Good and fast service, generic Americanized Chinese food, really cheap price. Food served hot and fresh, nothing to complain except it is not authentic Chinese food.

Ok so don’t judge this place by the outside. Or do, but be gentle in judgement because it looks like just a corner Chinese restaurant. And maybe it is, but it’s an awesome corner Chinese restaurant. They only have a couple of tables and booths when you go inside and I think they are more of a delivery/to-go place. However, for the prices, the food was pretty great. I do disclaim that I sat in house and ate, and that’s different from bringing your food home because it’s fresh and right there and warm and that added to the amazing taste. We got steamed chicken dumplings which were awesome, sesame chicken with egg fried rice, and chicken/shrimp broccoli with white rice. The sesame chicken was warm and not too overcooked like a lot of places. The chicken/shrimp broccoli was addicitive. The white rice was great, but I didn’t like the egg fried rice. It came with wonton soup but we were way too full to even try it. Also, we had leftovers for daysssss. So for the price, the value is really good. Service is really friendly.

Good food, reasonable prices, generous portions and clean restaurant. If they delivered, my life would be complete.

Eastern China taste opened in Dunwoody Village in the old Blimpy location. It is very modest inside with a couple of tables and counter ordering. I personally find this place perfect for take out. First thing I notice when I enter is the restaurant is very clean and a 99 inspection score shows that to be very true! I always get take out for lunch and the portions are very generous and taste very good. Also they have lunch specials on saturday and sunday which is GREAT. When I order they very kindly accept my special requests. More mushrooms and water chestnuts make my great meal even better. Also very quick, I live around 2 miles away and I call and order and get in the car and go right to the restaurant and when I arrive the food is usually waiting on me, hot and ready to go. Price is very reasonable as $ 8 gets me a great big bag of food!

WOW! This place is outstanding. Very nice staff, clean, well managed. Small lobby with ample table seating and great company I can’t WAIT to come here again. Extremely large portions of food! Phenomenal staff. Highly recommended.

I will never eat at this place again, I get so frustrated. There customer service really sucks, its the tone that they have. I ordered fried rice and the lady gave me brown rice, and gets upset because she was wrong. I don’t suggest anyone to ever eat at this place with there poor customer service.

Thank you, Unilocalers, for recommending this place. It is wonderful. We live close by, but never tried it — until I Unilocaled and saw the ratings and read the reviews. We decided to give it a try, and we really enjoyed it. Our first visit was Thursday and we just had Sunday night take-out. BTW — their health rating is posted above the counter, and it’s 99. We didn’t know what to expect on our first visit and went for sit-down Chinese. There are only a few tables, and there was a faded menu sign above the counter. We would have left except for the Unilocal reviews. The cashier gave us a full menu and it was extensive. We realized that, while you can eat there, it’s primarily a take-out place. Now I understand all the reviews saying they wished ECT delivered, but I prefer to pick up because I know it will be hot and they can hold down their price point. Their concept is high quality, fresh food at an affordable price, with little investment in ambiance or service.(the hot tea is in a pump thermos in the corner).

I’ve tried this place twice now. I’m amazed at the lack of good food in this area considering how many people live, work and travel through Dunwoody. Unfortunately, this place is no different than most of the others. The egg rolls are way overcooked to the point of being burned. The fried rice is okay, but the dehydrated peas and the bean sprouts overpower the taste and it’s just too greasy and plain otherwise. The sweet and sour chicken is standard, breaded and overfried with small bits of chicken and lots of breading. My search for decent Chinese food(or any decent food) continues. I’m sad that I can’t find a single stand out in this sea of restaurants.

