Inside Duke Eye Center — no doctor here (not sure why the others talk about wait times?) — only glasses at this shop. Great/​knowledgeable staff!

Awful wait times… what could have been a 20 minute visit was dragged out for 4 hours! The waiting room was empty, so not sure what the hold up was… the most frustrating and unprofessional eye doctor visit! Duke needs to seriously address their wait time issues. They need to take notes from Johns Hopkins, where I previously was a student and patient. Fantastic, five star patient experience — professional, courteous, fas, and competent.

Seriously one of the longest waits I have ever had at a doctor’s appointment. Appointment was scheduled for 3:00, at 3:30 I met a nurse for prelims, at 4:20 I was called back into a room, but by 4:50 I still haven’t seen the doctor. Last visit was longer and resulted in me being prescribed an eyedrop without a generic available ($ 107 after insurance!). Find somewhere else!

Appointments mean absolutely nothing at duke eye center. Expect super long waits at check in and waiting to see a doctor, even if it’s an emergency. Bring lunch.
