One of the best burgers I’ve eaten in Buffalo. Great variety with endless options! You can choose from one of the delicious burger concoctions already named on the menu, or create your own! I had the bison burger with American cheese, ketchup, mustard, pickles & onion. I chose the combo, which added fries, a few onion rings, Cole slaw, and a drink for like three more bucks. My friend had the sweet potato fries. They were phenomenal and I’ll probably order those next time. It’s a counter service restaurant, so you walk up and order. While I was there, an older couple came in and ordered the all-you-can-eat buffet, but I left before I saw them get anything more than soup. I don’t know how big the burgers are, but who on earth can eat more than one burger?! I can’t wait to go back and try another burger. I may try the same thing because it was so good the first time, or I might try another burger or a different bun. Oh, also worth noting — they have a catering service they advertise in Bugsy’s that provides gluten-free meals for your family for the week. If I were more than a two-person household, I’d jump on that!

Been a repeat customer several times, food is consistent and hot– I love the way they box their meals. Fries and rings are good too! Burger is big and is a great value– great selection of bun choices. My only suggestion is that the buffalo fries need a little work. But it’s a nice place and a very good meal! To quote Arnold, I’ll be back!

We all liked our food. Great burgers with unique toppings and plenty of choices. Salad was very good as well. Service was fast with quality food. Girl at register could have been a bit friendlier and suggestive about menu items as it was our first visit. Overall we all said we would come back. If you like burgers give it a try.

Lots of choices but my burger was swimming in grease. Ketchup was like water for some reason, odd cost cutting measure.

Absolutely Amazing. I have been here twice already and haven’t been disappointed. I usually order the Classic Bugsy with bacon with fries and a drink. It is a bit more expensive than the regular fast food place, but well worrh it. If you’re going to eat a burger, why not go local instead? The meat is juicy and the fries are great. I ordered online both times and had no issues, but found it alittle overwhelming with the amount of options I had. Once my order went in, I was notified that the order will only take 15 minutes to cook. The restaurant is a decent size. As you walk in, the counter is directly in front of the door. There are several options for a burger, but the staff is always more than welcome to help if you have any questions. I surely recommend this place, especially for families and kids.

I was really excited to try this place as it’s very close to my apartment. I ordered the stuffed pepper burger and my husband had the Carmine. I will say that I ordered the food to go so it wasn’t hot and fresh when we started eating it. I wasn’t very impressed. After paying $ 26 dollars for our meal I was expecting a decent burger. The problem seemed to be the meat. It was a tiny patty and the beef was not very tasty. I am assuming it is most likely frozen. I can’t say it was a terrible meal, I guess we were expecting more for the price. Onion rings and French fries were delicious but that’s not a hard job to accomplish. Would I go again? Most likely not.

My first visit here was very positive and I am positive that I will be back. After she greeted us the Young Lady at the front counter explained the menu and explained our options. I decided to build my own burger and take advantage of the meal deal. I prescribed the following; traditional bun, Swiss cheese, lettuce, slice of onion, tomato, sautéed mushrooms and mayonnaise. The deal included soft drink, sweet potato fries, rings, dill pickle spear and coleslaw. It was a nice juicy burger and to my delight a portion of honey was included to dip my sweet potato fries in. This new restaurant is located between a locally owned tavern that is well known for its burgers and a national chain that is all about burgers in spite of the competition I expect this little gem of a burger joint to hold its own.

Pretty good food here. The staff was nice and welcoming. Lots of ingredients to pick from and a good price. The only thing holding them back I think is the layout of the restaurant, not that they could help it… I hope they find success !

Really enjoy the Avocado Motto burger, but the last two times we ordered my burger was overcooked.

Fun, new place in the plaza just north of Transit and Casey! The place is small, but it seems to be big enough for the amount of people that were in here at one time. We had a party of 11 and we fit fine. You order your burger by getting a sheet of paper and circling the options you want. You can choose to get sweet potato fries or other add-ons for an additional charge. I got a burger on a «lettuce cup.» The Lettuce cup was just two pieces of lettuce in lieu of the bun, which was fine. It definitely could not be eaten like a burger though, I had to eat it with a fork and knife. The burger was very good! Everyone in my party was satisfied and we would definitely consider going back. Support local businesses!

Had a pretty poor experience at this little burger joint in a strip mall. Place is nice looking enough on the inside. The concept is simple, think 5 Guys Burgers and Fries, with really slow service and more mediocre food. It’s laid out really poorly. They want you to «design your burger» on a chinese menu sheet, but you don’t see that until you get up to the counter. There also are several«house special» burger on a board on the wall that you can’t see from where you stand to order. Adding three bucks to make it a «box» gets you a ridiculously small portion of mediocre fries or onion rings. The burgers themselves weren’t terrible, but were also not great. Think fast-food quality, but not fast, and over $ 50 for dinner for four. Even the chocolate milkshakes were not very good. And they screwed up our order and the orders of several other folks around us and were not exactly contrite about it. Did I mention the garbage cans were overflowing? Not sure what’s up with all the positive reviews. I’ll pass on this place thanks.

