Market Cafe & Deli

Market Café & Deli is awesome! Very friendly people and a welcoming environment. In the mornings there will likely be a line because the coffee is amazing! I get a Soy Chai Tea Latte very often and cannot get enough! It is so perfectly made and a large is less than a Grande at Starbucks! The bacon, egg, and cheese is great. They press the English muffin or bagel on the grill and it is almost like a breakfast panini! Also, I have also ordered the chicken eggplant calzone ($ 4) and it is warm, toasty, and delicious :) There are good candies here-​and they are not the same all the time so it brings variety! Overall I cannot get enough of this place. Definitely highly recommend you stop by!

This café has amazing breakfast sandwiches and coffee, but perhaps more importantly, the people are wonderful. Aisha and Dawn always greet you with a smile and friendly conversation (if you’re up for it!). My favorite sandwich is the potato and egg on a seeded roll, which comes in fresh from Meridian Market (owners of Market Café) every morning. They offer to add cheese and press the sandwich, making it even better. I love that the sandwiches are freshly made each morning, but are not made from scratch on the spot, allowing your visit to be a quick in-​and-​out on your way to work or an appointment at the health center. The iced coffee is absolutely delicious, and they have all sorts of varying pastries each day. There are tables outside in warm weather, and the location across the street from the Maverick T Station makes it extremely accessible and convenient. I love this little café!

I had really high hopes for this place. A cool new coffee shop in my hood? Awesome. So I decided to give it a try on my way to work. I got a large vanilla iced coffee which was a. Smaller than a dunks medium b. at least 25% super sweet vanilla syrup and c. Still warm-​ish so the ice melted instantly. Maybe I should have gotten a latte– those looked better. I also got an egg and cheese sandwich which I was expecting to be real egg but turned out to be one of those pre-​made egg patties like they serve at dunks and the bagel was Thomas’ brand. If I wanted to eat processed garbage (which, mind you i don’t have a big problem with) I could have gone to the dunks across the street or the honey dew next door. Overall, not terrible, but I expected better.

It’s very rare I don’t drop by here 3 times a week for breakfast. Sometimes twice a day, they make the best coffee is East Boston, HANDS DOWN!
They make a mean Café Americano, which is my go to. Their breakfast sandwiches are excellent, and when I have the need for something sweet, they have excellent pastries.
Plus, Nikita and Iesha and super friendly, always upbeat and great to talk to. If you’re in the area, drop by for a coffee or pastry.

Such a breath of fresh air to have this café in Maverick Square. I love to stop at this spot before or after appts. at the Health Center. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Delicious, fresh brewed Equal Exchange coffee, fresh prepared sandwiches, wraps, crepes, snacks etc. great selection of natural/​organic beverages. I believe this place is run by the owners of Meridian Market and they continue meet my standards of excellence with both places. I hope this little gem is here to stay and provide East Boston with fresh/​natural lunch/​coffee options for many more years to come.

Wow! Having been a frequent maverick station commuter and avoiding honey dew and dunkins because of poor cleanliness, Market Café is the missing link in an up and coming neighborhood in East Boston! I was so impressed with the everything from the coffee to the sandwiches and salads that they have certainly earned my business! Great job and continued success!
