What a great price. I was introduced to Siena(Smithfield location) by a friend of mine a few years ago. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of visiting the East Greenwich location at least twice. Every time I visit its great but this review is specific to my last visit on Saturday 2⁄13. I made reservations via their website and the restaurant called to confirm the day prior. Arrived at restaurant 15 minutes early and our table was already ready and we were immediately seated. Atmosphere is excellent. It was a packed house for Valentines day so a little louder than usual but still quiet enough to have a conversation without screaming. Service was quick and professional. Fantastic prices. a few more bucks than a casual dining restaurant but you’d think it was several times the price. Drinks were fairly priced and made well. Can’t wait to go back.

I am very disappointed! The restaurant was highly recommended and for whatever reason they couldn’t get my order cooked properly. I simply wanted my pork chop cooked a little more than medium. When I sent it back the same pork chop was returned the same way with a little more glaze on it. I expect better from an establishment such as this.

Won’t be back. Wow, Siena, haven’t seen such poor service in a loooong time. Surprisingly, while the food is good, it’s not good enough to make up for the abysmal service my eating partner & I got. It was a weds night, we had no reservations. 5 min before greeted by hostess. Then was told it would be 45 min for a table. We waited patiently by the bar but really just standing bc there was nowhere to sit. Waitress asked if we wanted something to drink. Was given the drink menu but then never came back to take our order! Huh? Why bother? We saw a couple empty tables. Instead of seating us, they went empty. 45 min pass… Still no table. I’m staring at the 4 empty tables in front of me & ask, how about one of those? Nope. Reserved for party. It’ll be another 30min. All we got was a curt insincere«sorry» WHAT?!? Over 1 hr for a table on weekday night? Ridiculous. Your food isn’t that good. And there was no consideration for the customer who was waiting: at better establishments, some attempt is made at making the waiting guest comfortable. Drinks? Snacks? Geez, maybe just start low & offer water! But no. Your service sucks. No wonder you always have to advertise on TV. Those who know go elsewhere Absolute disappointment. I would have returned, brought friends, recommended this place… But nope. I brought my business down the street and found an even better, authentic Italian restaurant La Masseria instead. So good! & the wait? 5 min to our table. I’m going to La Masseria from now on instead

The best thing about Siena is that it is consistent. I have been 4 times with my husband and every time every aspect of our dining experience is perfect. From the second we walk in we are greeted by friendly staff, seated within minutes and water and bread is delivered immediately. The past two times we had Kelsie as our waitress, who is lovely and makes the dining experience even better. We went last night, and ordered a cheese board and caprese salad to start. Both were excellent. My husband had veal chop and I had pollo piccata, pictures attached. The portions are perfect, and we really enjoyed both entrees. Kelsie did well with wine pairing for our meals, so everything couldn’t have tasted any better. Make sure you try their tiramisu, we brought one piece to go last night and it was the best tiramisu I’ve ever had. Thank you Siena for all your hard work, we notice and appreciate all the fine details and love your restaurant !

Our first experience at Siena was at the location on Federal Hill. Having heard multiple people rave about the place, we had such high expectations, but left feeling underwhelmed. After dining at the East Greenwich location, I have completely changed my opinion of this restaurant group. Maybe it was the loud and crowded atmosphere at the FH location that clouded my judgement… Regardless, we had an absolutely lovely dinner this past weekend in EG. Place was packed, and we were pushing our luck without a reservation, but the bar area is nice and roomy to wait in and we both finished a martini before a spot opened up at the bar. I’m so glad we sat here! The two bartenders were phenomenal. Attentive, friendly and not at all frazzled in what was a very busy, fast-paced atmosphere. Food also came surprisingly fast for how crowded it was! Balsamic calamari was crisp and flavorful. My sea bass was magical and my husband’s vodka penne with shrimp was perfectly cooked and creamy. Topped it all off with crème brûlée and left in a food coma. Delish! Will be regulars from now on…

This was really an exceptional experience. Caesar salad, mushroom pizza, and sangria were wonderful. It’s pricey but worth it for a special night out. Can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic funghi pizza! It was a big serving but definitely worth a try! Specifically stopped here last night to check out their East Greenwich location which I thought was cozy and has a romantic ambiance. Definitely recommended for your next Valentine date ;) ordered the Pollo Rosmarino which was cooked to perfection! Chicken was juicy and doesnt have the usual buttery taste compared to other Italian restaurants. Best part of the meal? Apple pudding topped with gelato and caramel sauce! Cant beat that! I had a great time. Service was great too!

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants. This is our go-to spot whenever we have friends visiting from out of town or if we just want to enjoy a delicious meal in a nice restaurant. I definitely recommend making reservations when you go, even for dinner during the week. I have had so many things on their menu, it’s hard to select anything specific to discuss. Their menu does change slightly depending on the season, another thing I like about this restaurant because I feel like I can always try something new. I do love ordering the meat and cheese platters with their specials on them. My husband also loves their truffle fries — he always orders a side of them, no matter what. I always find the staff to be extremely friendly and the waiters to be knowledgeable on the menu. I also see the same employees working there, which is a such a good sign. There is loyalty in their staff and their customers.

