came here with 7 people and order 7 different food with 2 large soju and 6 beer. so its over $ 250 for the tables after order the soju and beer came before even side dish comes out. we did not open the alcohol becuse side dish was not came yet. after waiting 15 min the side dish came out and ask sever to replace 6 beer because its already went warm but they refuse to replace even though its not even open. so we ask them for ice on the basket so it can get colder but it looks like sever did not like what we ask for… looks like server are lazy. we ask simple thing but server are too lazy for it. the food portion are way small for 7 people. there was 5 side dish and it looks way small for 7 people. we ask refill several time because every time we ask for refill they came with only for 1 person amount. and even though we order 7 different food it was really small portion. not even enough for 7 people! will not revisit after today.

By far the worst Korean restaurant I’ve ever been to. $ 80 dollar worth of nasty food. Service was horrible. When asked for more salad they said they were out! REALLY!!! 678, Iron Age, Breaker’s are so much better!!!

Nice because it’s open late and it has a decent selection of Korean alcohol. A little overpriced but the food was decent.

I didn’t realize this place is there until tonite. It’s a hidden gem! Lots of choices on the menu, and I wanted to try everything! I’ll definitely be back to do such! I had the squid and the flavor was amazing! I literally finished it all… other then the sauce itself! Hahaha! The hours are great, opens late!

The waiter actually tell us that this restaurant is not for food but more for drinking when I ask for recommendations for the menu items for my party of 6. We were treated not very nice when we just asked for tea but no alcohol drinks. The special bbq package supposed to served with a soju but he thought that we can’t understand Korean and only serve us food without the soju, which is find but do not tell us that he prefer drinking customer over eating customers. They serve very good Korean food here. But this place is more like Korean traditional pub, not a casual/family restaurant. I got asked twice if I’d order alcohol before I could start eating. That made me uncomfortable. That said, you can hear many noisy Koreans drinking. So if you’re a soju lover looking for decent Korean food, this place is a perfect match for you.

we just left this place because they said THISIS A BAR. People can smoke here and it’s not suitable for our baby. That’s why we went out and then we noticed here’s a sign” NOSMOKING”. I don’ know why they just don’t want to do business with us. they might just don’t welcome people with baby.

Came here with a group to experience their full spread. Had hot pot with various beef and pork cuts as well as seafood. As other reviewers mentioned, portion size isn’t substantial. Don’t be turned off by the lack of English menus, it’s fairly easy to discern what you’re after. Staff is friendly although we got stuck for quite a while due to their credit card machine inexplicably not working. Cost is fairly high for what it is, going forward I’ll probably stick to Honey Pig. All things considered, if your on pleasant hill at 1am and want a meal, it’s not a bad place to be.

Oh wow how much this place has changed… And it isn’t for the better. Café Todamgol used to be my go-to pocha. I used to love both food and service here, but it seems as that isn’t the case anymore. I haven’t been here in awhile and decided to go back last night to catch up with a good friend of mine. Once we got seated, we ordered the spicy steamed seafood hotpot and couple drinks. I was really excited about the food because I remembered the portion size, taste, and freshness of the ingredients. When banchans(side dishes) first came out, I was a bit confused. Number of dishes decreased, amount per dish decreased as well, and it just didn’t taste the same. I decided to not care too much because I knew how good the main dish was going to be, but I should’ve known that this was a foreshadowing of my meal. When the main dish finally came out, I was disappointed to say the least. First of all, their portions decreased. By a lot. Second, the dish was around 90% bean sprouts and 10% seafood. I’m pretty sure I ordered seafood hot pot. If I wanted some bean sprouts, I would’ve ordered more side dishes. Third, of all the little amount of seafood I had, most of em were just old ingredients. Whenever I took a bite, it spewed out pungent scent that derives from old seafood. Lastly, it just didn’t taste good. It was just too bland. Even the complimentary omelet that came out was difficult to eat because it was too watered down. All in all, as you can tell, it was not a pleasant dining experience. I’m still pretty upset that I paid $ 30+ for a bag of bean sprouts basically.

