Briar Rose Creamery

Enjoyed finding this little gem on a wine tasting trip. I love chevre and they have the best. I loved the herb one and the chocolate chevre truffles were so good. The tasting is free and they make everything right there.

Let me create a little scenario for you:
You are wine tasting in the Dundee Hills. But after hours of red wine/​white wine/​cracker/​red wine, tasting something other than winery goodness sounds pretty appealing at the moment. Enter: Briary Rose Creamery.
You may have run into their cheeses at the Red Hills Market in Dundee or other local markets in Portlandor Farmers Markets in the area. I even heard that Ox uses a Briar Rose product on one of their dishes.
They are exclusively a chevre product and run all their production through their little shop in Dundee. And — they offer a free tasting! You get to sample at least 4 different kinds of cheese and they have some product for sale (including chocolate chevre truffles… a-​MAH-​zing). My favorite product was the Chipotle Chevre. They apologized because that particular batch had apparently gotten particularly spicy, but I cherished that creamy burn. So tasty! They also offer aged goat cheese products as well.
And did I mention it was free? Did I mention it was cheese? Seriously, go now.
