very unhappy with them. they sold some items and that went okay, but they gave me the runaround on an item that I had specifically indicated that I would take no less than $ 75 for. Many problems trying to schedule a time to pick it up and then finally got a notice that they were just going to buy the item from me – supposedly to make it easier for me. Then, they didn’t pay me for it. After several complaints, they paid me only part of my minimum price. Multiple attempts to talk to someone about it with no success. Like others, I really liked the concept, but they are not on the up and up, I’m afraid. Yikes.

I had a great experience with MoveLoot. I purchased a small sofa and when it arrived it was just as described… only nicer! The couch was very well made and had been well cared for. The movers came when I was told to expect them. I was very pleased with my MoveLoot experience and will do business with them again.

Bought a barrister bookcase thinking, «Hey, this won’t be a horrible experience.» But it was! The bookcase was listed as solid wood – it wasn’t – and the shelves were bowed, making it essentially unusable as the glass doors couldn’t slide underneath the shelf to open. So the delivery and return were okay, even if I wasn’t happy that the bookcase description was a lie. But nearly a month later, they’ve not refunded my money. So I’ve had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Move Loot sucks out loud.

The good– Movers were nice, efficient and on time. Furniture was purchased at a reasonable price the bad– Delivery date was changed on us with very short notice even though we had set the date several weeks in advance. Emailed customer support 2+weeks ago and never heard a response. Both pieces we purchased had damage that was not noted in the item description or photographed. Making an offer seems pointless, it is always rejected.

I have purchased from them twice now, the first time was great. I got a great table for a really awesome price. The delivery was easy and convenient. If I had problems I emailed their customer service email to change some things in my order and got a fast response. UPDATE: They were not able to email me back because they jus to opened two new markets and the customer service email was on overload and should be fixed soon. So hang in there! They were so helpful with me in helping out. Definitely will continue to use them! The second time I ordered from them I placed my order but have been trying to change my delivery/pick up for over 3 days now and no one is responding. I tried calling the phone number I found on this website( Unilocal) but no one answered I left a voicemail. I’m getting frustrated at this point. But I still think they are doing a good job. But something has happened in the 2 – 3 weeks I last purchased from the Raleigh-Durham location and its saddening that its not going well right now. Overall they are good and a great company and my first delivery was fantastic, can’t wait for the second one!

I really want to like them The concept is great. The execution not so much. They picked up 2 pieces from me over 3 weeks ago. My chaise lounge was up on their site the next day. Only to be taken down the following day with no notice to me. All communications since then have been that they need to rephoto the item. My dining room table shows sold last week. Again I’ve heard nothing from them. All emails are responding with a standard. «We are working on it.» The latest email went as far as «to be transparent we are very busy and not sure how long it will take us to respond.» They need to fix their operations if they want to be successful. AND understand customer service! Would not recommend for selling items to them. Had a response to this review 2 months after I posted it from the owner. I responded to her over 2 weeks ago. Never heard back. I keep seeing where they are expanding. I think you need to work on fixing what you already have in place. It’s a broken business plan at this time. Do not recommend.

1. My delivery time was changed on me. I chose 9am-12pm and the time was changed to 1:30 — 2:30. That made me miss already scheduled plans. Why allow me to pick a delivery window then change it outside that timeframe? 2. My piece was slightly damaged in delivery. There were holes through the plastic wrap and then scrapes on the furniture right in those spots. In ~6 places! This is not acceptable. 3. I ordered a cabinet with 3 glass shelves… but it is missing shelves. Where are they? It doesn’t do me much good without the shelves and I would not have bought it if the ad had not stated they were there. I have left voicemails and emailed multiple times, without reply. This is not the way to run a business.

Very happy with the dresser I got from MoveLoot! It was exactly as described on the websites. All my questions via email was replied very quickly. Delivery team is spot-on about the time, carried it up two flights of stairs and into my bedroom. Can’t be happier, too bad Move Loot wasn’t around when I first moved to Durham. Price can be slightly more expensive, but they offer delivery(free if you buy $ 100). Once in a while they have coupons, it’s a super deal!
