Justin from One Call Lock and Key hit it out of the park for me. He is awesome. More honest fair and great follow through to get me back on the road. I am so thankful and appreciative. Everyone else hassled me about getting it done and gave me objections instead of solutions. Impressive !!

My purse was stolen with my car keys inside. I did some research and bought a key from keylessride. That part was easy! Now, all i had to do was find a locksmith in Austin that could cut and program my key… this should also be easy! NOPE, it was not. I called about 20 locksmith’s in Austin. I got the same response from just about every single company, «It’s a German car, you have to take it in to the dealer.» I also got, «I don’t have the tools.» or «I don’t have the code, it’s locked away in Germany.» Finally, Austin Key Guy gave me this number and told me they could do it. I called, they quoted me a price of $ 160 to cut and program a jetta key. Yes, please! It took about 45 minutes for him to cut and program the key, but my life is back on track! He was very nice. These guys saved me having to tow my car to the dealership! Thank you, thank you! Oh yeah, there was one company located in Round Rock, who told me they could cut and program the key for $ 300, it was going to be so expensive because they were traveling alllllllll the way from Round Rock. These guys came from San Marcos, and in a timely matter, for $ 160 and tons of smiles! Thanks again.

This guy lives in my neighborhood. While driving to work one day, I figured I would contact them to see about having them re-key my Honda key. The guy precedes to tell me its $ 160 for a rekey and re-program of the Fob. I know for a fact that to reprogram the FOB is a 5 step process and takes less than 5 minutes. I then ask how much he charges to cut the key. He proceeds to tell me $ 50. I order the key FOB online for $ 5. I take my key to the Honda Dealer who cuts my key for free. We pop out the old transmitter, install it in the new key and we are back in business. I guess you are paying for the connivence of having a guy come to you to cut keys. I realize that rolling a truck to come to you is not cheap. I would have been happy to have met the guy someplace to cut the key. He sounded like he was more than happy to take my money and run. Thanks but no thanks. I will take my business elsewhere.
