Gave 2 stars because they actually got me in on time for my appointment. Unfortunately, the tire change over took an hour and a half. I sat there while 4 other customers came and went with tire change overs. Furthermore, after inspecting my custom rims I found damage in the form of a large groove in my front passenger side rim. Pictures include for proof. My rims cost me over $ 1200 and would not have expected a tire service business to damage them with their tools. A couple of their customer service folks were pretty rude on the phone and I over heard them talking about clients in a derogatory way.

In and out in about 45 minutes. The tires were a little more expensive than Sam’s club, but cheaper than on-​post. That and the whole time thing. There’s plenty of nearby restaurants (by pleny, I mean 3, but it’s Eagle River, so you know what I mean.)
Studded tires, plus lifetime warranty in under an hour for less than $ 500, not bad.

I’ve come here for the past 4 – 5 years for tire changeover and their service is always speedy and friendly. If you’re late on getting tires changed over, rest assured you will get it done the next day or two. The staff doing the change get all nice and grimy and some of the hardest working people I’ve seen in my life. Kudos to them!

Great service, everyone was very friendly and they did a great job with my tire change over. Fast too! I needed a tire repair a few days later and they took me right in, even though it was close to closing time. They’ve got my business from now on!

I have been using Alaska Tire Service for the past four years and I continue to be more impressed during each visit. Despite being overwhelmed by long lines of customers, the staff remains calm, polite and helpful. I arrived for my 9:00am appointment for new studs and was out the door by 9:20am. It doesn’t get any better at this hectic time of the year, during tire changeover season. Thank you Alaska Tire!

Great prices and great service. I bought my Mazda’s winter tires here when no one else had them. Both times I’ve been there I have been in and out in less than 20 minutes. On top of it all it’s a great Eagle River location.

Per my friend, who told me this today:
they only make appointments but nicely squeezed me in and its only 30min wait. And better military discount (than Johnson Tire).
