Poor quality of service. Salsa was watered down and chips were stale. Waiter confused order and was inattentive. Avoid because you will leave disappointed.

Let me say, first that I’m no expert on Mexican or tex mex food. But if you’re on the road and want an ICE cold beer(20 oz served in mugs out of freezer) and watch some sports while eating way too much great tasting food with quality serving staff, then you gotta try Los Lupes. I had the Mocajete which could have easily fed 3 people if you spring for extra tortillas. It’s pretty much a steak, shrimp, and chicken fajita setup with charro beans and grilled cactus with all the standard stuff as well(pico, sour cream, rice, gauc, etc). Would return without question and maybe give the bartender my sister’s #. He was that awesome.

I wish i could give it 0 stars. The food is no good. The cheese we ordered was lumpy and so watered down. The whole place has an older and dirty look. The day we went it smelled like piss. Avoid!

More like TexMex and not Mexican. Love the caldo(or beef soup). Tacos de carne are ok, not the best. Lunch specials make up for everything else. Havent really found a good Mexican place in the outskirts of Dallas. If it werent for the price I would give it a five star instead of 4. Some food could be better but I always get my caldo with lots of veggies.

Looking for local casual and affordable Mexican Food then you won’t be disappointed. Not many restaurants in the are but this is a local stop that is worth trying if you are nearby. This is not Tex Mex which is a nice relief for an ex-California girl.

Worst mexican food ever. resisting the urge to gag from the first bite .i suffered through. ordered queso with beef. tasted awful better queso can be purchased at walmart. The queso was really runny. Gordita was drenched in grease. Rice and beef was only good part. Left feeling sick and not feeling like i got my money worth.

Try the pechuga de pollo is it grilled on a skillet with rice Pico de gallo and beans which I prefer charro beans. Margaritas are $ 2.50 perfect and service very friendly. And the beast is grilled with melted chess and mushrooms mmhh.

it was like processed cheez whiz gone bad. I’m not sure what Mexican place would serve this. Plus, their«seasoned» chicken for the spicey chicken nachos was more like ground up chicken with refried beans with melted greasy cheddar cheese… not to my liking. But maybe you’ll have better experience. I did feel bad for the waiter because it isn’t his fault and they were nice so I left him a huge tip but the food was horrendous.

Ate breakfast here this morning. Place could use some new lighting, maybe a redecorate strategy, but the breakfast tacos were as I remembered them… awesome. Well executed, good portion size, good flavor, and good salsa. One other critique, I wish they had fresh chips made in house, or just better chips. Overall though, a good place for breakfast.

The homeade tortilla stand in the dining room was promising as we walked in but found out its only the corn not the flour. The lady in the tortilla station was pulling them from a package and heating them up. The queso tasted like it had chicken broth and was very thick did not have much of a cheese flavor. We ordered fajitas with chicken that dry and obviously cooked ahead of time and the beef was chewy. The décor was nice but the food left something to be desired.

Food was awful. Old stale chips with salsa. Chicken flautas have very little chicken in them. Dirty tables and floors.

This used to be an old Pizza Inn. If you’re looking for a trendy place don’t come here. We came here for breakfast. Ordered the machacado and some tacos. We asked for creamer with our coffee and they brought out some powder packets of creamer. It has been a long time since we’ve seen that and thought that we are spoiled for expecting liquid creamer. That stuff belongs at a mechanic shop, not a restaurant. We got milk and the coffee still tastes pretty good. The service is ok. What can you expect at a mexican restaurant on a weekday? It was good service. As for the food… it is average. Nothing special but it is decent for the price.

I order $ 60 worth of queso and salsa for a party…10 bowls of queso, 4 of salsa. When I called I asked if chips came with it or if I had to pay extra. They said they come with it. So I’m thinking good… one less thing I have to buy. They gave me ONE bag(not even a big bag) of chips. I complained and they gave me another small one… really??? I was so annoyed I had to go buy 8 more bags at Kroger. I won’t be bringing my business back here. My family used to eat here a lot also. Not necessarily cause it was delicious but because it was close and the prices were decent. The food is okay.

It’s been sometime since I have been here, the salsa, queso are different in a bad way the Charro beans taste cumin, chips have changed, my main entrée well enough said, won’t be back.

First of all, you should never have to get your own beer fro the bar, waiter wanted to flirt with bar lady instead of serving us. Margarita taste like 7 – 11 slurpees, boring to taste. Draft beer was good. Chips and salsa was good. Fish tacos were not bad either. The quail was decent, not sure why you need tortillas for the quail. Beans were boring and the rice was room temperature. The spinach enchiladas, well they were bad. I cant even describe them. The reason we tried them was the coupon and the happy hour. Also, I thought all restaurants were smoke free? Sorry, we wont be back.

I would rate with no stars, but Unilocal won’t let you. Absolutely disgusting! Wouldn’t feed it to my dog.

Me and my family have been coming here since Los Lupes bought this old pizza place probably 20 plus years. Chips and salsa are the best I have ever had. Food is hit and miss sometimes great sometimes so so. Service can be sketchy also. Still always come here all the managers know us been long time customers. Happy hour food prices are the bomb! Cheap beer but watch out for shots and mixed drinks too high. Lifelong customer for sure!

Amazing Dinner! Amazing drinks! The band was great. This plas has better authentic mexican the most places i’ve eaten. My friend and i took our kids. It was very kid friendly, we all had a great time. The décor was great. the waiter was awsome, always checked on us in good time. The owner was awsome, came by and checked and made sure everything was going great. I would say #1 place to eat!

It’s Ok, nothing to write home to my parents about. Everything overall is decent. The thing that is a draw back for me is the décor and how outdated the restaurant is. I like the one in Cedar Hill best!

Great food, okay service. Came for lunch on Friday because it was recommended by coworkers. The chips were okay and the salsa was watery(poor first impression!). I ordered the tacos al carbon, and the beef was DELICIOUS. I will probably be back just for the beef. Coworker got the lunch buffet($ 6.50 what a deal), and another got beef fajitas(she LOVED as well). Order the beef! I’ll be back :) Menu items were a little high for me, but for their beef I’d pay it. They were definitely overstaffed and they didn’t really smile… staff needs work!