My new favorite Chinese place in the area, which we discovered through Unilocal.Love when that happens! Our go-to place has become mediocre. The food is always hit or miss but we stuck with it out of laziness and not doing our part to find something we might enjoy more. Enter Eastern China Taste. Deeeelicious! Their food always hits the spot. It’s always been fresh when and the the flavors are great. Their meat, whether it’s pork, chicken, shrimp or beef, doesn’t taste weird or rubbery, like I sometimes think most Chinese places do. I also like that they have egg fried rice as an option. Their egg drop soup is on point and the noodle dish selections are noteworthy. This is now our regular Chinese spot! Thanks, Unilocal

I ordered lunch. The beef tasted pretty good. But they put my beef dish on top of the fried rice in a bowl. That’s gross. The fried rice was swimming in the sodium loaded sauce. So unhealthy. I ate half my beef & veges and tossed all the fried rice in the trash. Chinese people should try to change the way they feed us or Chinese food will never regain the popularity they once had in the U.S.

Very decent, my favorite dish from any Chinese restaurant is Triple Delight, has been for 15+ years, and I like theirs. My sister tried Egg Foo Young for the first time here and now she’s a fan of the dish. It may take her a while to see each restaurant’s is different and she’ll resort getting here only if others don’t measure up.

Good quality with the hood price! I’ve finally found amazing Chinese food in my area that’s cheap! The portions will last you a few days depending on what you order. I had the general tso chicken with pork fried rice and it was less than $ 8 for dinner. Can’t be mad at that!

Good food at a great price. Easy in and out. If it is lunchtime call ahead or order it to go. The seating is limited and is usually full at lunch.

Good food and good portions. The best thing about this place is that they offer two portion sizes, small and large. You can have a variety without too much left-overs. The downside is that small portion also comes with a smaller portion of rice :-)

Orange chicken is my go-to with steamed tice. Their fried dumplings are big and tasty. House lo mein noodles are thick, not stringy ramen like. I’m a regular!

There is no way this is a 4-star dining experience, a three at best. A co-worker and I drove over to try it out based on the Unilocal 4-star reviews. Perhaps without high expectations this would have been ok. Eastern China Taste is small, explaining why the Unilocal reviews consistently refer to it as a takeout place. There is also zero ambiance, so you don’t feel particularly inclined to want to stay and eat your food there. I ordered Hot and Sour Soup, but I think they gave me Egg Drop — even though it was a generous portion, it was nasty smelling and tasting. My Mongolian Beef on Egg Fried Rice was satisfactory, even though it was greasy and salty. I think this place is somewhere you end up, not someplace you plan on going to when you have other options.

ECT is my go-to Chinese food takeout spot. Located in the Publix shopping center on Chamblee Dunwoody Rd., ECT has a few booths, but it is primary a carry out place. I do sometimes come for lunch and order a large chicken rice soup. For about $ 5, the large soup contains a generous portion of chicken and fills me up. Meals are offered as either small(serves 1 – 2) or large(serves 3 – 4). A small dish and a soup constitutes a hearty meal for around $ 10. The food is well seasoned and the portions are generous. I have never had a bad meal here. If you are looking for generous portions of tasty, American style Chinese food, ECT is a can’t miss.

Discovering places like this is why I love my Unilocal community! I would have never tried them had people not left honest reviews of this place. So glad I gave them a try. I went to Publix in search of food and Gatorade when I pulled into the parking lot and noticed this place. I’ve been to this Publix a million times and never noticed it before. I was torn whether or not to try them but when I read the Unilocal reviews I went in and gave them a try. First off, this place is clean. Super clean. They have a 96 on their food rating and you can look back into the kitchen and see inside. No food sitting around, super shiny stainless steel appliance. So far, a good sign. The staff is very friendly and they are open until 10:30 on Friday and Saturday night. I ordered the General Tso chicken with an egg roll. The egg roll was just okay-left something to be desired. When I tasted the fried rice I was surprised. I was expecting bland and under or over cooked but I have to admit this stuff isn’t bad! The general’s chicken is okay too. Not overly spicy if you’re sensitive to heat, not overly sweet, and enough flavor to keep it from being bland. For a quickie Chinese food restaurant I’m not mad! I will be sure to go back again and try something different to explore the menu.
