Dublin Metro Grill

I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious salad options and the cheese plate. Typical hotel bar atmosphere so I took my dinner and wine to my room. But so surprised how awesome the food was!

Mediocre food, and hit or miss service.
As a guest at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for which they provide room service, I’ve had an awful experience. The one meal I was able to get to my room was from a card I filled out and hung on the door for breakfast the next morning. Otherwise, trying to get room service here is pretty much impossible, because they just hang up on you whenever you try to call it in.
Which is fine, because the breakfast I did have arrived cold, with coffee that was barely warm. I’d rather pay extra for an über to take me to a nearby restaurant.
I will say that the person who brought up the one meal I was able to get was very nice.

I had a
coupon that I purchased after reading decent reviews online. The restaurant is in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dublin. My husband & I went on a Friday night with our 5-​year-​old granddaughter and the place was dead. There was one family eating and there was no one else around to greet or seat us. Two employees walked by us in the hall and one noticed we were waiting so she seated us and said someone would be along shortly. The lone server came to our table within a minute and took our drink orders. He was very pleasant and answered questions about the menu and rattled off the children’s meal options.
My husband had steak & shrimp with a salad & rolls/​butter. I had the fish tacos with fries and they were very good. We ordered a plain cheese quesadilla (not on the menu) for the granddaughter, which I tasted and it was quite good.
It was a good meal, with good service. I don’t know that we will return, but if I were a hotel guest, I would definitely have a meal there.

I was staying at the Crowne Plaza on business and my company gave me free breakfast buffet coupons, so I ate breakfast here every day.
The server was very friendly and attentive, even if it was just to refill my coffee or take away my plate.
The buffet was small but had everything one would expect. Scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. Fresh fruit, yogurt, several types of cereal. Muffins and pastries. Either pancakes or french toast. They even had an omelette station for 2 dollars extra. There was plenty of everything else here, I did not need nor want an omelette.
Everything was hot, fresh, and tasty.
While drinking at the bar one night I ordered a hummus and vegetable tray from their appetizer menu and it was very good. It came with pita wedges, assorted veggies and a big scoop of fresh garlicky hummus. I was impressed.
I was hoping to order some of the other good stuff from their dinner menu but never got the chance as the company took us all out every night.

and were unsure if the restaurant was open since it was completly empty, no host, no guests, nothing. We went into the bar and the server was very nice and brought us to the restaurant and took our orders. We had very fresh, large and tasty caesar and house salads, the Metro Burger and the reuben. All of it was very good, fast and with excellent service. It was romantic having an entire restaurant to ourselves and I liked the classy environment. I would recommend this as a nice place for dinner, a great date night and a nice place to stay anytime!
