Awesome Sushi! The prices aren’t bad at all since it’s 50% off all of their specialty sushi rolls. But don’t take my word for it. Come and try it for yourself. The friendly staff and it’s casual setting make it an even more enjoyable experience.

The sushi here was great. However, the service wasn’t that great. They weren’t that busy but we still had to wait a while to get the server’s attention. An odd thing happened that day when I ate there with my family. This old korean woman in ragged clothing sneakily ran to our table when there were no servers or employees around and offered to sell bread to us. Then, she flew out the door of the restaurant so she would not get caught by the workers there. Weird. Aside from that, the restaurant provides salad as you wait for your sushi to be made. The sushi tasted good and fresh, however I think it’s a bit pricey with the small amount they give you compared to other sushi places I’ve been to. Although service wasn’t that great, the workers were friendly. It is very likely that I may come back again though.

This place is called Sing Sing(Fresh Fresh) for a reason. My parents and I got the $ 70 sashimi plate that came with california rolls and the spicy fish soup(I forget the name of it in Korean). This is really affordable compared to other restaurants which explains the more casual ambience. It does smell a little fishy inside but the restaurant isn’t intended to be a dinner date kind of place. Most people seem to order take out and the staff seemed really busy preparing plates of sashimi and sushi. The sashimi plate was to die for. The sashimi is cut really well and tasted SO fresh. It had a variety of fish and seafood like abalone, tuna, and more. The california rolls were really well made so I can imagine that their other sushi rolls are delicious as well. And the spicy fish soup at the end was the PERFECT way to finish dinner. Ah… just thinking about it makes me want to go back!

Fresh sushi at a reasonable price. Perfect place to swing by if you’re craving some sushi to take home or pickup for lunch. Call in an order about 15 – 20 min ahead. I definitely want to come back to try other dishes. Oh and for those who might not know, «sing sing» means«fresh» in Korean. Cute name.

Stumbled upon this place while visiting Atlanta over Thanksgiving and had ourselves some sashimi Korean style. There’s nothing fancy about the place and it smells like fish because they have several large tanks filled with LIVE sea cucumber, sea squirt and halibut. I suspect the reason why everyone else ordered for carry-out was because of the smell and very plain ambiance. No music, bright lighting, the sounds of workers chopping away at fish a few feet away behind a counter… you get the picture. There aren’t many places in Chicago that serve LIVE Korean style sashimi so we were excited to try this place out. Although not cheap(About $ 100 for a 2 – 3 «set») it was more than enough and very filling. The set came with maki and a spicy soup made with leftover fish bones and head. That’s the traditional Korean way! Between the two of us we were very full and satisfied with the overall quality and market-like experience but be forewarned that if you don’t understand this method of serving sashimi then you will probably be very disappointed. This is a utilitarian way of enjoying Korean style sashimi with fresh veggies, sesame leaf wrap and spicy soups. Although I’ve had better I’d have to say I was happy with what we received and the courteous service they gave even though it is not technically a restaurant. I’ll be returning every chance I get whenever I’m in the Atlanta area.
