This place is a blast from the past. The cashier said they’ve been around since the ‘50s and it has that feel to it. Its charming and welcoming. This is a fun place to stop by, whether you are looking to buy nostalgic toys, or you need fabric for quilting, medicines, old fashion sodas and candies, home décor, or even for a bite to eat at the deli, this is defiantly a cool place to go to. It really feels like what I imagine an old pharmacy/soda fountain shop was like 60 years ago.

First visit here. The lay out is strange. I thought this was supposed to be a pharmacy and it is… sort of. It just doesn’t look like a modern pharmacy. They sell tea pots, kitchen and garden items. They also have sewing center where they have plenty of material to chose from. I think they stock more odds and ends than they do pharmacy items. The pharmacy area is smaller than the other areas in the store. They do have a bit of everything. It’s just that they only have a few of each item. They have a very well developed area for diabetics. I am floored by the options. It’s really the best I’ve seen. They carry diabetic shoes that are stylish. Plenty of support hoses, meters and so much more. I passed on trying the food. They are the only place in town that sell a sitz bath. I went to CVS, Walmart(barf) and Walgreens. I’ll be back to peruse the merchandise and try the food. So far I like a lot. 4 stars because they have items that are hard to find and a well stocked area for diabetics.

A perfect place to visit! Great food and a quaint shop! I love popping in here for a quick lunch(try the chicken salad– you won’t be disappointed!). It’s also the first place I stop by if looking for a little present for a friend.

I love Ben Franklin’s. It is such an awesomely cute place and even better, it is independently owned. Ben Franklin’s is a great apothecary that is like a step back in time. You have the old school soda fountain, a great lunch counter and the gift store is super, super cute with great gifts off the beaten path that hearken back to the 50’s(and as a rockabilly lovin’ gal, that is right up my alley). Even cooler, the actually have an awesome pharmacy that takes like 95% of insurance companies out there and if you’re like me and don’t have insurance currently, the prices are pretty competitive. The other great thing about Ben Franklin’s is that the do have a lot of modern features like home delivery for meds and they will even delivery items needed for breathing and etc 24-hours a day if you just came from the hospital and most can be ordered online. After my experience with Ben Franklin’s I’m seriously considering transferring all of my prescriptions there. The thought of supporting a long time local business while sipping Root Beer Floats at a soda fountain while I wait is just too tempting. :)

Wow! This place is like a step back in time. It has a soda fountain and serves tasty lunches. The store is packed with really neat gifts as well as home made fudge! Also has a nice sewing room with fabric and accessories. They will finish a quilt for you and offer classes. So much more than I have room to tell. Very unique place and worth the trip.
