Sent the following email to Doughworks and did not even receive a reply: I’ve been buying bagels by the dozen at Doughworks for almost 2 years and noticed the lack of consistent quality. Sometimes they are normal bagel size but other times they are flat and about ½ the normal thickness. But the worst occurred last week when I ordered 2 dozen bagels to be picked late morning. When I got them home I was amazed to see: 1. they were white as flour rather than the normal light brown look 2. they are very soft, nothing like the density they normally are 3. the cinnamon/raisin lack the normal cinnamon flavor and the raisins are few and far between(the first bagel I ate had just one raisin) Very disappointing since I live 10 miles past Mancos and can’t get to Durango very often otherwise I would have brought the bagels back to you. Not wanting an 80 mile round-trip when the problem is not my fault

I’m an avid customer of doughworks and everything is super awesome! The only problem I have is the employees. They cannot listen for the life of them. I come in and ask for a gluten free burrito all the time, yet my wife has gotten sick multiple times from it not being gluten free. When I say«gluten free please» 4 fucking times, I expect to get one… Especially if I’m paying for it.

My husband’s rosemary bagel was seriously phenomenal. I ordered a sesame seed bagel that was SO dense I could only eat a quarter of it. It didn’t sit right with me and I couldn’t eat another meal for about 5 hours because I was still so full. I think something might be off there.

Another wanna be hip breakfast /lunch joint, FAIL ! Party of 4 for Sat. morning, wait wasn’t bad. Only the attitudes of everyone that worked here that we came in touch with. People it’s only 2 hours into your shift clearly not far enough in to have that shxt attitude. Menu is standard fare add %25-%30 to the price. Meat lovers omelet, good name just very little meat. Maybe 1 slice bacon crumbled teaspoon sausage 3 – 4 chunks of ham and oh plenty of onions, maybe 1 whole coarsely chopped. the omelet was way overdone brown crispy half soled. Wife ordered carne asada breakfast burrito. What a joke. Think Arby’s roast beef stir fried with again a whole onion bell pepper and cheese and a tad of egg. Right SICKENING. Up until this the only carne asada I’ve seen was steak. She ate 2 bites and that was too much to stomach. MinL orders plain jane scramble NOCHEESE with chorizo. Comes out with ham and half pound of bright cheddar cheese, really? FinL orders miners breakfast, stir fried break potatoes teaspoon each of ham and bacon and a whole onion topped with cheese and 2 half soled eggs and a pancake on the side. His comes out no pancake. Mind you waitress who had to position herself differently around the table to take the orders to make sure they were delivered to the correct person, was no where to be found. Our meal delivered by a bus all of these problems we are trying to describe to a 16 year old who would much rather be home jcng off to sears we wait literally 8 minutes until the waitress comes to sort all this out. Smoke break I guess. Min L sent back, FinL Not eating waiting for pancake, she offers nothing ie; remake your breakfast, wifes, Oh the arby’s is how we always make it, no offer would you like something else. This place is a disgrace to anything resembling a food service establishment. I wouldn’t return here on a bet. Our server needs a tip, find a new profession. Long winded here ONLY when I’m Mad…

I would gave them a 4 but the service is lousy and slow. Food is good. I got the miners breakfast.

Only getting two stars because counter service was good. The casher was very nice. However, the worst breakfast burritos ever. One coffee, one soda, two burritos and 20 dollars later. The worst. If you are expecting traditional burritos, do not stop here. Terrible chili, soggy tortilla and not a very good selection. Can’t comment about the rest of menu. My advice is to stay away from the breackfast burritos.

At there twice. Both times sick two hours later. I have been hearing the same story around town quite a bit and it’s the breakfast burrito every time. I personally think they use that imitation butter(whirl) cause that’s what I kept tasting while puking my brains out!

When someone comes in to grab a ready made burrito and a self serve coffee, don’t ask if they would like to tip all their change(equaling well over a dollar) because it is rude. So rude.

I really wanted this place to be good, but it is pure chaos. The hostess is frazzled and the waitress is nowhere to be found. We were seated within 15 minutes, but the wait for the waitress to show up was longer and the wait for our food was longer than that! This is an all day affair at this point. The food is ok, at best, and definitely not worth the wait. It is a good thing they have the option to grab-and-go because that is the only way I’d consider eating here again. Save your time and head somewhere else.

Durango, Colorado– I started with a soy chai tea latte and it was among the best I’ve had. I ordered a custom veggie scramble and sides of fruit and home fries. The honeydew, cantaloupe, pineapple, and grapes that were brought before my meal were juicy and flavorful. The pile of scramble was enough for three servings. The portion was huge. It was your average scramble outside of the size. The home fries were great and the service gets two thumbs up.

In general it’s hard to find a good place for breakfast in Durango where you can sit down, have good service and good food. Dough works has fabulous breakfast burritos and in general their food is really good. It’s all the other stuff that goes into running a restaurant that isn’t up to pare. There’s no waiting area of you want to sit in the dining room. Their coffee cups were incredibly dirty and stained. We waited a long time to get coffee, we had no creamer and when we asked for more coffee it was an even longer wait. We want coffee! We spent a lot of time waiting, in general: waiting for gravy, waiting for coffee, waiting for creamer. For a place that is famous for their breakfast burritos, and for a place that has such a great clientele, you’d think they’d have the wait staff to support their booming business. We were very disappointed.

Love it! Went New Year’s Day. I had a Mediteranean Omelete with avocado. I especially appreciated they didn’t skimp on that. Good portions. Service was prompt and attentive. I will definitely go back.

My husband took me to this cute little place for my birthday brunch. There were some great reviews, and we figured why not. I will say that all the food had fresh ingredients. The coffee smelled delicious. Since it was my birthday I decided to indulge and have hot chocolate. Unfortunately, it was not very good. I decided my birthday breakfast would be an omelette. The three-egg description is deceiving, it is probably actually a cup and a half of egg beaters. I should have opted for the egg white option. I had a side of bacon that was so crisp and delicious. My husband built his own burrito, which he finished. He’s a big eater and the«small» burrito was plenty. Our waitress was not very friendly, however, a woman behind the doughnut counter brought me a cute and tasty chocolate doughnut with a candle. I think this would be the perfect spot to pop in for coffee and a doughnut, but the breakfast wasn’t anything that exciting. My husband said that he had stopped there on the way to the mountain, which I think would be a much better option than a fast food place.

Covers all the bases. Awesome, busy, and clean. Boars head deli. Breakfast burritos. Bagels abound. You like caffeine? Doughworks can hook you up.

Consistency is the issue. I went here for breakfast and had a great meal, biscuits and gravy, yum! A few days later I came in for lunch, chorizo breakfast burrito, meh. Different chef? Unlucky menu choice? Donuts and coffee are always good though! Unlike what others have reported, service has always been gay and friendly.

My husbands absolute favorite food is a donut. He ordered a cream filled Bismarck and declared that it was one of the best donuts he has ever had. This is huge coming from him! I was thrilled to find a tasty(and flavorful!) gluten free bagel for myself!

It’s great when they’re great and sucks when they are completely dropping the ball. Unfortunately, I have experienced more of the latter with this place. Service can be downright awful and food preparation can completely miss the mark. I recently had their meat breakfast burrito and it was a sopping wet mess of uncooked egg and watery potatoes. Donuts are boring, standard donuttery fare. You can get similar in a grocery store.

This restaurant is so good. I love the fact that they have«to go» items available right when you walk in. This is an excellent option when the dining room is busy. The food is delicious. Ive had breakfast burritos as well as the omelets and both times I was completely stuffed. The prices are reasonable, the service is quick, the restrooms are clean.
