Fancy Nails

I think this is my first Unilocal review. Awful experience. This place puts trash bags in the basins of the pedicure stations so they don’t have to clean them in between customers. So many coats of polish were put on my nails that 3 hours after getting them done they still smudged. Really terrible place, don’t waste your money.

Done extremely quickly, no attention to detail, and dirty conditions. Foot scrubber cleaned while my feet were in tub.

Ok I’ve never written a review before but I had to warn people about this horrible place! I usually go to a different nail place by price chopper but decided to try something new. i wrnt in for a fill and change of color/​design. Well right off the bat the lady cut my finger with the electric nail grinder thing. Pretty deep. Blood was running down mt hand and she ignored it until it staeyes burning so bad I jerked my hand out of hers. She then said sorry and wiped it off with a blue solution. Ok. so then I ask if I can get a design. The man came over at that point and says he will do it. He couldn’t. I said no problem ill just keep the blue I had them put on. I was ready to go and my finger was on fire it hurt so bad. The man made the comment that I was probably not going to pay now because I didnt like it, which was not true! Now heres the absolute worse part, the woman who did my nails came over to where I was drying them and attempted to put her Hand in my purse to get the 15 $ I owed them! She said «I help you get the money» what?!! I gave them their money and left. Seriously never ever go there!

Clean, nice staff. Nancy is a perfectionist and does a great job. One of the Best places I have found in Albany since I moved here. Especially for the prices. I liked seeing a cross in the corner too. I suggest to call ahead for appointment.

I went here for the first time last week. My experience was sub par at best. Went in for a shellac manicure and regular pedicure. The girl doing my pedicure was pretty good, very attentive to the needs my feet have and my feet came out smooth and soft. My issues came when it was time to paint my nails. They switched girls and the girl who painted just threw the polish on and then clean it up with some alcohol. I also saw her diluting some of the polish which I’m not sure if that’ common practice or not.
During my manicure it was the same thing, slapped the polish on and just cleaned it up on the edges. When I went into the salon there was no one there but me but towards then end they started getting some regulars and I feel like the rushed me out of the chair, they didn’t use any lotion or have a hand massage which is common at other places I go to. To make matters worse the shellac on a couple of my nails had dripped down onto my fingers sealing the tips of my nails. I had to use scissors to remove it.
I don’t think I will be visitng again.

$ 35 for regular mani/​pedi. They were super friendly and very nice, but once they realized I didn’t feel like talking much they left me alone (just wanted to relax). They have the great pedicure seats with massages. The only thing was I think their method was slap the paint on, and then clean off the excess from your toes. Didn’t matter since my nails and toes came out looking great — I would go again!

I was hesitant to come here but I was in town and my nails needed a fill. I waited about fifteen minutes and was called over so the tech could start my nails. I did not catch her name but she was nice AND she knew what she was doing. These days it is often too much to ask to actually have your nails look like they weren’t done by a twelve year old on bath salts. This girl did a nice job and the fill cost a mere $ 15.00. I noticed the employees seemed to have a good rapport with their customers which is also a good sign. This salon has been here for many years and I am surprised not to see more reviews. This will be my go to salon the next time I am in town. Very pleased.

Owners Mr. Le and wife are always pleasant and very accommodating. Salon is newly renovated and clean. Location is convenient @ Hannaford plaza.
