Delicious food. Good customer care. Prompt delivery. Ordered many takeouts and visited several times. I like their Biriyani — awesome taste.

I dont know why there are a lot of negative reviews about this place, but I really like the biriyani here. Probably one of the best biriyanis in the tri valley area. Admittedly I have only had the biriyani from this place and can only speak to that.

We have eaten here a couple of times and this place is by far one of the better Indian restaurants in the Dublin Pleasanton area. Their chettinad dish is simply awesome. We also enjoy their Paneer Makhani, Gobi Manchurian and Vegetable Biryani a lot! I am only giving it 4 starts because I am not a fan of the music videos they play on the TV. It’s not always kid appropriate.

The buffet has a huge menu. The service is really good. The regular take out menu is tasty except their Biryani. It seems to be very dry, I hope they work on it.

I recently hosted a few parties at Peacock and their new banquet hall(located between Carpeteria and Threads a few doors down from the restaurant) and was delighted with the service, attention to detail and experience with their owner, manager and staff. I would highly recommend using them and their banquet hall when hosting your next party. Their hall is new, easily accommodates up to 90 – 100 people, ample parking and easy to find location near the freeway. They have a sound system that can be used for background music and a projector. If you are looking to make announcements or speak comfortably to a larger crowd, you will need to make arrangements for a mic. We were able to manage without one just fine. The menu options were ample and were customizable to your liking. The food was a hit with our guests. Folks really liked the Chicken 65, Bhaigan(eggplant) and Mango Mousse to name a few. It’s really great that we have a hall that we can use in the Tri-Valley area vs. always going out to different parts of the bay area. Be sure to check them out!

Okay buffet but the dessert chef is really talented. The highlight are the desserts which were tasty. The rest of the buffet was average but the locals sure seemed to like it here. They have free chai tea by the bar. Ambience is so-so.

We came for the buffet. It was a small selection, but mostly good stuff and certainly something for everyone in your party. Worse part was just having to wait in a long line to pay and having to wait for the naan.

Typical indian food, not bad but not great. Chicken tikka masala was good, mutton ghosth could have been better. We did order a mutton fried-rice that was very unique and pretty tasty! Would probably come back again, but not excitedly.

Disappointed ! Ordered 3 different biryanis at Peacock Dublin location — Chicken Dum Biryani, Vijayawada Mutton Biryani and Veg Dum Biryani. All tasted decent. Problem — All of them had very less meat or veggies compared to quantity of rice. Second, rice was little mushy, was n’t the long one generally should be used in biryanis. Not ordering biryani next time for sure. Had better ones even at other peacock location in Fremont. Location was clean and service was not bad either.

Great buffet selection, but pricing seems to be on-the-fly and they tried to dis-own their Unilocal check-in offer! I stopped by Peacock Indian Cuisine on a Friday. I had some time to kill while my car was at the nearby Nissan dealer and I always look forward to trying Indian buffets so Peacock seemed to fit the bill. When I checked-in on Unilocal I noticed they had offered a free lassi drink for Unilocalers, and that sealed the deal for me! They selection of dishes here is among the broadest I have ever experienced at an Indian buffet with maybe a dozen different main dishes as well as salad, dessert and chutneys. There are ample meat and vegetarian selections to keep you interested for multiple rounds. The day I went they even had a table set up where they prepared freshly made appam(a rice pancake which can be eaten with curries or sweets). I have never seen this before and so my visit proved educational as well as filling! The quality of the dishes was average, no complaints but aside from the uniqueness of the appam none of the dishes proved to be very memorable. The restaurant itself was relatively clean and spacious, no complaints. Unfortunately when I went in and showed them my Unilocal check-in they immediately denied that there was such an offer. I have had this happen at several other Indian restaurants so I was not surprised and didn’t try to argue. The manager very grudgingly said he would give me the free lassi anyway, and I did get it. As I was being shown to my table I asked how much the buffet was and was told $ 11.99. Usually buffet restaurants will prominently post the cost in the window or on a placard, but Peacock didn’t post the price at all. After I got my first round of food and was eating the waiter came by and told me that he was mistaken about the $ 11.99 price. He said that on weekends the price is $ 12.99. I confirmed with him that it was Friday and he said yes, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were the weekend. OK, I learned even more today! I might be back for the great selection but next time I won’t bother trying to claim any special offers and I will ask for the prices in writing!!!

Tried their lunch buffet today. Wish the menu was more balanced. Heavy on the carbs. Multiple chicken preparations but no goat curry and only one seafood option, the fish fry. Surprised there weren’t more veggie dishes. I missed the daal(lentil stew) which I thought was ubiquitous to Indian buffets. Didn’t get naan until halfway through my meal and had to ask the server for it. Fresh from the oven, it was nicely blistered and delicious. Perfectly soft, fluffy and buttery with just the right amount of char. Water was room temp. No ice. Had to continually ask for refills. Liked their gulab jamun, Indian version of donut holes soaked in a simple syrup. However, watermelon was tasteless since it was out of season. Food is more full flavored, slightly spicier than F_______Indian Buffet in San Ramon. However, selection is smaller while service was slow. Also, wish the TV was turned down. Volume was way too loud and not conducive to conversation. Reluctantly, giving them a 3-star review.

A little disappointed that they only had a buffet for lunch and could not get anything a la carte. But that’s fine. The buffet was fine, nothing to rave about and it was your standard Indian buffet.

We tried this place despite the 2.5star Unilocal rating. The place looked clean and had an extensive menu. Here’s the verdict: Garlic Naan — tasty and fresh Butter Chicken — creamy and tsaty. Our two toddlers loved it. Palak Paneer — tasty cottage cheese. The spinach purée was creamy. I would’ve appreciated a little more Paneer. But for the price, it was good value. Goat Curry — It was prepared with a hint of spice. It’s a must try if you like Goat. Again, not a lot of meat, but it was good value considering the price. Plain Rice — it was just short grain rice. It was ok. Nothing special We would probably visit this place again to get our East Indian cuisine fix for a cheap and reasonable price. The most important thing is our picky 4 year old loved the butter chicken. That was the best value. I just wished they fixed their bathroom door. You have to lift it and push for it to close. They even made a sign to guide the resto patrons.

I don’t understand why this restaurants is not rated well. My husband and I had dinner here. Ordered Channa Bhatura, aloo chat, medhu vada and mango Lassi. The food was excellent quality and very tasty and authentic South Indian. The staff were quick to take order and serve. The ambience is pretty decent considering its a pretty small place. Will definitely eat here again.

I use to love the biryani in this place. The price keeps going up and the quantity keeps getting low. Now they have started serving stale biryani’s. Happened to me twice when I went to pick up an order at night! They couldn’t have gotten lower than this. This is pretty much the worse a restaurant can do — Serving stale food! Please don’t eat at this restaurant even though I do agree their biryani is very tasty when served proper. But serving stale food is not acceptable by any means.
