Awesome store! I was in East Greenwich and wandering around just killing time while waiting for my dog’s grooming appointment to finish up(yes, I chauffer him all the way to RI for grooming). I noticed the array of great items in the window and went in(I also noticed the big«pet friendly» sign!) and loved the eclectic mix of household items, dog items(you can never have enough of those), jewelry, baby gifts, more gifts… really, there is something for everyone. I purchased an ornament and earrings as a gift, found the total price to be MORETHANREASONABLE, and will definitely stop by the next time I am in East Greenwich.

What a great little new shop this is(actually, it’s not little, it’s pretty big in there, come to think of it — it seems like it took up the space from two shops.) Anyway, it is GRAND! Wonderful, eclectically chosen articles for sale — there is a lot of beautiful vintage furniture hand painted(OR re-upholstered) by various artists in many different ways. I was very interested in the furniture, hand-painted in genuine Annie Sloan Paint, by East Greenwich artist, Carole Morsilli. Her beautiful pieces are a little difficult to find. The Furniture Guy from the Arcade in Providence also shows some of his pieces there. His paint is of a different type — it looks like very hard enamel painted on top of the vintage wood. Courtney Grady-Calcione, the owner, displays artwork by mostly(or possibly exclusively) local artists. There is jewelry, homemade chocolate candy, paintings, cute things for your doggie(NB: Local artist, William K. Muzzy is currently taking orders for charcoal or pencil — not sure which — portraits of your favorite pet or person for only $ 10 — ONLYTENDOLLARS — don’t know how he can do that but I think he is trying to get into the Guinness Book of World Records on this one) I saw the owner’s dog’s portrait displayed at the store, and it is beyond adorable so I just hired him to do three drawings of my special dogs and granddaughter! I can’t wait to see them. Anyway, there are so many wonderful things in this gorgeously arranged shop with two(or three) very large display windows filled and beautifully curated with items representative of what you will find inside. I am SO excited that David-Max has come to East Greenwich. It is SO not like the many staid and old-fashioned shops I seem to come across in Rhode Island. There is a young or young at heart and very stylish vibe to this store. I do love things that are different, and this is one shop where you will find different. It’s not a Pottery Barn, it’s more like a unique Anthropologie with one of a kind items that once you buy it — it’s gone — and you’ll never see another one like it anywhere. I would buy out the whole store, but I already have a lot of «stuff.» So I will be recommending it to all my friends, to all Unilocal’ers, and if I CAN find an empty spot on the floor or on the wall in my home, I will be purchasing something here soon. David-Max, it’s a GOOD thing!!!
