We went here with our daughter 2 weeks ago after apple picking. We were seated promptly. We were told who our waitress was going to be but to have someone else come to our table after 15 min of sitting. Or waitress was on a lunch break. Poor communication. We placed our order and as we sat across from the door way to the kitchen we watched our order get pushed back for about 20 min while everyone’s food was coming out. When they finally brought our food to the table the cheese on the fries was hardened and my burger was missing the toppings. When complained about we watched our waitress walk into the kitchen and toss the plates in the microwave. Definitely not going back

Having been to Friendlys throughout my childhood a commercial quickly brought back nostalgic feelings. Went on a Sunday afternoon with my ten year old. Many of the franchises around my area had closed so we took the fifteen minute drive from Delmar. I don’t know where to begin. The portions were horrible the waitress was careless(Kim). The fries were burnt, the buns were soggy the Mac and cheese was old. We paid left and vowed to never go back. For 33 dollars a better meal would have been had at McDonalds. As a 25% tipper I felt extremely guilty leaving 10% but that was generous. With no warning that two sides for my sons build your own Mac had run out he was left with a simple plate of Mac and cheese with a side of bacon. When I asked the waitress said she would check. No substitutions were offered or given. Left feeling sad. Had many great meals with my family as a kid. After the chapter 13 bankruptcy you would think the few locations left would step up their game.

I had a yen for fish and chips today May 8, 2015. I opened the door to see that it had been recently updated. I thought oh this is nice. After 5 minutes I was seated by my waitress. I opened the menu to be SHOCKED by the prices. I asked the waitress did the prices increase? She quietly nodded and smirked yes. I said Friendly’s is closing restaurants all over. She replied ahhuh I know. I said revamping the restaurant and paying for it on the backs of customers is insane. She again said I know. I said well since I am here I am going to have my late lunch but I won’t be back. She responded that is already happening with other customers. They come and when they see the prices they order but they to state they won’t be back. I ended up ordering clams which came with fries and coleslaw. The waitress was polite the service was good the food was ok and the prices are INSANE!!!

Went there with a friend who liked the place. Could smell that the floor wasn’t cleaned well. Had at least two flies roaming around the table. Burger was ok though probably overpriced given all the extra charges for toppings. Chicken strips were disgusting and made of a mixture of starch and chicken which tasted disgusting hence the low rating. The one star goes to the waitress who did a good job but basically cannot be blamed for the dirty restaurant or the food quality.

I was so unhappy at all the recent closing of this establishment near where I live. This includes Delmar and the one by Crossgates Mall. After attending a small event, me and my wife decided we were hungry for breakfast. We went to this Friendly’s which(thank God was not closed). The staff could not of been more courteous to myself my wife and our newborn. The veggie omelette with red skin potatoes was delicious and the coffee was plenty and above satisfactory. Thanks for a good experience.

Waitress remembered our order and left everything off my sandwich when I asked. The pickle that came with my meal looked like it had already been eaten. I asked for more and the same thing with the other ones. Other than that it was a good visit.
