The service is always horrible. So if you aren’t a fan of waiting, well… don’t stop by. This is «sushi» for someone who has never had sushi. It has good flavor but not authentic. The service is terrible. Like very terrible. I waited 20 minutes for a waitress to come by but I had to go fetch her myself and of course got an attitude along with ugly tasteless tea. It’s a place for the locals to come by but if you have ever had good food.. This isn’t the place! !!

Some of the worst sushi I have ever had. Too much rice in the rolls. I know sushi is really about the rice but the fish to rice ratio was way off. Why is there cream cheese in everything? Had to ask the waiter to hold the cream cheese on one of my roll and the other one had so much cream cheese that was all you tasted. Expensive for the amount of sushi you get in an order. Strange sauce on the table where the soy sauce should be. You’re better off getting sushi at the HEB.

I just went there as a turist, passing by but I found delicious food, like for real. I fell in love with their shrimp skewers! I didn’t like the wasabi, though. In general, it is a good place, not so loud, whit good music, and kind stuff. Thank you! :)

Well there is no other sushi even remotely in this area. It’s clearly not an authentic experience, but it didn’t taste bad…? It was odd & almost like trying a new kind of cuisine all together. Very non-traditional. Again, for what what it is, it didn’t taste bad, we just weren’t blown away. Ps– one of the reviews said the soy sauce was odd colored and had sediment on e bottom– that’s because that’s not soy sauce. Just in the soy sauce container. You have to ask for soy sauce & wasabi. And forks and napkins apparently. Oh well. We came for sushi, we got«sushi».

One word… GROSS. If you like eating fish that is accompanied with blocks of cream cheese this is the place for you! In addition to the crappy sushi is the crappy service. I went with a friend last week and there was one other family and the service was abominable. Oh and what’s up with the servers speaking Spanish? I understand EP is located next to Mexico but this is the U.S. For crying out loud. Steer clear of this establishment!!!

Being from Las Vegas, I actually didn’t have high goes for this place. But to my surprise this is actually some of the best sushi I have ever had. The sauces they use complement the fish, raw or cooked, perfectly! Very well done. You have to ask for wasabi which I thought was unusual but other than that the food is absolutely fantastic!

I don’t normally write bad reviews but this place is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. I just moved to the area from California where my wife and I ate sushi, at least once a week. I’ve never seen fish that looked or smelled like this. The tuna and salmon were much too dark and smelled a bit fishy. The soy sauce had a brown tint to it with white sediment at the bottom. Service was slow and the menu offered very little in the way of Sushi! If you are a real sushi lover, I wouldn’t waste your time. I just hope I don’t get sick!

It’s my third visit to Tensai Sushi & I have orders various non-sushi menu items. I really like the Chun-Kun(chicken & vegetable egg rolls), but I’ll order it without the topped sauce next time & keep the crispness. I don’t eat sushi, so I haven’t tried the sushi menu items. I’ve ordered a Kombo menu item once, but thought it was too greasy. I wish Miso soup was on the menu.

Probably the best sushi in town… Actually the only sushi place in town. The only reason why I have this place a 4, is because the service is a little on the slow side on average. I’ve gone a couple of times and the service is great, other times not so much, I guess it really depends who is on staff. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. The lunch specials and dinner specials are super affordable and allow you to mix and match.

My mom loves it here. The foods great. I can get really full before I even get my food though just drinking. They take a very long time with our food. Servers have a hard time figuring out when we try asking questions about meals. Food still comes out amazing. Rice too! Its different but just right.

The menu really freaked me out. All of the Nori rolls had cream cheese… Not something I’m used to. I settled for the beef teppanyaki… And it was really good. The meat is cooked just right, spices are balanced, nothing was overwhelming. This place was a pleasant surprise. So much so I may try one of the rolls…

. The fried rice is actually really good. Wine selection is pathetic and there is no sake. The menu is an interesting mix of what you would expect from sushi but with a strange Mexican twist. Considering it’s the only sushi place in eagle pass, I’ll come here again if I’m just dying for sushi but eh.
