Cool Theater«Screening Facility» on the edge of the Downtown Durham Warehouse District«American Tobacco Campus» Refurbished Power Plant as well as everything else in the Neighborhood looks Fantastik! Duke University began a Master of Fine Arts in Experimental and Documentary Arts about two years ago, though I’m not sure if they Own this Theater, it seems they have STRONG ties! Don’t expect to see the newest«POP» Sequel(9th Edition) Though I’m hoping for an exclusive(Triangle) Premier of the Re-Make of the 2008(French) Film«Martyrs» [also hoping to find out about it before all the tickets are gone(it was my idea [I’m guessing])! I think the Theater is available to be rented certain times, so my dreams can come true! Theater and Gallery AND Display of Power Plant HARDWARE! The Power Plant generator is in the Lobby and seeing my photos is NOT as good as seeing it in person… Looks like something out of a Movie! Theater This is called a Documentary Theater who seems to feature regional Directors of Short Films… Except, I assume they have all the funding they need(I could be wrong) «They» should really USE this Facility to its Potential(as long as they do not risk ruining it) [sounds like I contradicted myself, maybe I did] Gallery Simple medium/small Industrial space for some Cool Exhibitions… Enter through the Theater Lobby then turn right and walk between the Huge Generator and the See-Through Elevator Equipment HEAVY Equipment! Glad to see I was not the only one in awe of this Maschinery ! Nice! So Masculine! So glad they kept it, though I imagine it would be quite a task to remove it and if they ever do I hope someone contacts me! I want a piece of that!!! Made me imagine a Horror Film, or Science Fiction, maybe«Metropolis» or a very good Musik Video like«Stripped» Rammstein Version or like a character in Movie Haute Tension(the Van on a much Larger scale)…“Snowpiercer” also came to mind! Love Note : Find out about the Film Festival(s) Take a Date or a Guy Admire the Maschinery Why is the Sonne rund and other Questions Winner«Coolest Theater» Triangle RodO Awards Finalist«Most Unique Venue in the South East RodO Awards