Cool place and very tasty burgers and onion rings. It’s small but has character, kind of a 50’s /60’s vibe with music and interior. I don’t eat beef, but that isn’t a problem here with a selection of patty options like black bean, turkey, bison($ 2 extra), or portabella. You can go for build your own burger or pick a special creation from the menu. It’s kind of overwhelming at first with the choices of buns, toppings, cheese, and sauces for building your own… but at the same time you can be as creative as you want to be! They are accommodating and give you the menu and plenty of time to decide. I went with the Avocado Motto(lettuce, onion, bacon, avocado, garlic aioli, and crumbly blue cheese), with sesame bun and turkey patty. It was delicious! Turkey was cooked perfectly and super juicy! And not in any uniform shape so it looked freshly hand pressed ground turkey. They have a burger box option for $ 3 more and is definitely worth it. I opted for all onion rings instead of the fries and 2 onion ring box option. Glad I did, onion rings were pretty awesome! Some day I’ll be back and try my own creation.

I ate lunch here and it was the best burger I’ve had in Buffalo. I like my burger hand crafted and seasoned and not super gigantic, if thats not your thing, you may not agree. I got the build your own burger and there were a ton of choices. The prices were very reasonable. Given the quality, you will be hard pressed to find a better value, $ 10 for drink, good sized burger, sweet potato fries, 2 onion rings and coleslaw(the latter two included with the meal. There were lots of meat choices as well, black bean, portobello, bison, turkey etc. The service was great and it didnt take long considering how busy it was. The place was clean and nicely decorated. Really cute plating as well. I would give this a raving 5 stars if it weren’t for two things: 1. Toppings go on top! It’s a pet peeve of mine, but all of Buffalo has sandwich dyslexia. A sandwich is protein on the bottom, followed by a secondary protein(cheese, bacon etc.) and the rest of the toppings arranged by width to form a pyramid. This seems to be the general rule the rest of the world follows, but in Buffalo, its a free for all. 2. They delivered the food as it came ready instead of waiting till the whole tables orders were ready. I like it delivered at the same time, it’s awkward when one person has their food and the other doesn’t. It seemed to happen at every table around me. But those are not the types of things that would keep me from going back. I don’t think they have been opened long so I’m sure those things will improve.

Great burgers and the onion rings are delish! I regret not ordering one of their«handmade shakes.» The service was excellent and the food came out pretty fast.

Pretty good! I got the Greek black bean burger(another place that has options for vegetarians!) on a multigrain roll. It was supposed to come with tzatziki sauce but if it was on there, there wasn’t much of it. Just so you know, to upgrade to the burger box it is $ 3 when for just a normal side of fries or onion rings it is also $ 3. The box comes with a pickle, 2 onion rings, your choice of fries(sweet potato, regular, or buffalo style), a large fountain beverage, and cole slaw. Totally worth it! I only ate half my burger and the sweet potato fries which were good, and it was really filling. Build your own burger is an option! I might try that next time. Overall a good burger restaurant. I recommend if you’re in the area to give it a try!

Good points: build your own burger, staff Bad points: service, fries, milkshake — Bugsy’s Burger Bar is a small restaurant located at Transit Rd, East Amherst between Casey Rd and N French Rd. It is a brand new place with a brick style inside. It is the kind of location you feel welcome and excited to eat a burger. Stopping the car there is not a problem because even sharing the parking lot with other business it has enough space for everyone. I went on a Saturday around 1:30pm and had no issues to find a place to leave my car near there. The restaurant takes no reservation because it is a fast-food place. However the place was not crowded and it was very easy to find a seat by myself. The location is very clean, and the counter guy is very friendly and patience to explain to you how everything works. The burger options are very large and can make happy even picky eaters. The only thing that I don’t remember if they have a fish option there. But I will update the review once I go there again one day. It was said that they didn’t have fried eggs as an option too. We asked for our burgers and the bugsy burger for kids. And unfortunately here comes the bad part of my experience, none of the two burgers came correct and we sent them back. After they prepared new ones, the taste of my burger was OK but I believe it was because I asked for the Kimmelweck roll what added some seasoning to it however my wife and my son didn’t like their burgers. And the fries were very generic, I was expecting some kind of special seasoning to it. So, after eating the burgers, I wanted to try the milkshake. I went to the counter and asked for a chocolate flavor. Not good again. The milkshake seemed to have more milk than chocolate ice cream while we drink it. Neither my son that is addicted to milkshakes liked it so much. So after spending around $ 10 per person, I can say for sure that this is not my first option to go again, but I would come back again if a friend invites me because how nice the staff is. — Good for kids: YES Good for big groups: NO Enough parking spots to everyone: YES

Okay, so the food came. Not bad, they’re still pretty new though(clearly). It’s got that faux 50s diner motif going on. Not really my scene, but I’m reviewing the food, not the(terrible) music. So they do like a build your own burger thing. I got a beef burger with bacon and pepper jack cheese. It was juicy while being like medium well. The fries were pretty good and the service was prompt and friendly. My only real complaint is they need to dial it back a bit on the pepper in their meat. Like, I hit a few pockets where the pepper was really overpowering. But other than that it was pretty good. We’ll definitely be back soon to see how they’re doing.
