When visiting the White Mountains, areas like Greer or Sunrise, this Bashas is the closest supermarket. There is a Safeway about one mile farther down the road in Springerville, but I find that this Basha’s has better prices. People that work here are friendly and helpful. If you are in Greer, it is about 20 miles to this store. While you can get most things you need in town at the Lazy Trout, if you need groceries for a week, this is the place to go. The bakery here does a good job. I assume they have a bakery anyway, because the store brand bread was so soft and delicious. They stock Morning Star vegetarian products, which is something that can be hard to find in small rural towns. Beer prices are comparable to prices in Phoenix, which is nice. Session Lager was $ 11.99 per 12 pk., and Landshark was on sale for $ 10.99 per 12 pk. Craft beers were priced a little higher, but worth it knowing small convenient stores in the area charge around $ 10 – I’m just happy they have them. Vacation wouldn’t be the same without IPA. Good old store, great little town! RIP Eddie Basha– Arizona Legend.
