A very nice little café. We came in for brunch I had a piece of asparagus quiche and some soup(tomato, chicken, beans, kale). It was nice. But there was no much else for brunch. We also had some puff pastry, it’s okay. The desserts are not overly sweet which is good.

Quaint little café tucked into a strip mall. Offers fresh salad, sandwiches, soup, quiche, assorted pastries and coffee. Average lunch price is around $ 8-$ 9, pastries range from $ 2.50-$ 5.00 and coffee is close to $ 4 depending what you get. Most of the food is tasty, but not overly spiced and very light. There’s a complimentary water station with a dispenser of water flavored with fresh lemon or orange slices. The menu is limited. Sometimes only 1 kind of soup or sandwich depending on the day. There’s usually 2 – 4 types of salad and quiche. You can sit inside or take out. Nice, clean place for a quick, light lunch. I feel that the price is slightly on the high side, but it’s all freshly made food.

Service: A lady or 2 are in the counter. You walk to the counter, pick what you wanna get, pay for the food, chose your seat, eat them all, and clean your table. Simple enough. Using silverware and ceramic plate is a little plus. Food: Tried lunch special(soup of the day or salad + Strata, Quiche, or sandwich) 1st try; chili + quiche(olive/spinach/something else) 2nd try; white bean soup + strata(eggplant/spinach/dried pepper) All of them are good. Price: Reasonably priced for the quality. Lunch special for $ 8.77 including tax. Overall: A little, cozy place with good food. Added to my «what do I get for lunch today?» list. Unlike many other restaurant here in the US, the portion here is just right size for the price so that you don’t pay for extra food which will be land filled or become unwanted belly fat.

Our lunchtime travels brought us to Tuula’s in the mid-afternoon on Saturday. There is plenty of parking, as it is located along the side of a strip mall near Hard and Sawmill Roads. The shop is super-cute, bright, with lots of space to show off their selections of pastries, sandwiches, salads, and sandwiches. There are couches, tables, and a side table full of books in case you need a distraction(they do have free wifi, but maybe you’re feeling wild when you get here). Fun and friendly customer service, too, nice people. Being as we were late to the party, our selection was limited, but what we had was great! I had a slice of ham and gorgonzola quiche, a cup of the butternut squash tortilla soup with lime sour cream, while the spouse had a turkey sandwich with red peppers and a mixed greens salad. We ordered dark chocolate bread pudding because… yeah! Two coffees and lunch was served(tip: the coffee cups are in the middle of the shop, while the carafes are further back. Wander less.) The soup was excellent — including the lime sour cream, there was a citrusy aspect to it that did a great job of highlighting the butternut squash as paired with the corn and other elements of the soup. Unique and not nearly as heavy as many squash soups. The quiche was light, airy, buttery, good all around. Spouse’s lunch was good as well, having a basic sandwich and salad. Dark chocolate bread pudding, did you say? Very good as well. No raisins or nuts, but a long vein of deep chocolate running through it. We finished it, no problem. I’d try anything they serve, based only on this quick lunch. Excellent all-around.

The desserts were delicious. Not too sweet. Perfect. I loved the lemon brita which was a custard shortcake regular cake hybrid. The latte was good. The almond cake was so fantastic. I think everything was a little overpriced, 2 drinks and 2 desserts were 15 $ but the quality of the desserts was a notch above other bakeries I have visited. You wont find chocolate chip cookies here; you’ll find biscotti and bread pudding, more unconventional sweets.

I love Tuula’s! I have moved from Dublin but whenever I come back we always go to Tuula’s to eat! The quiche, salads, desserts, and soups are all AMAZING! Every time I visit she is trying a new recipe and they are always delicious! Tuula is so sweet and tried to get to know her customers. I’ve never had a bad experience at Tuula’s and recommend it to everyone!

I stopped by here after teaching a class at LA Fitness, and was STARVING so I decided to get a quiche here. I ordered a veggie quiche, which had zuchinni(I think) eggplant, and maybe some peppers? Anyways, it was delicious, very clear that it was made fresh. Also, free wifi. I just wish they had more selections for drinks. They didn’t have soymilk for my latte(but this is me being poshy). Overall, nice atmosphere, and would recommend getting something homemade, like the quiches that require a bit more effort than just tossing a salad…

Even better, if that is possible! Unique coffee shop. The best quiche I’ve ever had continues to amaze. Most incredible variety of sweets and pastries. Now they serve lunch too. Very friendly and fast service. Really tasty chai latte. Trust me: you don’t want to choose another place!

What a gem for us in Dublin. Quiche, soups, salads and oh so many lovely cakes and desserts. Brittas are worth the trip alone.