This is my favorite place to go to for late night munchies. It is located next to ‘What the phở’ on Pleasant Hill Rd. I ordered kimchi jjigae for the first time along with leek pancake. They had a good amount of side dishes(6) which were really yummy. I knew the kimchi jjigae was big but I did not expect it to be that huge. Definitely enough for 3 people! The waitress warned me that their kimchi has been fermented for years and it’s really sour. But I’m a lover of sour things and decided to give it a go. She was definitely right! It’s full of sour kimchi goodness! Along with kimchi, the stew had beef, tofu, onions and cucumbers in it. The leek pancake was good, a bit oily but still delicious.

Best Korean meats. Authentic hot soups. This is the place you go to when you want some legit Korean. Trust me. Amazing. This place will change your lives and you will want to come back wanting more. You will be bloated at the end so pace yourself. Make sure to get soju.

The staff was so kind!!! My husband has never had authentic Korean food and they were very eager to give us pointers. I loved everything from the pork belly to the spicy tofu soup at the end. Such an amazing experience! Its very cozy and casual, great for date night!

I’m a fan. The owner of this place also owns Star daepo, which is my AYCE favorite. I usually get bossam here, but I want to try the AYCE here next time, as well.

Review from a Korean guy who eats korean bbq as frequently as he can. Also, I. Am. Man. I. Love. Meat. Inside is well decorated, and although there aren’t too many seats, I never see too many people waiting. Everything looks clean and up to code so you don’t have to worry about it. Banchan is par. Not great. Not bad. I got the all-you-can-eat option($ 19.99) since the price difference was only a couple of dollars(if we ordered by serving), and I wasn’t sure how much I would want to eat at this point. The meat is quality without a doubt. The pork belly is about an inch thick and has lots of fat(that’s a good thing noobs). On the other hand, the beef is pretty lean and seems to be pretty high quality as well(from what I can tell; I’m no butcher). The problem is that they don’t give you enough to pair with the meat. There is the pickled radish, chopped lettuce, sesame seed oil w/salt but I need something else! Since the meat has no marinade, you need something else with enough flavor that brings more to the table than just meat! Maybe I was having an off day? I’m a little embarassed even writing that last sentence, but it’s true. I usually enjoy stuffing my face until I hate myself(paradoxical I know), but on this day I was satisfied with just having a normal portion and walking away from the table. Also, service wasn’t that great, but to be fair they seemed understaffed that day. 2 women between upwards of 10 parties for korean bbq is ridiculous. They did the best they could and were very personable when there but there just wasn’t enough woman power. Definitely worth trying b/c of the quality of meat, but not worth putting in the regular lineup.

Don’t laugh. I’ve had eaten Korean bbq before but never sat down with the Korean bbq experience. I know. I know. Why wait so long? Well, mainly cause I am thinking it will be a carnivorous event. I love me some meat but not that much of it. Then I remember that Koreans are well known for banchans for any meal you get. Bestie wanted meat so I suggested Korean bbq. She wasn’t able to have dinner until late Friday night around 10 pm. So I looked on Unilocal and found Café Todahmgol since it stays open until 2 am. It has great reviews on Unilocal too. Café Todahmgol is located in the same shopping plaza as What the Phở and Vincent Bakery. I been there several times but never noticed Café Todahmgol. While walking inside, I can already feel the authentic vibe. Bestie and I were the only non Koreans there. The lady in the front spoke little English and got a waitress who spoke English for us. We sat down and waitress was trying to help explain the bbq section. The funny thing is I saw chicken rib(?) on the menu for bbq but waitress says they only have beef and pork. I was like huh? Bestie doesn’t eat pork. I don’t eat beef. We both wanted chicken but couldn’t. So I did get pork and she got beef. We mainly came to chat and catch up. The waitress mainly cooked the meat while we watched and talked. Lots of banchans came out. We thought that was all of them and then the waitress came back out with more — soup, omlette, salad. The food was really good. We really like the salad. I had to ask for seconds and want to really learn how to make it! We stayed and chatted for a few hours. We were never rushed out. Close to midnight, it started to get even more busy. I still think we were the only two non Koreans there. The crowd is much older too. Definitely will come back! PS — my Korean friend says Todahmgol means«radish.» Koreans sure do love some radishes :)

