Geez, talk about a vacation from hell! We went to Duluth when those awesome ships came through awhile back-but went at the last minute and needed affordable and decent lodging(well just a place to crash at night). The website made Super 8/Superior look good, but as any Duluth visitor will tell you-Superior is an absolute dump compared to Duluth. We got rooms opposite each other, and Wisconsin must not have the anti-smoking ordinances we have in Minnesota because my «non-smoking» room smelled of cigarettes. The beds are typical of the chain, they feel like you are laying on bare wood. I won’t be back, if you need an example of you get what you pay for-here it be. Because at Super 8/Superior, Wis. you shouldn’t expect much cause that’s what you get.

BEWARE! BEDBUGS! After we alerted the staff and they just shrugged their shoulders. No apology, no offer to comp the room, urgh. DONOTSTAYHERE! I wish I could give this zero stars!

One word, DUMP. We had to stay here because we waited too long to make reservations for a wedding we were going to. And not to my surprise, the Super 8 was the only place with vacancy. I ended up getting a room I didn’t reserve, it only came with 2 super thin pillows, no extra. I couldn’t sleep with them and neither could my husband so he went to ask the front desk for more and no one was there. He rang the bell on the counter and still no one came. So I went to check out the situation and I rang the bell as loud as I could and I guy strolled out from the backroom, who just woke up. He ended up getting the pillows after we awoke him from his nap. Not to mention, he had the phone off the hook so no one could call him. When our room was cleaned, we left the dirty towels on the floor so we could get new ones, instead the re-folded our wet towels and put them back! I’ve stayed at Super 8’s before and never had any complaints, this was by far the worst!!! Oh and did I mention it wasn’t cheap either? If it was then I wouldn’t care, but it was $ 114 per night!!!
