Jimbos Hamburger Palace

Jimbo’s has been in decline for some time now. I discovered them two years ago. The turkey burgers were to die for. Of course they gave very few lettuce shavings and maybe one tomato and absolutely no pickles or cole slaw, but the turkey burger was so good that it didn’t matter. Then they changed the meat and now they aren’t worth buying at all. Jimbo’s has always been no frills but now they are scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to quality. They boast of having a «Best Mexican» menu but if you were to order a soft taco you would find that it would come with hot sauce but no avocado sauce or lime or even a bit of radish as is «best» in Mexican cuisine. False advertising to say the least. After previously expressing praise to the manager about how good the chicken tacos were, I recently ordered chicken tacos that turned out to be the very opposite of good. Much of the chicken was so over-​cooked I couldn’t bite into it. I bought the tacos as carry out so I called the manager immediately after my first bite. The manager said that this happened because they were very busy with orders at the time and since I am always complaining he doesn’t want me to ever come back again and hung up the phone on me. At no point did he offer to make me a better taco let alone refund me my money. He didn’t even give me a chance to ask. The writing was on the wall. After the turkey burgers I knew that if the chicken tacos didn’t work out then there would be nothing for me to return for. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
