2 Smith Art Gallery

AN ART GALLERY THAT ALSO OFFERS CLASSES!
I first noticed this art gallery when attending the Food Truck Friday event and decided to stop by for a visit. This gallery is owned by Pam and Larry Smith who also teach art classes, (for beginners or advanced students). Larry’s specialty is landscapes, and color theory while Pam specializes in oil portraits of people and dogs. Their work is displayed throughout the gallery/​classroom and their talent is VERY apparent.
I met with Pam this afternoon and she was very nice and patient while explaining the classes and showing me around the studio and I’m sure that this is reflective of her teaching style. They have Wed and Thurs night classes starting in the fall on September 9^th and 10^th. Classes are limited to 15 students at a cost of $ 275 for 24 hours of instruction. If you are interested in learning to paint seriously or as a hobby, this studio has a lot to offer. I love that it is located in historic Duluth, (on Main street, across from the park), which is a beautiful inspiration for any budding artist.