Loved this place! I had the goat cheese and spinach quiche which Tuula warmed for me and a small mocha which was served in a ceramic cup and saucer. My mate had the toffee nut shortbread and a brewed coffee that he said was delicious. We went because we had BOGO menu items through our WOSH membership card and we are so glad, otherwise we may never have found this place. It’s got a very chill vibe inside and there are many different seating options, you could make it as cozy and private or as friendly and open as you’d like. All of the desserts look amazing and we will definitely be back to try more!

This place has the best quiche I’ve tasted in the US. Full of flavor, feels like it’s good for you, and wonderful service. For the kids they have some lovely cakes that are not over-sweetened. A little jewel hidden away in a strip mall between Hard Rd/Sawmill. Highly recommended.

This is a small, locally owned European bakery, café and breakfast & lunch shop. I’d guess it was the owner’s long-time dream to open it. The pastries are excellent. As good as any European pastry shop in Columbus. As good as Motzart’s and the French Loaf. Delicious pastries. I give the pastries 5 stars. The quiches and stratas were very good. Salads looked nice. I give the quiches and stratas 4 stars. The asparagus soup(soup of the day) was bland and needed more seasoning and salt. I give this one soup 3 stars. The interior is clean and pleasant, albeit it could be dressed up a little as the owner is able to reinvest. The staff are very nice. Four of us had lunch and dessert. All four of us really liked it and will enthusiastically return.

Tuula’s is a locally owned café. It’s a small little café located in a strip mall at the corner of Hard & Sawmill Roads. Plenty of parking spaces around in the parking lot. I had been wanting to try them for a while. Tuula’s has been in place for several years now. The interior is small and comfortable with a variety of different seating arrangements to relax and eat-in. It’s obvious they would like you to come in, spend some time and relax. There is a small television hanging on the side wall, various reading materials and even a book share option. It has a modern, contemporary European style with a fairly quiet atmosphere. Walk up to the counter space toward the back of the café. View the assortment of sandwiches, wraps, salads, quiches, strata and delectable baked goods. Menu items are made fresh daily. Choose from the offerings available in the case. It’s not an expansive menu, but does offer a nice variety of items to choose from, depending on your appetite. They have a daily luncheon special for $ 7.90 — choose any quiche, strata or half sandwich and bowl of soup or fresh side salad. I went for the special and choose a strata and side salad. I added a large latte as well. All are quite competitively priced, especially when you consider this is a locally owned café and homemade. The prosciutto strata was topped with a red pepper pesto that added a nice touch. It was served at room temperature. I suspect I would have enjoyed it even more if it was warm. The salad had all fresh ingredients and the home-made salad dressing was an herbed Italian dressing — you actually taste the herbs! The latte was equally good and satisfied my need for caffeine. After finishing my lunch, I will say the lemon brita kept seducing me. I tried to play coy and ignore it, but I could not resist her seductive nuances, even when I went back to the counter and tried to be dismissive and ask about all the other baked goods. The lemon brita stole my heart. The brita had a crunchy exterior with and creamy lemon pie like filling inside that was sweet and not overly tart. Alas, she did not last long as I devoured every morsel. Her memory still lingers with me. In chatting with the owner, I learned they often change their menu items to keep it fresh and seasonal. I definitely return to check-out what’s new.

Definitely a fan! The best coffee I’ve had anywhere! Every time I get a goodie here, I am never dissapointed, even with the day olds for 50 cents! I’m actually dreaming about going now. Too bad I live about 60 miles away! I definitely just stop there when I go to Marysville and I should go there every time I visit the Zoo. I wanted to give this place a 5 but the owner is direct and not very cheerful. I want someone to want to get to know me every time I stop by. If you are just going for the food and amazing coffee, consider this a five star rating!

Had a quick lunch with the family at Tuulas. The menu was good nut not too ‘Kid friendly’, I.e. Kids and quiche don’t go naturally together until they acquire the taste. The desserts were good. I would recommend this place more for coffee and desserts.

I finally checked this place out, after meaning to go for many months. As a Scandinavia enthusiast, I had high hopes for this place. Though it did not exactly wow me, it did not let me down. I was there on a late afternoon on a Friday, and there was only one other customer– I’m pretty sure it’s very much a breakfast and light lunch place. But there was still a very impressive selection of sweet pastries left, plus some quiche. I chose the cranberry brita, a cream cake with meringue on the top, and it was heavenly. My friend got the pulla, a cardamom bun, and it was even better. Both were $ 3 – 5 but quite large. The smoothies are expensive and just made from a syrup, so I would not suggest them, but there is also an extensive espresso bar to check out. The décor was tasteful, but not as European as I had perhaps hoped. The owner is very nice though, and very Finnish. Also, don’t be turned off by the fact that it is in a strip mall– at least it’s a nice strip mall.

