Retarded gas nozzle kept saying donk donk indicating full tank of gas even though it was empty. So I realized that I could keep it going as long as I only pull the trigger 10%. I had to stay on that trigger 10% and let the gas drizzle out for an eon. I stopped at 1.5 gallons because I ain’t gonna let this piece of crap location earn any more money from me with their dysfunctional nozzle.

Standard gas station with the expected bells and whistles. They are one of the types that charge extra for credit cards — seen this before, no big deal but just be aware. Easy to get in and out of parking lot. Clean and simple. Overall: B Standard gas station!

I’ve heard a lot of people complain about the annoying price difference of 10¢ per gallon for the cash and credit prices. But there’s a reason for the madness. So basically, all credit card companies charge their users a transaction fee when they use credit/debit cards, and gas stations just include this transaction fee into the price of their gasoline. So the price that is posted on the sign is all the taxes and fees included, the customer just doesn’t see it. But if you decide to pay in cash, you’ll save 10¢ per gallon because you’re not paying the annoying transaction fee! At other gas stations, you pay the same amount for cash or credit, and you might think hey, it’s convenient and I’m building my credit! But if you think about it, you’re not paying just for gas, you’re also paying for a transaction fee, that you can easily avoid by simply paying cash! And Valero offers this option! So I don’t see why not? I mean, how easy is it to just drop by the ATM at your bank or even the ATM in the convenience store and just withdrawl some money to pay for gas? It literally takes an extra 15 seconds. AND you’re saving money. 10 cents may not seem like a lot at the moment, but it is definitely worth it in the long run. And in this terrible economy, a penny saved is a penny earned! Some people may argue that they want to keep their cash in the bank, but banks have such low interest rates that you won’t be earning squat by just having your money sit in there. Plus, you’re going to have to pay your credit card company at the end of the month anyway. So really, an extra 15 seconds will save you 10 cents PER gallon, let’s say you buy 10 gallons of gas, you’ll have $ 1.00! So let’s say you buy gas once a week, and you buy 10 gallons each time, in 10 weeks, you’ll have saved $ 10.00! You can buy a meal with that! But if you’re all about the plastic, you can apply for a Valero card, the price you pay with the card is the same as the cash price. So if you want the best of both worlds(cheaper gas plus the convenience of a credit card) you can just apply for a Valero card(which will also take you 15 extra seconds). I think what this gas station is offering is great. It’s saving everyone money, and we’re not paying the credit card companies all those fees. Awesome, huh? I think it’s a win-win situation. And I think this Valero is in general a very pleasant place to be, the pumps and the convenience store is super clean and well-kept, and the clerks are all very nice and friendly.

Dublin Valero is on a corner of the shopping mall that hosts 99 ranch, their pricing is competitive, cheaper than the stations by the freeway but not as cheap as arco up the street. gasdrips: –small convenience store within. –frozen potstickers and other items from ofs food services available here. –credit card use is more expensive than cash here.

I’ve been to this Valero a few times. I don’t have any problems with the clerks at the desk but, man, does there have to be a difference in price for gasoline if you are using a credit card? It’s only 10 cents, but it’s the principle of the thing. The convenience store is always clean and the clerks are always friendly.

I used to come here to get fuel every week. But ever since they put in the cash price and credit card price, I stopped going here immediately. Their credit card price is more expensive than Shell or Chevron. I am disappointed in their decision to put the difference in price.

#53 THISREVIEWISNOTFORTHEFUEL! Okay, so if I’m not reviewing the fuel, then why am I writing about this station? Frozen Chinese Dumplings! My sister first told me about the dumplings several months ago. In fact, I don’t remember how she found out. I think it was probably just a chance occurrence while looking for something else. You may ask why a Valero station convenience store would be selling Chinese dumplings. I have no idea. I’m guessing they’re being sold on consignment since you can only pay cash for the dumplings($ 12), even though the station accepts credit. They come from a family operation in Fremont. I was surprised that the caucasian guy working knew so much about them. He was even saying that the operation advertises in the local Chinese newspapers. I guess it also doesn’t hurt that the 99 Ranch Market is right next door. They sell multiple varieties in bags of 50 pieces, but I’ve only bought the: 1. shrimp, pork, and chive 2. shrimp, pork, and napa The shrimp, pork, and chive is the best, and I don’t even like chives. I usually just boil them. I haven’t been back in a couple months so I’m hoping they are still being sold. I can’t wait to pick up my next bag!

I have to take away some stars from this place because I just realized the difference in prices between cash customers and credit customers. Yes, I had a total blond moment and didn’t realize until today that they are charging .10 cents more a gallon if you use your debit or credit card. WTF?! Sheesh and I thought Arco’s .45 cent flat fee was bad… not compared to and extra .10 cents a gallon. Back to Arco I go.

I came in here to get something to drink after a workout and there was an asian lady working. I was very polite… But… She was rude! She did what she could to not have to make physical contact with me i.e. when I was trying to hand her my money to pay for what I got. When she was giving me back my change, she tossed it on the counter like she was throwing dice to play craps. What the F!!! I’m definitely not coming back here again. Your visit may vary… If you have to get gas here, I recommend paying at the pump.
