They run a pretty clean place here. They show regular Hollywood movies(sometimes sport events) in the main theater and they have three separate mini theaters in the back showing all types of adult films, and have several booths for private viewing. So, there is something for everyone. Free coffee and doughnuts — comfortable sitting area. Mixed crowd — all ages — all races.

I remember the Fair Theatre fondly. My brother and I attended on many Saturday mornings. Our mother would prepare two sandwiches for each of us. One would be peanut butter and jelly, the other lettuce and tomato, sometimes with left over meat. Entry was a dime(could have been a quarter). We’d see a serial, a cartoon and a double feature and a Newsreel. I fell in love with Elizabeth Taylor in Lassie Come Home and was totally enthralled with the beauty of Fantasia at the Fair Theatre. I’m sure I left a few wads of bubble gum under the seats. That was around 1942 or 1943. Our family lived almost around the corner at 33 – 3388th Street. It was a lifetime ago — but just like yesterday. Fred Hirsch

Shows foreign films along with an occasional classic like Casablanca or West Side Story. Great cappucino and espresso. Kept scrupulously clean. Great play area in the back. Discount 10 admission coupon books available for 50 bucks, which works out to 5 bucks a pop. You can’t beat it. Highly recommended.