This place is amazing. I recommend making a reservation. We went on a Tuesday, had a reservations, and we’re so glad we did. This place is so good that it was packed on a Tuesday. The wait staff and the owner bent over backwards to make sure we were pleased. The food was delicious. Amazingly good. We don’t go out often, and like to try new places when we do. But, we will be back to Siena the next time we go out. That’s how good it is. This place is a must try if you’re ever in the area.

My fiancé and I love Siena! We live right down the street from the EG location and just recently fell upon their wonderful food. It’s amazing! My favorite dish — that I literally dream about — is their honey chicken with risotto and green beans. The flavor is amazing! My fiancé loves the pasta fagioli soup. It’s so yummy. You definitely must go! You will not be disappointed!

Wow!!! Believe it or not I’ve lived in Rhode Island for five years and never dined here! I know, I’m a foodie and it’s on everyone’s list as one of the best. I visited recently and was blown away. The starter platter with olives, cheese, nuts and prosciutto was spectacular! For entrees my wife had Branzino with Sea Scollops and I had the Cippino! She loved hers and I must say my seafood in a slightly spicy tomato broth was outstanding. There was lobster, mussels, clams, shrimp, swordfish, calamari and scallops. It sat on on tasty crostini and was top by crunchy onion strings. It was a visual and culinary feast(see photo). We had no room for dessert but will come back and try! Service was impeccable; as good as any 5-star restaurant I’ve ever dined in!!! I highly recommend Siena!

We eat at Siena EG quite often. It is my favorite restaurant. Lately we try and eat at the bar instead of at a table. It’s fun and not so serious as sitting in the dining areas. The hostesses, bartenders, and wait staff have always been wonderful. No complaints. Quite often, Karen will buy a round of drinks for us on the house. I can remember only one time that my meal was not up to par. Other than that, the food is five star. Love this restaurant and so has everyone I have taken there.

This place will never let me down with their amazing food. I had the shrimp pasta that night with red wine Jlor Cab. Also has the calamari with balsamic and bananas peppers. My handsome date(boyfriend) had the steak with some crab topping! I’m not really sure but it was very good. Always call before you head in!

This is the place we have gone to for our anniversary for the past few years and there are many reasons why. We started out with the Firenze tasting board which has prosciutto ham, castelvetrano olives and Parmigiana-Reggiano cheese. Tasting boards can be personalized by picking a cured meat, an olive and a cheese. The tasting board came with fig jam, garlic toast and candied walnuts. Good sized appetizer for two. My wife had the Aragosta Ciopino which is a seafood stew in a spicy broth: Lobster, shrimp, little neck clams, mussels, sea scallops and calamari. She’s had this more than once so it must be good. I had my fill with the tasting board so I just had a salad. I ordered the Inverno which had mixed greens, dried dates, cranberries and Gorgonzola cheese. Its topped with Parmigiana-Reggiano cheese, candied walnuts and cranberry vinaigrette dressing. An awesome insalate.

I had the pleasure to dine at Siena Saturday Jan 24. In spite of a semi snowy evening the restaurant was packed which is always a good sign. Rhode Island really has some terrific restaurants and Siena is one of them. I was able to enjoy a table at the window with my guy which was cozy in spite of the busy atmosphere. The carnivore in me drew me to the filet mignon special which was served with some hot peppers which was novel and so delicious. The steak was cooked absolutely perfect and was melt in the mouth tender. My guy had the rigatoni special which was also wonderful. The managers special Pinot noir was a wonderful addition to the meal. We did indulge in dessert and coffee to end a wonderful meal. Looking forward to returning soon for another great evening. Keep up the good work!

I live in Providence and have always wanted to visit Siena on Atwells Ave. but that street gets so jammed! So close, but never went. My uncles birthday dinner ended up being at the East Greenwich Siena. Yay I made it! We sat at the bar and our bartender Rachel was very nice. She knew all the wines and answered all our questions. We were going to try the restaurant week menu but their full menu looked even better. We tried the crab cakes first, yum. I wish I had more of that remoulade sauce. I had the beef short rib with no bone actually. They gave me a monsterous knife,(should have snapped a picture) and I didnt even touch it, I could have eaten with a spoon, it was heavenly. I opted out of the parmesan risotto, I never can eat it all, instead I had roasted reds and the freshest string beans ever. They were thin and sweet I could have eaten 20 more of those :) My uncle tried the veal scallopini with porcini mushrooms. He said the flour could have been cooked out and browned little more so it made the dish a bit mushy but he liked it. Thats the only aspect of the meal that he can say anything about and he still ate it all lol We tried the chocolate bread pudding with toffee drizzle with a glass of port on the side. Theres nothing like chocolate and a glass of the good 20yr old stuff. Great birthday dinner! I cant wait til someone asks me where I want to go for dinner. I already know what Ill say…
