Favorite local Indian place. We hit the lunch buffet every so often and it is reliably good. My husband and I haven’t actually ordered entrees yet. Something to look forward to!

We have always dined at the Media location, but we aren’t a fan of the remodel, so we decided to try this location. When we arrived on a Sunday evening for dinner, the restaurant was empty. We didn’t mind since that usually means excellent service. While the service wasn’t horrible, it was lacking, especially considering the fact that we were the only table to wait on. For our meal we had paneer tikka masala and lamb masala with sweet naan. The naan was amazing as always. Perfectly sweet and fluffy. The dishes were all well received. They did a decent job catering to our level 5 spice, although it wasn’t extremely spicy. We also got honey balls and Indian ice cream for dessert. Both were very good. I think I would return to this location and hope for better service. The good was delicious and the atmosphere was more cozy than the Media location. Even better was the coupon for checking in on Unilocal

Gourmet Indian. Fresh, great presentation, vegetarian /vegan options. My favorite Indian food in the Philly area. Clean location and friendly staff. I’ve yet to visit their Media location since this Drexel Hill locale is close to home.

The chicken tikka masala was really good. It was my favourite type of indian food. My family really loved it. We took the chicken tikka masala with rice and butter naan. I rate it 5 because the food was very delicious and the service was great.

Visited: Wednesday — November 11, 2015 — 2PM I ordinarily visit during the early afternoon and enjoy the limited but varied buffet selections. This time, take out. I ordered Lamb Vindaloo(cubes of lamb cooked in a sharply spiced chef’s homemade sauce and potatoes) $ 16.75. I requested mild spicing. I also ordered Indian Eggplant(eggplant, potatoes, ginger, garlic, and spices) $ 15.00. Again, I requested mild spicing. I consented to an order of Naan bread(tandoor baked white bread). $ 2.25. A quart container of basmati rice accompanied the meal. I retreated home to enjoy my «feast». The vindaloo was full flavored, seasoned satisfactorily, and perfectly cooked. The eggplant matched my experience with the vindaloo. The basmati rice was fluffy with an unknown but welcome flavor and texture. I was unable to finish my lunch. I combined the vindaloo and eggplant into one container and froze. I froze the basmati rice in a separate container. One week later, I microwaved the vindaloo/eggplant/rice combinations. The freezing did not adversely affect the meal. In fact, it maintained the high quality taste and texture enjoyed prior to freezing.

Let me start by saying I love Indian food. I have been looking for a consistently good Indian restaurant since moving out of the city and I have found it. Everything is fresh and delicious.

Whoa!!! Delco has a place that has got me saying Mmm and Yummm during my entire meal. I think I over stuffed myself! The place wasn’t hard to find, but I did circle the shopping center a little before finding it. I never thought I was ever a fan of Indian, but the wifey definitely opened my eyes to a whole new level. Now I crave Indian often and try to look for the best tikka masala. I think I just found my new Indian spot! Punjabi Tikka Masala — basically the same thing as chicken tikka masala. Sauce was absolutely delicious. A few chicken pieces were on the dry tough side, but the dish was so good, it really didn’t matter. I ordered it at a level 4 spicy and I didn’t think it was spicy enough. Next time, I will order it at the highest level. Goat curry — also a huge hit! creamy and so flavorful. The meat was so tender and soaked up the curry well. Garlic Naan — probably the best Naan i have ever had. It was crispy yet soft, and so flavorful. We started off with 2 orders, but then ordered a 3rd. Yes, it’s that good! My son ate a good amount of this too. For those who do not use the Unilocal app, I highly recommend downloading it and checking in. They have a check in offer! :-) You welcome!!! Overall: I can’t wait to go back. I will have to come during lunch one day as they offer buffet during lunch hours everyday.

We are semi-regulars are Shere-E-Punjab. The service is usually good, and the food is always delicious. It is very decently priced as well, and is usually never busy when we come for dinner. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there are only maybe 2 vegan entrée options.

I went before to their location the one located in media. But never got chance to go to this one. So I called first and ask if they have buffet in dinner. They said no only in lunch I was little disappointed. But still me and my husband decided to go. We went their dinner time. Food was good not so impressive. Customer service was good. But I wish they have buffet in dinner too so i would have chance to try different dishes. Overall it was good experience.

Excellent Indian food and the quality is consistent — never greasy or over spiced. I’ve ordered almost everything on the menu over the years and have never been disappointed. I travel to India for work 1 – 2 times a year and can say this food is definitely authentic. With not many Indian places in Delco, I’m glad Shere-E-Punjab does it well!

Expensive but worth every penny. This is quality food, and I have never had so much as a sub-par course here. And this is coming from an American who scoffed at Indian food till just a few years ago. In fact, I brought my dad(who never eats anything other than steak) here, and by the end of the night, the tender, perfectly spiced Lamb Korma had won him over. I’ll be back, and when dad feels like a respite from steak, he will be too.

If you don’t try their lunch buffet something is wrong with you. This is NOT your standard buffet. The food is amazing. It also looks too good to eat. What lunch buffet do you know that has food that looks too pretty to eat? None that I know, except Shere-E-Punjab. Fabulous value. a Ten spot gets you all-you-can-eat Indian food. The atmosphere is peaceful, quiet, especially considering it is in a shopping center. Service is very good. Even the free bread they bring you is amazing. Easily my favorite lunch spot.

Yummy Indian! Vegetable samosas were my husband’s favorite. The portions were generous and delicious. We’re moving to the area soon, and will absolutely be back.

Lunch buffet is amazing. The chicken tiki masala will blow your mind. Be sure to loosen your belt before you come here for the lunch buffet. I went out at least two notches. The prices are great. The service is wonderful. The décor is OK but who cares if it doesn’t look great when the food is throwdown quality!

We visited this establishment on a Friday around 7 pm. There were about 5 other tables occupied. We started our meal with the cashew naan, it was delicious! We then ordered an eggplant and chicken dish that comes with rice. Both were very good. The rice has great flavor on its own. You can customize the heat level for every dish. We ordered the rice pudding for dessert. It was creamy and better than the average rice pudding. I typically don’t like rice pudding but this one was thicker than I have had in the past. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I feel like the décor could use some help though. The seat to our booth was ripped which isn’t particularly attractive. We will definitely come back for more Indian food.

Very clean, nice people, reasonably priced. If you like good Indian food then this is a great place to try. For take out they charge by the container, not the pound. The naan bread was PERFECT!

Really happy to have them in the neighborhood. Excellent food which is, with few exceptions, served very mild unless requested otherwise. I go there regularly and am always happy with the experience.

So I actually LOVE Shere-E-Punjab. Their food is wildly inconsistent in both quality and flavor, their website is an absolute train wreck, their grub hub menu is extremely incomplete, and their over-the-phone ordering is basically impossible to do because of mild language barriers. THATBEINGSAID, I have never left Shere-E-Punjab unhappy. Their servers are very helpful and very gracious, their daily buffet is AMAZING, extremely reasonably priced, and varied enough for all taste preferences, and their food is always prepared quickly and to your specifications. They’re amazing, even if they do kind of flub up every now and again. Shere-E-Punjab, I really hope you get that delivery driver you’ve been advertising for, because I’d probably order from you every night of the week.
