Dunn Bros Coffee

I read the comments and have to say, wow. Depth of character is certainly not a measure of all Unilocalers. Dunn Bros does a fine job of making coffees and treats to eat. They are a great Eagan neighbor; providing coffee at local events, donating to charities, etc. I asked the owner to allow charged tips for his staff and he was initially reluctant, but others asked and he finally did it. This is a place that is dog friendly, too. Not inside, but water bowls are at the door fair weather.
I asked for a pour over once and they said they’d french press instead?, I said fine and they struggled to do it. Baristas change…
If you go and expect good coffee and a nice place to hang; you’ll like it.
My only criticism of Dunn Bros is actually using too much coffee to water and I like a bit of water added via ice.

Jan. of 2016 Update: If I could give this place a 0 Star, or –1 Star, I would do that. Your goon squad harassing my via private messages because I shared an honest review is mildly pathetic. Next one I get I’m asking my attorney to explore obtaining a right to sue letter.

Owner is a d**k-head. Comes from a cosmetic background so he had no idea about how to run a F&B establishment in my opinion.
I’ve seen live and living proof of poor staffing of managerial positions, who then staff low-​quality employees.
Asked me questions about wanting to take it over (buy it from him) if hired, a clear sign that he might regret the purchase /​wants out of the industry. That attitude is going to trickle down and fill the place with people who don’t want to be there.
I’m not advocating for another Dunn Bros, or another coffee shop brand — just wouldn’t want to get coffee from a place where there is a top-​down attitude of not liking the business their in.

Frequently stopped there with friends after school.
Their drinks are good, and it has a great atmosphere. I’ve tried different drinks and desserts every time, and was always satisfied.
Good place for studying.

Okay for a coffee shop. Service is slow, and the espresso tastes like nothing. Ordered a hazelnut latte and all I tasted was steamed milk. Flavor was definitely missing.

Great stop on my way to work and the biscuit sandwiches for breakfast are fantastic!

Update… fixed the dog treat issue… gets another star. Not a huge fan of db offerings but only thing close and the coffee does the job.
recommendation to owner… make the outside seating area more fun… some trees (even if fake) some umbrella lighting etc… if it was a little more inviting would be there all the time in the evening.

Nice Clean Place, Very Nice People, Best Place to study

The food is terrible and the specialty coffees are subpar. I really like the atmosphere of the place I just don’t enjoy what they offer.

I usually have great service but today I drove through and waited at least 5 minutes after giving my order. I could see one employee chatting with a customer all while I waited. Finally gave me a plain latte rather then the vanilla I ordered and no dog treats. All of that would have been okay had I gotten a «thanks for waiting» or «sorry to keep you waiting» but nothing. Disappointed.
