge tasty wontons) and the French crunchy special roll(which the chef created a gorgeous scene out of with the dipping sauces). My parents had the pad Thai and a noodle dish and loved it – enough leftover for another meal or two. They definitely use high quality and fresh ingredients here. Like other reviews note, service is really slow here. They had only one waitress one when we went and even though there were never more then five tables at one time, she really struggled to check in on the different guests/tables. Hopefully they’ll work out this kink shortly! My new favorite Asian spot in EG — worth the visit!

Excellant food. Service was perfect. Had ravioli which I guess was similar to dumplings. They were the best I have had. The skin which I was told was home made was very good. Not all batter like others I have had. All meat little batter the way they should be. Had eel over rice. 2 pieces of eel not a lot of rice so I could taste the eel. Pad Thai noodles with chicken pork and shrimp, were very flavorful. Had two sushi rolls, plenty of fish not all rice. Great place highly recommend it.

I had lunch here today and what a pleasant surprise. Our server was super sweet and attentive. My friend ordered the Nime Chow and Veggie Tempura from the appetizer list. She loved them both. I ordered from the lunch menu… Orange chicken, perfectly cooked brown rice and nice fresh broccoli! Yum.

Part of the Jacky’s Galaxy chain, Jason’s is Asian fusion. All dishes have big portions for big appetites. The atmosphere is relaxed and each table is well-lit. The Vegetable Hor Fun or wide noodles is good and the lunch specials provide more than other Asian restaurants. The General Tso’s Shrimp offers five shrimp in the lunch special which is more than the usual three from other restaurants. Overall, a decent experience.

This place had great reviews, so we were definitely looking forward to checking it out. The food and décor were on point, but the service was absolutely awful. We went in on a Tuesday night and the waiter was clearly too busy doing something else to come over and get us a glass of water or take our order. I actually had to ask him for a glass of water — and when it was gone, he never refilled the glasses through the whole dinner. The worst part was that at 9:00 we had finished our meal and were just chit chatting when he came over and asked us if we could hurry up and sign our credit card slips so he could go home. I get that it was a weeknight, but it was only 9:00 and he was not shy about asking us to hurry up and leave. The good points: The ambience is cool, good lighting and interesting décor. The sushi was about average — definitely not the worst or the best I’ve had — but I wouldn’t hesitate going back on the basis of the food quality. We were hoping for the 5 star place that others had raved about. Maybe we just got a bad waiter on a slow night.

I have to say, I was quite excited about dining here, but the experience fell very short of my expectations. Our waitress was brutally hungover(it was a weekday) and it showed; she never once filled up our water glasses on her own(I am an avid water drinker and needed to ask multiple times for one refill), she messed up both our orders, she dropped glasses/items more than once and she was excruciatingly slow. I can understand being hungover — we’ve all been there — but do not show up for work if you cannot perform your duties. Besides the bad service, the food wasn’t even anything to call home about, and the menu was for«Jackys», not«Jasons». If you want good asian fusion, sushi and Chinese food in East Greenwich, there are at least two other places I would refer you to before this. The only good things about this experience were the prices and the portions.

This place, in my mind, is a definite 5-star sushi(and Asian fusion) restaurant, based on just one lunch there last week and then one dinner more recently. I ordered the lettuce wrap appetizer, and it was so delicious, it has me craving them still today. I had a salmon sushi entrée, which was salmon served raw, and smoked, as a roll, as sashimi, and as normal sushi which I believe is called nigiri. The salmon was delicious, buttery and so wonderfully fresh-tasting, it had to have come out of the ocean that morning! The entrée was accompanied by delicious miso soup and salad. My friend had miso soup, salad and pad Thai, which she gave me a taste of. It was absolutely delicious. But what really puts Jason’s over the top, in my estimation, is the gorgeous, well thought out, interior design. Just beautiful. Jason’s is somehow related to the Jacky’s Galaxie empire — I’m fairly certain that Jason is Jacky’s brother. But whatever, it’s a great place, not totally inexpensive, I might add, but totally well worth the price if you’re looking for an excellent Asian restaurant in East Greenwich with the freshest fish and a lovely interior. Our waitress was just the teensiest bit slow, this IS a very new restaurant, and I’m sure she’s much better by now! Not taking off any stars for that because she was friendly, sweet and anxious to please.

The quality and presentation of every dish I’ve had there is incredible. I have eaten there 4 times since it opened in February!!! Don’t miss out!

Jason’s is actually a Jacky’s Galaxy restaurant. Menu is similar to the others. The sushi I would certainly recommend. The Mr. Mango and Frenchy Crunch were quite good. Crab rangoon– Jacky’s are always tasty. Only disappointment was the rice as the veggies were frozen. Bummer. Few kinks to work out but it is definitely well decorated like most Jacky’s Galaxy restaurants are. Service is a bit slow but a nice and refreshing spot for sushi aside from the usual Kon or other sushi places on Main St.

We ate at Jason’s last Friday night. We had a appetizer of Scallion Pancakes(not bad, the pickled cukes were great). for the entrée I had the shrimp, scallop and lobster stir fry… It was absolutely awful. the only thing that was halfway decent on the plate was the shrimp. My wife had the Beef with Udon Noodles. she liked it alot. We took home an order of Beef LoMein(greasy and bland) and Pork Fried Rice(not sure what kind of meat they used in the dish as it was tastless). We will not be going back to there. Seven Moons and the Pagoda have no reason to worry about this resturant.

I’m never one to write reviews but I know how critical the first few months of a new restaurant are… so…we tried Jason’s last night. We are a family of 4 with 2 daughters under 8 years old. Everyone raved over the food, the sushi was fabulous and the regular menu for the girls was as well. We all left talking about when we would return. The service was wonderful as well. Keep up the good work!!!

We took a chance and cruised by Jason’s last night and happened on the first night of their«soft» opening. The newly renovated building is both modern and elegant with comfortable booths, hi tech lighting and a well appointed bar. We were less that adventurous and ordered egg rolls as an appetizer. They were hot and crisp and served with duk sauce. Our entrees included Fried Bean Curd with Spicy Garlic Sauce, Cod Fish with General Tao’s Sauce and Three Delights(Shrimp, Chicken and Beef w Vegetables). Prior to being served our entrees we were presented with samples of several additional appetizers. I’m sure the kitchen was testing production of these and we were glad to be the test subjects as the Crab Rangoons were outstanding and the Coconut Shrimp were close to perfection. Our entrees were also excellent, The Tofu was crisp, hot and spicy, my fish was steamed perfectly and garnished with fresh green onions and herbs, and the Three Delights and accompanying vegetables were perfectly cooked. As a chef(CIA78) and Culinary Educator, I would highly recommend that you try the newest restaurant in East Greenwich. The location(across from Benny’s Plaza) is convenient, and there is plenty of parking.
