I went to Camp Tranquility many years ago
This is where I learned my love of nature that has stayed with me ever since
I am a city kid and was dazzled by the night sky, dirt roads, clean air and apple butter
It was on a dairy farm and waking up to see cows grazing from the window over my bed, my first morning there, was quite an experience
Swimming in a real creek!
Tranquility left quite an impression on me for sure
Three or six weeks away from my parents was wonderful, even if the counselors seemed to be there to spoil my fun
I haven’t kept in touch, so I don’t know about TY anymore
The website shows new bunks and no cow pasture but the location is top notch
