Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

My husband and I had breakfast this morning. The food was well prepared and tasty. The service was slow, even though the restaurant was not busy. I was told several servers had not shown up for work.

I will start by saying I went to this perkins before work so I didn’t have much time, The greeter was fine my issue was with the waitress, she was rude, it took her over 30 minutes to bring my food. I timed it!!. very rude! I finally. went to the counter to talk to the manager and finally she came out with my food! it took way to long to serve me. and she never ask if I would like anything else she just bought me the Bill Soo rude! I did notice another couple that came in after me and they received there food immediately. in 10 minutes. I didn’t have much time to even enjoy my food because it took soo long. I will give this perkins one star. Ms. reviewer. (as I was leaving, paying for my bill, she didn’t care that I was talking to the manager about what happen.) One Star!*

Super fast service. Joseph the waiter, actually remembered my order from last week down to the pop I drink. Very impressed! Always a clean place here too. Highly recommend!

This Perkins (it’s actually in Eagan) has taken an uptick in service, food and décor. The blueberry pancakes were very good and they had sugar free syrup (though I never thought to ask for it, before). The service was outstanding and welcoming, though the server was new to the restaurant. The wait for the food was much shorter than we’ve previously experienced. This place happens to be super convenient — the parking is easy and after breakfast we were near all the shopping we needed to do — Cub, Walmart, gas station and our dry cleaner. If the coffee were more flavorful, I’d have opted for the fifth star.

I live in Eagan and have dined here for breakfast and dinner. I like to get the Fabulous Five as it is only $ 4 and it fills me up. The pancakes and bacon are excellent, the eggs and toast are just ok. The service is very good in the early morning during the week. The server is very friendly and fast, and I can dine there around 5:30 and still get to my job in St. Paul in plenty of time. However, there are longer service waits on weekends and dinner times.

No stars… I had to wait for 45 minutes to get my breakfast. Then they forgot the pancakes. worst Perkins ever. store manager needs to be ‘re-​evaluated along with the cookers in the back.

Stopped in for an afternoon breakfast and the service was pretty terrible and the food was worse. Perkins used to have the best pancakes and now they are just completely inedible. Hash Browns were drenched in butter and soggy. Sausage patties are still delicious. My husband got an omelette that was blah but edible. Nothing here to go back for. Our waiter ignored us most of the time even though he kept walking by our table and empty cups. The manager rang us up and asked how it was I said «terrible» and he said «yeah, that’s why you ate it all» to which I said «no, I’m taking it home to my nephew». I thought that was extremely rude and we should have been offered a discount. Never going back.

Originally from Southern California, I had to stay in Eagan for a month for Flight Attendant training. Perkins is the closest American diner we have to Denny’s which is very popular in the west coast. Although Denny’s has more choices on the menu, Perkins still didn’t disappoint.

We were in the mood for breakfast! Headed over to this Perkins. It was just after noon.
Walked in the door, looked around, pretty busy here. It was about ¾ full with empty tables interspersed throughout.
Was surprised when the host said there would be a wait. There was even another couple sitting waiting. I looked around again just to confirm there were indeed quite a few empty tables in each section of the place.
But we waited. Several minutes later were led to a table, given menus, and then promptly ignored for the next 15 minutes. Finally just left.
Sorry Perkins I ain’t taking that kinda bullshit from you. I don’t know if you had enough staff or not, but if not then close a damn section down instead of empty tables throughout the place and ignored customers. If you weren’t having staffing issues then the alternative is pure incompetence.
Either way, I’m done with you. Your food isn’t good enough to treat customers like they don’t matter.
The reason this was a great day? I drove a block down the road to another joint known for breakfast, you know the one in the little strip mall. Its no less than spectacular and my new new breakfast place. And I owe finally giving em a try thanks to Perkins!

Had a decent time. Waitress was decent but still prompt. Food was good. Wifi here is extremely slow. I’m a student and would like a spot with good wifi. This is not the spot. Atmosphere is very clean.

So apparently there were no managers on duty, this fine day in Eagan, where a friend of mine and I decided to do breakfast at Perkins. That being said, Mike (and I’m sure the other servers) did a great job running between server and cashier responsibilities. Breakfast was served as ordered, I can be a bit picky about my hashbrowns, and hot. Also, when we ordered another pot of coffee, there was no lag time which is the usual at most breakfast places including other Perkins.

Met a long time friend there for a catch-​up, how’s the family breakfast. Service was a little slow, food was ok. It was a good location for us to meet. Pretty typical Perkins experience. No $ 5 OJ.

Yay Perkins!!! pretty much the only 24 hour restaurant in Eagan, the food isn’t downright amazing but it’s pretty tasty for a diner. Service is pretty decent, once in a while you’ll get a cranky waitress but for the most part they are all friendly! Oh and their Pie is pretty good too!!!

I ordered the breakfast because I figured that it would be the one thing they could not screw up. They proved me wrong. The restrooms were dirty, the floors were sticky in main area, and the service was terrible. The breakfast was nearly inedible. I would not go to this place again.