I am not impressed at all with the décor, the coffee, the tea selection, etc… However, I will stop here again for the espresso shortbread, half-dipped in chocolate. Imagine shortbread is like glass and you can stain it or make it speckled, like stained glass, or glass sculptures that they put flecks of coloring inside. Well: You can see bits of the espresso bean all throughout the shortbread. This made the material of the shortbread strong and durable, for the breaking and the dipping. Like adding a small amount of oxygen to steel makes it stronger. Speckling shortbread with espresso grinds makes me come back. This is the kind of shortbread that you would want a jacket made out of, to keep you warm when visiting the Columbus Zoo in the fall. The same texture as thick berber carpet. You just walked in an espresso field and have dragged a bunch of espresso crumbs from the outside, and now you are walking all over the ridged shortbread carpet, driving the espresso into the bread. Maybe that’s how they do it.

I’m typing this right now with one hand because my fork is in the other. Except for when I put it down to use my napkin because I keep getting my salad dressing everywhere. It’s tangy, possibly a citrus vinaigrette(or possibly not), and it ties the greens and the mild slices of yellow bell peppers in with the golden grapes, super-sweet raspberries, and plum chunks. The beans give the salad the weight that makes it a meal. I didn’t want to wait to share about it. I’d always thought that if I could write a review while eating the subject matter, I could be more eloquent about it. How am I doing so far? Tuula’s does not have a menu online because, as it says on the site, they make whatever’s fresh that day. The dishes they do have on the site are mostly eggy(quiches) and dairyish(various desserts; the case is full of custard tarts today, for instance), so I came prepared to either ask questions or compromise my eating preferences, but it turned out I would not have to. There in the case, soon as I walked in, was«Vegan Salad.» The quotes are not because it’s not true; the quotes are because that’s the actual name of the salad. The $ 9 price tag made me hesitate for exactly 17 seconds. And now, about 15 minutes and 17 seconds later, I’m scooping up the last few forkfuls of lima butter beans and fresh greens(all that fruit got devoured pretty early on) out of the bottom of a shallow but fairly wide salad bowl. Hang on, I need two hands for a sec. Ok, all done. Oh crap, I just found something to complain about. Darnit. My tea is decaf. The tea selection is only five or six teas large, and I got the only green one. And I’m only just now noticing it’s decaf. Good thing I didn’t come here for breakfast. I also thought I’d be complaining about the apple slices being mushy, but then I realized they were peaches. Complaint averted. So yeah, this is a lovely place. The décor is chic and modern, and there is a table with a chess/checkerboard. Whether there are chess/checker pieces, I have no idea. You have your choice of couches, cushy chairs, and proper tables – both high and middle height– to choose from. Lots of outlets(you know I look for that first thing), and the wifi is doing just fine(yes, I’m typing, not texting this; I’m that annoying person who calls you back if you text me). There’s probably a bandwidth advantage to coming to use wifi at a place where you’re the only one laptopping. Yet it is the kind of quiet, laid-back counter-service place where you could order, sip and nibble, and hang for a while without disturbing or being disturbed. I will probably come back to do exactly that even on a day when I’m not able to spend $ 9 on Vegan Salad(here’s hoping it’s a regularly available dish, though, even if the ingredients rotate with the seasons). I’m already planning it now: I’ll be ordering the chocolate shake under the«frappé: dairy or soy» heading on the cold drink menu.

I dropped in on their fourth year anniversary for a snack, ending up with a piece of chocolate-coated custard that was simply –amazing-. Thick, rich, creamy, and with a great blend of mild custard and rich chocolate, it is one of the best dessert items I’ve had in a while. The latte I got with it was also very nice, and of good size. Also, given the sample of it I got to try, I think it’s safe to say that the plum cake is also amazing. …but then it’s Tuula’s, and I’m pretty sure all the items are pretty amazing. :)

Came here yesterday with a girl friend, and it was the first time for both of us. It took me a while to find it until she told me «Two doors down from Hoggy’s, going away from Kroger.» This place is super-cute! And I’m not the sort of person who usually describes eating establishments as «super-cute.» Honestly, everything looked so fresh and good, I was kind of sad we were each only having one thing. I had a generously sized piece of quiche with ham(and berries!) and a hot cocoa, and my friend had a bread pudding I think, and some sort of hot caffeinated specialty drink. Food prices were OK, though I thought the beverages were a little pricey, although not unreasonable. Oh, the important part. Everything was delicious! Oh my. So good. I would definitely recommend it. I myself will need to go back because even though we each tried what the other ordered, I have so much more quiche and pastries to explore! =)
