I stopped in at White Windmill with my boyfriend when we were visiting from out of town. The various breads, cookies, and treats are similar to those sold at other Korean bakeries, but the ones in VA taste better. That’s the biggest reason for my rating. The actual bakery is nice — there’s plenty of seating, wifi, and I saw lots of people with laptops and also people in small groups talking over coffee and dessert. It seems like a good place to hang out for awhile to talk in.

I visited White Windmill for the first time today to buy a birthday cake. The birthday cake I bought was some sort of a combination fruit cream cake. I usually prefer to buy cakes from Asian bakeries, since Walmart/Publix cakes are usually covered in heavy cream and sugar. The cake was light but still delicious. It looks like they also have some other assorted breads and pastries to choose from, but I didn’t really have time to browse. Overall, pretty satisfactory experience.

OMG! I was visiting my cousin and killing time in the neighborhood and wanted to get some breakfast. She took us here and I did not want to leave! The design of the bakery and the cuteness was just amazing. They had so many options of bakery food products and then you could sample them!!! Can I hear heaven calling down on me??? I so wish they had this franchise in Dallas or NOLA. I bought so much bread it was ridiculous…

This is a smaller White Windmill Bakery that has decent baked goods and pastries about. It doesn’t have the most amazing options as I’ve seen other places with better pastries but it’s definitely worth going to study, have coffee, or just chat with someone. It didn’t seem too busy at the time, but there didn’t seem to be as much stock as other White Windmills I’ve been to.

Great place to come and talk or study. It’s big enough that even if there’s a loud group, you can her a table elsewhere that’ll be relatively quiet. A great study spot if you’re in the area n boycotting the Starbucks on satellite ;) Best thing about this place is the mood and free wifi. Worst thing is their coffee. I’ve tried both the regular and kahlua blend — both tasted watery n just not enjoyable. Food-wise, most of the pastries are decent and in the $ 2 – 5 range. My favorite one was recommended by an employee when I stopped by for breakfast one day. It’s like a crunchy pizza on a croissant with ketchup. It’s round like a circle and the employees will understand u if u say«round pizza». That’s what I’ve been calling it ;) Even though the place opens at 8am, they don’t get their delivery until 840ish. They’ll have a couple breads and sweet buns, but my pizza pastry comes with the white van! PS — $ 5 minimum to use credit card.

Aww the disappointment I got when I paid almost $ 14 for 3 cake slices. We got mocha, strawberry and chocolate cake and they were all dry. The cake tasted stale to me and you think it was moist from the look of it but no it was dry. Took a bite out of eat cake and didn’t even finish it. I heard so much good stuff about White Windmill only to be told by friends that the one on Buford hwy is better compare to this locate.

This White Windmill location is located in the same shopping center as the Super H-Mart on Pleasant Hill. If you’re facing H-Mart, White Windmill is on the ground level to your left. I had one of the worst bubble tea experiences here(the other was at Thien Thanh). The bubble teas at White Windmill already come overpriced at a flat rate of $ 4.20. For comparison purposes, Quickly’s bubble teas start at $ 2.50. I ordered the taro milk tea, one of my favorite flavors, then wandered off to look at their baked goodies while they made my tea for me. When I went to the counter to pick it up and pay, I saw a taro slushie with with tapioca pearls. I’ve ordered bubble tea many times at the White Windmill on Buford Highway and they serve milk tea, not slushies. After speaking with the employee, I learned that apparently this White Windmill serves bubble teas of the slushy variety only. Bummer. I went ahead and tried it anyway and there were two things wrong with it:(1) it was way too watery and icy, so it lost a lot of the sweet taro flavor and(2) the tapioca pearls were bad(i.e. disgusting). They were definitely stale and old. I chewed up a few and did not dare try the rest. They were hard and did not taste any good. I think I drank about 2⁄3 of the«tea» before I had enough. One star for the disappointing boba. The inside of the store was nice and the two employees were courteous, so I’ll add an extra star for that. If you’re in the area and looking for bubble tea, go across the parking lot and try Lollicup instead(they’re located inside Phở Mimi).

It was nice, even though I was sick while there. Their pastries are pretty good, even though I could barley taste it. But it was all worth it after a cup of hot critron tea…