We tried this place for the first time tonight. What a disappointment! The food presentation was good, the flavor was pretty good, too. Service, though, was almost nonexistent. The servers brought us our food and then were never seen again. We ordered the pork & potato stew that I love. I’ve definitely had much better elsewhere. At all the other places where I’ve had this stew, there was an abundance of veggies and meat, not just the potatoes. The server was supposed to come back to cut up the pork and serve it to us in a small bowl. Well, that didn’t happen; like I said, the servers were not seen again after they dump off our food until we rang the bell for the check. The soup in our stew dried up before the potatoes even got cooked! Everything is a big ticket order here, so expect to spend a little money. We only ordered the stew and a stir fry of chicken gizzards(and a small bottle of Hite beer), and we spent about $ 55 before tip. I really don’t think I’ll be coming here again.

They weren’t yet ready for bulgogi when we went so we go intestine and rib instead. Latter was a little better than the former – both were ok. But a bit pricey for what you get. Sides were a bit more limited but pretty good. I don’t think they did a particularly good job with service.

This place is Awesome Awesome. Food always feel fresh(I’ve come here for like five times already). Besides the BBQ, you should definitely try their Bossam(try at first to learn to put together a bossam wrap and eat it the«proper» way – it’s still good with whichever way you feel comfortable eating because each individual ingredient is super delicious: their veggies are always fresh, the meat succulent and fragrant even though very simplistically executed. Great place to hang out and have dinner with a couple of close friends. I had a great time here either coming with my family or friends, communication was not as bad as I’d expected from reading the reviewers on Unilocal: 1) they understand English 2) there’s English translations on the menu 3) there were not many items on the menu(it’s a BBQ place) and even fewer of those items that demand explanation.

I love this place bc the food is always good and consistent. I would recommend coming to this place with someone who can read and communicate in Korean. Otherwise, u can just look at the photos. I have tried the soondae bokkum(stir fried blood sausage pretty spicy), gamja tang(pork bone soup with potatoes), korean pork belly steamed and bbq, and etc. Every single dish is absolutely delicious. I think this restaurant is one of the most authentic korean restaurants around the area.

SO and I have been back twice in the past 2.5 weeks so that in and of itself should say alot! The first time we came, we were seated in a private room. The servers were very friendly, even taking the initiative to clear plates and come back with tons of requested banchan. I have come to realize that no 2 Korean restaurants in ATL will give you the same banchans. This makes every single Korean bbq venture interesting since I have become fond of certain banchans and looking to explore more. At Café Todahmgol, they had a variety which included: marinated bean sprouts, spinach, kimchi, pickled radish slices as well as peanuts. if you get the AYCE, it comes with a variety of meats(not just the brisket and the pork belly). The meats here are thick cut, similar to Cho won. Some pieces were pretty fatty, but a majority of them were perfect. Your AYCE(about $ 16/pp) also comes with spicy tofu soup as well as the boiled egg/omlette soup which is really quite good. Located next to What The Phở, the exterior looks pretty unassuming and many of our guests even remarked that they pass by often but never came in because they weren’t sure what kind of restaurant it was. The interior of the restaurant is very inviting. It’s a mixture of Sun & Moon as there are wood accents everywhere, but kinda trendy as they have empty bottles of soju with green christmas lights hanging from the main dining room(trust me, it looks prettier than it sounds). The service for both of our visits were very prompt. I haven’t encountered a language barrier like I have at other restaurants and the ahjummas here are very nice. This is quickly becoming a regular spot for us.
